just some info to sum things up: I've got various 570s (hashing at 28.5-30MH) and vegas 64(40-41MH) running on winX anniversary with drivers: 17.10.2, 17.10.3, 17.11.1 Using overdriven tool for proper (not the same values for various stages, as claymore does) frequencies and volts - works great! (actually I use it for vegas FE with 2017Q4 driver as well)
NEVER had an issue with setting "compute mode" - just fucking ignore the AMD GUI crap
Also for all those lazy people using AB - just DON'T. It should be the tool of last resort - only if nothing else works and immediate results are required... and can be achieved without fucking everything up. Seriously. I'm tired of repeating myself on this issue. Don't use AB for AMD ever.

Hi, I got two issues on Claymore: Rig contains: ASUS z270-a GAMING 8gb ram 8x RX 570 4G (one rig contains six) I have m.2 to pcie on five rigs, rig with 6 cards is not using m.2 slot. This is my config.txt: https://gist.github.com/mmojzis/95061745ad0901574e1758469f75f880And this is screenshot of consoles of these rigs: http://i68.tinypic.com/inbpq8.pngLast cards are crashing after some time. Tried many settings and it didn't help. Second issue is when DAG is recreated miner stops mining and all cards show 0Mh/s. Also Claymore is trying to restart itself and it shows that cards have only 1400MB of memory free so it looks like old DAG is still in card's memory. Thanks for help all!

Anyone having difficulty setting Compute mode for all their cards under the new drivers (17.11.1) on Windows 10 FCU?
After AMD Settings restarts, Compute mode switches back to Graphics. FML.

My rig that runs with 8 cards has 20GB set in the page file and it runs mighty fine. Virtual memory used is around 92% while physical memory used is around 60% (4gb ram). Anyone having difficulty setting Compute mode for all their cards under the new drivers (17.11.1) on Windows 10 FCU?

What's wrong with 17.10.3 driver? This is what i'm using with the win10 FCU and it's running okay. Compute settings sticks with all 8 cards.

I build and sell rigs! I also sell ssd clones of the most stable Windows+Claymore+AMD driver combo you'd ever used.

Pfft, will answer my own question. The UI was screwed up. I set Compute mode for all cards (restarted AMD settings each time), then did a system restart and opened AMD Settings; Compute mode was set for all cards.

What speed are you getting using RX580 8G
I can answer that for my case. I am getting an average of ~29.2MH/s ETH & 7000MH/s DCR, per RX 580 8GB Nitro+, consuming a little bit less than 160w per gpu Windows 10 Pro Radeon™ Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.1 Claymore Dual Miner v.10.1 Modded BIOS my config: -esm 0 -asm 1 -etha 0 -estale 0 -mode 0 -dcri 30 -retrydelay 2 -tt 70 -tstop 80 -fanmax 85 -fanmin 15 -cclock 1140 -mclock 2070 (average across all my gpus) -cvddc 850 -mvddc 850 -platform 1

hey guys How are you!
I'm trying to use this software to mine dual ethereum and another alcoin, the problem is that the pool never recognizes my mining company. It never shows statistics of my work, it's as if it did not exist. but I'm mining at 20mh / s average.
I'm using the latest amd 17.40 drivers and the ubuntu server. it will be the amd drivers that cause the problem?
Thanks for the help

Mine ranges from 30.0 to 30.3 eth and 750-760 dcr @145-150w across all 8 cards. 1160/2025/875 with dcri25.
Electricity costs much for me so I prefer the lowest possible consumption. I can get to the numbers (performance wise) that you posted but not with 145-150w. How did you measure that? I use the following method for measuring gpu power draw: - Remove all gpus and risers from the rig. I mean unplug them completely
- Measure idle consumption of the rig.
- Reconnect all gpus and risers
- Measure mining consumption of the rig.
- Perform a mining - idle consumption and divide by the number of the gpus
Keep in mind that if you have your GPUs or risers plugged in (even without having them mining) they do consume power. Also, I only measure power consumption using a wall meter. Did you use that methodology for your measurements @greatauror28 ? What brand of RX 580 do you have?

guys i really need help with this, last night i downloaded claymore's (and other eth mining GUI app) the thing is as soon as i start mining ETH my entire PC becomes sluggish to the point you can't control ANYTHING there, the mouse is almost frozen, ctrl+alt+delete is responding after 5+ minutes, everything is almost to the point of being frozen, i was forced to click the shutdown button on my chassis and wait 3+ minutes for the machines to suspend all processes and eventually shutdown the PC !...
Not sure what was wrong but am sure the CPU was Not utilized at all so why did this happen ?!?...
My PC is pretty much highest end, with 5820k 6 Core 12 Threads, and 3x GTX 970's on SLI !!...
i was monitoring the program and it was reporting 0 hash/sec so it wasn't working either, is this because am having nvidia cards and why is this terrible slowness happening and can we avoid it and be able to mine properly with 3x GTX 970s ?
Help appreciated...

Hello everyone, apologies if this already came up before. I hope you can point me in the right direction. I get the following error:
watchdog - eminer thread hangs Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner!
no issues are being reported in log files with any GPUs. Sometimes it happens after connection to the pool has been lost. Sometimes after dev fee mining when it tries to re-connect.
example from log file:
ETH: Stratum - Cannot connect to eu1.ethermine.org:4444 ETH: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec... watchdog - eminer thread hangs Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner!
Rig setup: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.11.0-kfd-compute-rocm-rel-1.6-180 x86_64) claymore 10 13 x Sapphire RX 570 Nitro + 4gb Elpida plenty of RAM and swap I am on WIFI with USB dongle.
total used free shared buff/cache available Mem: 3735572 619720 2799392 12704 316460 2909084 Swap: 48090108 0 48090108
Any pointers welcome.
