A lot of talking and so on, can i change the topic for just a little and help me and other interested parties?
How about solo mining ETC ? Geth 1.4.10 with the --no fork support switch is enough to get ETC instance ? How to verify if the wallet I generated is actually ETC one ? How to check i'm on the right chain in the geth ? Thanks Smiley

Just start geth, look at the "Last block" line, and compare the number to ETH or ETC block explorer.

Edit: it should also say something like "Geth is currently configured to OPPOSE the DAO hard-fork!" but still make sure to double check the block height.

Solo mining at this stage is pointless unless you have several gigs of equipment laying around

translation, hi my name is rolik and i must post bullshit to gain steem ...
absolutly bullshit

the post title should be just  "WTF"?  cuz that's what you say after wasting 5 minutes to read it  ...

I would suggest to join me in the crusade against the get-paid-to-post crap aka steemit:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1566129

Otherwise the forum will drown in said crap.

Ok, right, on topic... ummm... well, it's on WSJ so it must be true:

http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2016/08/01/the-great-digital-currency-debate-new-ethereum-vs-ethereum-classic/

this is ONLY my mind !!!!

and it's only my mind that you will post bullshit to gain steem....

if I'm wrong, write your arguments in favor of classic ??
this is fork for trading only this

say it with some prominet words :
https://medium.com/@Stampery/why-stampery-supports-ethereum-classic-4c86ec7cca17#.r3ncz8zdl

ETH HF is the clone of the true Ethereum, and this is classic !

Make sure you have the correct chain.  Check block Number #19918xx is the same as in your geth as on http://fork.ethstats.net/

good luck!  When i started solo in April i hit 2 blocks within 36 hours of mining on 11MH/s
It is risky, you may not hit one for a while

Difficulty is low on ETC.  it is 18% of ETH Difficulty

40 MH/s should hit a block every 3.2 days @ 100% luck
a pool would give about 1.5 ETC per day

100% percent behind Ethereum Classic. I'm all in and I won't be surprised seeing ETC overtaking ETH soon.  Smiley

ETC hashrate and price still kinda low, so its very sensitive jumping from 1st to 3rd most profitable mined coin daily.

If it got the hashrate of ETH without jumping 600% in price, it would be valueless to mine.

So ethf has centralized foundation, premine, vitalik, forks, copyrights and trademarks. Dapp devs should fear being banned at any moment. Ethf is the opposite of all crypto should be. Ethf people are even advocating closed source development lol
