My card is XFX rx480 gtr xxx. Do you think,  if i find a way to cool the vrams, my problem will be solved? Or are the vrams gone now?
I expressed only a guess that your problem is with the VRAM. If the GPU fails during miner initialization (OpenCL loading, DAG file generation), that means either the software does not allow proper initialization (check drivers, OS, recheck BIOS if flashed) or the GPU has massive hardware faults. If the memory has been fried earlier, it's too late. BTW, the VRAM chips in XFX GTR look covered by a bracket (most probably - of plastic, conducts heat badly) and that differs from XFX RS, where VRAM chips are uncovered.
Try connecting only the XFX RX480 to the MB, directly in the first PCI-E x16 slot and run a miner instance.
Ok, thank you for your suggestion. I will try.

Guys, anybody have the exact information about ethereum switching from Pow to Pos? I just read an article that Casper is coming earlier than planned and maybe with the next ethereum upgrade (maybe even before the end of year or early in 2018). What exactly that means for us miners? Some say that it will be hybrid Pow/Pos... But, if it is just Pos, and if it happens in a couple of months, are we doomed?

I would not be surprised to see a hybrid POW/POS implementation sooner than people think. At the last Ethereum developer meeting it was discussed preparation for the POW/POS implementation is at a point where it could be released in the next hard fork, Constantinople, which should be within 6-9 months.

I am receiving those errors from time to time:

Remote management: read-only mode, command miner_getfile ignored
Remote management: read-only only, command miner_reboot ignored

Does someone hacked me?

Sounds like it. There is a documented exploit for the Claymore Remote Manager API.

https://medium.com/@s3yfullah/hacking-cryptocurrency-miners-with-osint-techniques-677bbb3e0157

I would close any open ports on your router and change the default port of the Ethman manangement tool.

just some info to sum things up:
I've got various 570s (hashing at 28.5-30MH) and vegas 64(40-41MH) running on winX anniversary with drivers: 17.10.2, 17.10.3, 17.11.1
Using overdriven tool for proper (not the same values for various stages, as claymore does) frequencies and volts - works great!
(actually I use it for vegas FE with 2017Q4 driver as well)

NEVER had an issue with setting "compute mode" - just fucking ignore the AMD GUI crap

Also for all those lazy people using AB - just DON'T. It should be the tool of last resort - only if nothing else works and immediate results are required... and can be achieved without fucking everything up.
Seriously. I'm tired of repeating myself on this issue. Don't use AB for AMD ever.

Hi,
I got two issues on Claymore:
Rig contains:
ASUS z270-a GAMING
8gb ram
8x RX 570 4G (one rig contains six)
I have m.2 to pcie on five rigs, rig with 6 cards is not using m.2 slot.
This is my config.txt: https://gist.github.com/mmojzis/95061745ad0901574e1758469f75f880
And this is screenshot of consoles of these rigs:
http://i68.tinypic.com/inbpq8.png
Last cards are crashing after some time. Tried many settings and it didn't help.
Second issue is when DAG is recreated miner stops mining and all cards show 0Mh/s.
Also Claymore is trying to restart itself and it shows that cards have only 1400MB of memory free so it looks like old DAG is still in card's memory.
Thanks for help all!

Anyone having difficulty setting Compute mode for all their cards under the new drivers (17.11.1) on Windows 10 FCU?

After AMD Settings restarts, Compute mode switches back to Graphics. FML.

This is too much  Grin

Set it to 20GB and you're set.

My rig that runs with 8 cards has 20GB set in the page file and it runs mighty fine.
Virtual memory used is around 92% while physical memory used is around 60% (4gb ram).

Anyone having difficulty setting Compute mode for all their cards under the new drivers (17.11.1) on Windows 10 FCU?

After AMD Settings restarts, Compute mode switches back to Graphics. FML.

What's wrong with 17.10.3 driver? This is what i'm using with the win10 FCU and it's running okay. Compute settings sticks with all 8 cards.

I build and sell rigs! I also sell ssd clones of the most stable Windows+Claymore+AMD driver combo you'd ever used.

Pfft, will answer my own question.

The UI was screwed up. I set Compute mode for all cards (restarted AMD settings each time), then did a system restart and opened AMD Settings; Compute mode was set for all cards.

What speed are you getting using RX580 8G

I can answer that for my case.

I am getting an average of ~29.2MH/s ETH & 7000MH/s DCR, per RX 580 8GB Nitro+, consuming a little bit less than 160w per gpu

Windows 10 Pro
Radeon™ Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.1
Claymore Dual Miner v.10.1
Modded BIOS

my config:

-esm 0
-asm 1
-etha 0
-estale 0
-mode 0
-dcri 30
-retrydelay 2
-tt 70
-tstop 80
-fanmax 85
-fanmin 15
-cclock 1140
-mclock 2070 (average across all my gpus)
-cvddc 850
-mvddc 850
-platform 1

hey guys
How are you!

I'm trying to use this software to mine dual ethereum and another alcoin, the problem is that the pool never recognizes my mining company.
It never shows statistics of my work, it's as if it did not exist.
but I'm mining at 20mh / s average.

I'm using the latest amd 17.40 drivers and the ubuntu server.
it will be the amd drivers that cause the problem?

Thanks for the help
