@tylerderden  good work   Cheesy
@MalReynolds spend the time to get it right, don't rush it.   Wink

But to change the subject for a bit:  Burst are doing well.  up 30% today.   They use a PoC algo.  Proof of Capacity!  You mine with hard drives.  It uses loads less power.  If could integrate something like that with ethereum Classic....  Again... it would open the network to more people.
You can mine Burst with a phone if you have a good size memory card.  Think of Africa and all those smart phones

BE MINDFUL
You know sometimes you can get tied up with money and politics and not only lose sight of the tech, but the tech can pass you by while you are preoccupied.  Why waste time with the things you cannot change, when there are thing you can be involved in that can bring about change.

We have a world Computer.  Top Dev is a Russian coder,  we have devs in Japan, a large mining infrastructure in China,  and nodes, miners and supporters all over the world.   People are working around the clock.  So.....  can we put aside the money and politics for a short while now please and move forward.  If Alex holds the keys, then he gets to choose what he does with the TOKENS. You only own what you can hold.  If you lose the keys, you lose those TOKENS

DO NOT INVEST WHAT YOU CANNOT AFORD TO LOSE...   IT IS BAD FOR THE SCIENCE

That said, i know what is going on is just so massive

I agree POC should be considered in the mix for the long term fix.  I think the first steps are to disable the diff bomb and set a timeline for where we go forward.  POW by itself does not scale and is why BTC is slower than molassis in January.  That is where we will need to leverage multiple methods in a hybrid if we want to scale.  I think if we wait until we have a problem it may be too late to address.

POC on low powered small devices is pretty cool isn't it?  Grin

Like a say, prob the dark hacker come from eth team.

Just realise and think. they create TheDAO, and this is hacked, bit the "good hacker" bring back the coins, but just a part of them.

I think this DAO hack, and the FORK just happen for a big play to stole money!
i just wish some law enforcement would have a look at it.
the whole situation does not look good.
the dao the hack the fork , and no report to law enforcement, gosh if you dont report you are helping the thief.

in my country they for sure would have to answer some very unpleasant questions.

i wonder how that is in swiss ? they foundation is lokated in swiss . a hack is a internet crime and i think i heard there is a inernational conected crime force for interent crime .

They may be using or plan to use these funds as their personal war chest against ETC.  That way they have no skin in the game in the attacks... The whole thing really is strange and suspicious.

It looks like the dev team want to fork to fix both the bomb and the algo combo in one fell swoop.

I did not realise that it was not reported.  Although, kinda difficult to do anything unless you know their territory.  GCHQBude would have had online history of everything for the last 3days. What if it were done from sat-link internet, in a cabin cruiser, in international waters? I would have reported it to the Swiss authorities though.

Has any dev team fully committed to ETC yet? Last I've heard Hoskinson was thinking about it but there's no clear full commitment.

Go join the Slack group, tons of action going on in there.  I think a team is being assembled right now. Lots of momentum behind this project and it's only 2 weeks in, never seen anything like it.

So you say ETH are broke and have no money to pay the tax bill,  poor Ethereum, hope they can have a whip round or somthing however, not to sure what that has to do, or how it effects ETC.  Alex could lend them a few bob!
