So there are words swirling around that Verstappen is walking around Mexico with a couple of body guards.    There are prolly some people in there who want Perez to win and would do everything they can to make it happen..?  

Perez to get fastest lap is lined at 11...  Not saying it's gonna happen for sure but he does techincally drive the second fastest car on the grid.

In practice I doubt Bagnaia will push that hard as he knows one crash can risk this second title which would be a huge achievement for him personally so I don't think he will push it that hard,he will be happy with second places.

Of course, Bagnaia will be very careful not to fall and will be quite happy with second place in the remaining races this season. But Bagnaia still needs to win once again in the main race and sprint race or in two sprint races to secure himself in second place. Because Jorge Martin will give one hundred percent of his ability in the remaining races because he knows that several other riders can also be obstacles for him and also for Bagnaia so Jorge Martin will continue to push as hard as possible in the remaining races.

If Bagnaia doesn't crash this weekend it doesn't matter for him in terms of the championship, the important thing is Bagnaia scores points, and it doesn't matter what Martin does, for Bagnaia the most important thing this weekend is points, it would also increase the pressure on Martin, to make up points he has to be in front of Bagnaia and best of all win.

Earning points in every race is a must for bagnania but it should be a good point in every race, because if Martin win all the remaining races and Pecco earn small points only then he will lose the title.
With 4 races remaining means that every rider is still possible to earn max (25*4)+(12*4)= 148 points while the gap between Martin and Pecco is only 27 points so it is possible for Bagnania to lose the championship title.
Lets say Martin get all the 148 points, means that his total point will be 339+148=487, means that pecco needs to collect at least 488 points by the end of the season or he needs to collect at least 122 points.
I think, Pecco is not a type of rider who will try to be safe but he is a fighter who will try the best in every race, so I think Pecco will play as he used to do since the first race till the latest race but maybe he will be a bit careful and not forcing himself too much.

It is definitely disappointing to get a P2 finish and get DQ because of something like this, but rules are rules would be true here without a doubt. If the rules state that you have to have certain measures and your floor has something different, wouldn't it be worse if they ended up accepting that? Not like they didn't check others, they checked Max and Norris as well and those two were doing fine, so that means there is nothing really wrong with them, and the other two had issues.

Leclerc is normal, that dude was born unlucky, well he is a Monaco born rich dude who races at f1 for Ferrari so saying he is "unlucky" would be wrong in general, just unlucky at driving. But Hamilton was a shocker to me, Mercedes normally cares about these stuff.

It is quite attracting to bet on Perez's fastest lap, isn't it?    However Perez couldn't do so in the previous two races on this track. Bottas got it in 2021 and Russell was the one who did it in 2022 too. Perez's performance in the recent races has been really disappointing either. To get the fastest lap here he would need some really solid gap with the car behind but we will see.

I guess it is better than betting on Perez to take pole position. Because his qualifying performance has been really poor for quite much time.

After seeing the results of the FP1 session this afternoon where Jorge Martin was able to set the best time and was in first place with Bagnaia who was in tenth place, it was very clear that Jorge Martin really pushed himself when it came to taking risks. Now I'm watching the Practice session to see where the two will be after setting their best times.

I also read this rumor yesterday and indeed the Ducati sporting director said so, but it could also be very possible because considering that the team that oversees Marc Marquez is an independent team that generally doesn't have a lot of money so maybe Gresini will have a little difficulty paying Marc. Perez for pole at 17.00looks like it's value too but between pole and fastest lap, I think I feel safer betting on Perez fastest lap as he'll got 71 chances to win it.  As for getting pole position, there's too much pressure from Verstappen and the team.  Perez is supposed to be the second driver so even if he's faster than his team mate in quali, there could be something or somebody that could force him to bring it down a notch.  I'm guessing Marko Helmut.  Lol.

Anyway I have 5 bucks on Perez for fastest lap.  I'll be happy to win 55 bucks and bet it for a 100x leveraged futures bet on PEPE.

It is the situation indeed. The engine of Charles Leclerc's car is also said to have a potential to have durability problems in the Mexico GP. However Vasseur decided not to make any change. They are said to be waiting for next weeks to make new changes in his car. This news was enough to make me nervous about Leclerc's race. I won't be surprised if he can't finish the race or lose a lot of pace after a point.

If Sainz is also in a similar condition then it doesn't seem logical to expect much from Ferrari at this race weekend.

The Mexican GP will be the race where the teams' technical reinforcements will be at the forefront. Especially the cooling issue is very important. This is because the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit in the Mexican capital, located at high altitude (2.200), is famous for its huge cooling requirements to compensate for the reduced air density.

This means that the air density is down by around 20% and there is less air to cool the engine, brakes and other key elements in the cars. This means that teams are introducing new parts specifically designed to deliver extreme cooling solutions, and no team is bringing only performance related parts to Mexico. I think the race will not be based on absolute performance but experience will be at the forefront.

Ah cool.  It could give Perez a higher chance of getting the fastest lap in the race as it's going to be more likely that the Ferraris are gonna be behind him rather than in front of him which is also going to make him struggle.

if martin can reach the podium in buriram, it might be difficult for bagnaia to achieve his world title. even though many people tend to favor bagnaia, we cannot rule out the factors that could make martin take first place from bagnaia. martin also no longer wanted to "gamble" and changed his strategy to play safer than before. the problem with his tires might be that they are adjusted to his opponent's tires and that might be quite difficult for bagnaia. well, we can see how the battle between these two will be very exciting to watch.

Jorge Martin will continue to adapt whatever he uses to what riders from the Ducati factory use in order to continue to compete with the defending champion, Bagnaia. Because Jorge Martin still hasn't given up on continuing to hunt for the 2023 MotoGP world title this season, but based on the distance of points that Bagnaia has so far, Bagnaia only needs to win one of the main races and one of the sprint races. The rest, Bagnaia just has to keep trying to reach the second podium in order to secure his championship this season, so the pressure is now on Jorge Martin.

That is a good information to know before betting anything on the Ferraris and in fact we may use this information to bet against them,kinda betting like Leclerc not in top 6 for example and even not in top 10 to try an extreme bet.Giovinazzi is a great driver for me and the reason he was out of Alfa Romeo was because Zhou had big sponsors behind his back as for the skills Zhou has brought nothing to the table and Giovinazzi would surely be a better driver for F1.

In the extreme case of Sainz skipping the GP I would love to see Giovinazzi take his place as I think he will drive very well in a Ferrari and it is a long time I am not seeing an Italian driver in a Ferrari,it would be nice to see,definitely.

There are less than 2 hours left for qualifying to be underway. I never like to rely on the results of practice sessions. Because teams are preferring parts in worse condition for these sessions generally and this makes sense a lot. Because they need to keep clear from possible grid penalties as much as possible.

Albon seemed impressive in practice sessions so far but I can't be sure that he would be as good as that as for qualifying tonight.

The only thing I'm confident is that Verstappen would take pole position.

Well since Albon has been consistent in both practices I am not saying that he will start from the front row in tomorrow race but I am pretty confident that he can make it again to Q3 in qualifying meaning he will start from top 10 and he is been doing this some consecutive races now,for me Redbull should take notes as they removed him for non performing when he was at Redbull,now he has experience and has matured a lot while Perez I doubt he will continue to race for Redbull based on his performances and we may see Albon another time at Redbull soon.

Verstappen should take the Pole easy as he has the best car and his appetite for winning as much as possible is not deteriorating at all after becoming already World Champion.

In all sessions at the Buriram circuit in Thailand this week, almost all of the first positions were wiped out by Jorge Martin (except in the race because it will only start today). Yesterday it was quite apparent that it was very difficult for Bagnaia to overtake several riders in front of him, which put him in an unfavorable position because yesterday Bagnaia didn't get a single point.

and in the race, martin will occupy 1st place and bagnaia will be in p6. this might be a good opportunity for martin to close his gap with bagnaia. and my feeling says that martin can take p1 in this race seeing his good performance in the sprint race.

Jorge Martin, who has managed to cut the points gap with Bagnaia from 27 points to 18 points after winning the Sprint Race yesterday, is starting to again create quite fierce competition because today Bagnaia must be able to finish the race on the podium in order to maintain the points distance with Jorge Martin because Bagnaia he still needs a win to become world champion this season and that is now starting to look tough for him.
