I signed up as a businessman who has already made an initial investment into my bitcoin-based storefront. I've tried starting a serious discussion, but apparently my posting is drowned out in a sea of emoticons threads, people asking where they can buy drugs online, and in general people trying to flood their post count and logged-in hours as fast as they can.

I would like to be able to discuss with the wider forum at large what they feel needs to be done to make bitcoin more successful. As I said, I am planning a bitcoin-based venture, I am not seeking investors as I have already made the initial investments necessary and am now just working on logistics, and sitting around here trying to make posts about smilie faces seems to be a bit of a waste of time.

Hopefully I can be whitelisted at this point,

Please let me out.  I believe I have the appropriate number of posts, and have waited the 4 hours.  However, I am still locked.  Please help.

I believe it counts the total time you've been active on the site, rather than simply counting the hours since you've registered. You can check the former in your profile.

I've been a lurker for a couple of months.  I just registered to share a Rainmeter skin I created for monitoring your mining pool stats.  I was hoping someone else would create it, but that didn't happen so I had to do it my self Smiley  I'd like outa here so I can share it in the mining forum and get some feedback on it.  Here's the evidence I'm not a spammer: h**p://razorzero.deviantart.com/art/Bitcoin-Pool-Monitor-PXT-222472360

*sigh*

I've been reading the forums for a while, just never got around to creating an account until now, as I was about to respond with a bug report to Con Kolivas' cgminer thread. I can't see anywhere else to submit bug reports.

Somehow I missed the whole newbie forum requirements until I went to post... I've been mining for about 3 months, as you can see here.

Edit: Well, at least in the meanwhile, this post lets me PM CK with the bug information...

Hello,

(requesting whitelisting)

Can't say I know a lot about Bitcoin but I hope to learn more from lurking the forums. I probably won't post much, but would like to be able to get involved eventually.

Hi,

I'm relatively new to bitcoin, started about a month ago, but I'm not a newbie by far.
I have two mining rigs going, and am having problems with the second rig.

As far as I can tell no one else has had an issue like mine (via google and forum searching), so I had to register in order to post my problem and see if anyone could help.
Would love to get access to the Mining forum so I can post my problem there as it's been 24 hours of hell so far trying to get this rig going.

I'm doing 4x5830s if you're interested running msi 890fxa-gd70, 2.9ghz dual core, 2gb ram and 2x600w PSU.
My other rig is 3x6950s on evga classified x58, 3.2ghz i7 920 oc, 24gb ram and 1000w PSU
I purchased these parts and built these machines myself.

Do I know about bitcoin? Yes, and I am mining as we speak.

The purpose of me asking is that I saw a topic on a reward for getting businesses to accept bitcoin. I have an in with a business I think would accept bitcoins, and I would like to post there so that they can see if I make progress or not (so I can get the reward as per instructions)

this song came to mind... so what what can i say? BitCoin loves me and i love her back. give it a listen and a read Smiley

sing along! @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTu75hLSiU4

BitCoin:
Please Mr. Jailer, won't you let my man go free?
Please Mr. Jailer, won't you let my man go free?
He don't belong in prison, though he's guilty as can be,
But the only crime he's guilty of is simply loving me.
Please Mr. Jailer, won't you let my man go free?

(Please Mr. Jailer) won't you let my man go free?
Yeah yeah yeah

Inmates:
Please Mr. Jailer, won't you let this jailbird free?
Whoa ho ho

BitCoin:
Just look into his eyes, open up that door.
Just listen to his guitar, you'll know the score.

Tod:
Please Mr. Jailer, let an honest man go free.

BitCoin:
Yeah yeah yeah

Tod and inmates:
Please Mr. Jailer, don't you make no lifer outta me.
I'm innocent, I swear it. Let my woman testify,
She'll tell you where I was that night,

BitCoin:
Yeah I'm his alibi.

BitCoin:
Please Mr. Jailer, won't you let my man go free?

Tod and inmates:
Well I'm tired of pressing liscense plates down in this rotten hole,
I gotta reach the outside before I lose control.
Please Mr. Jailer, don't you make no lifer outta me.

BitCoin: Yeah Yeah Yeah

Tod and inmates:
Please Mr. Jailer, let me out of this penitentiary
(Whoa, let me out)
Please Mr. Jailer, don't you make no lifer out of me.

BitCoin: (Please Mr. Jailer) won't you let my baby go free?
Whoa ho ho oh, whoa ho, let my man go free.

Tod
Whoa oh oh, don't make no lifer out of me.
please Mr. Jailer, can't you see how much love she's got for me

BitCoin: Well, let him go! let him go! let him go! let my man go free. Yeah Whoa

Tod and immates: Please mr Jailer. Let me out!
Please mr. Jailer, don't make me shout.
Please mr. Jailer, Well let me out!

PS. im already a forum member, just have a small project in mind that i dont want to be connected with and i dont know if i can even get it off the ground. having a way to post about it in other sections will be of use if/when i get it running. i honestly dont expect to get out.. but its one more post and this song just plain ole fits Smiley

this forum seems just a hair bit counter productive with such a long lock out of 4 Hours...

I'm not saying security and anti spam isn't bad but i see it as counter productive.

Any ways i'm merely trying to throw input to my current mining pools who use these forums but sadly can't till let free from this
Proverbial prison. guess they will have to wait about my 2.6 GH/s rig setup i'm putting on there pool sad face.

I've been reading on this forum for a while now, not logged in obviously because it doesn't make a difference as I am not an established user. I would like to send PM's to 2 people regarding a Mac OS X binary for a miner and regarding a payout back-end for a private mining pool.

Unfortunately, upon registration I found myself to have little added privileges over a non-registered users, that is to say: none? Oh right, I *can* post here. Worse yet, in order to prevent spam, this forum has set up an "anti-spam measure", whereby one first has to 'spam' the newbie section in order to have the "anti-spam curse" lifted... Huh I mean, it *must* be less time and resource consuming to blacklist spammers and ohh, I don't know, verify an e-mail address and add a Captcha code to the registration process, versus having to deal with this kind of crap all the time? Wink

So, I am hereby requesting whitelisting, that is if I don't get banned on the spot for speaking what's on my mind, of course Smiley Welcome to the stone age! Roll Eyes

I've been a member of the forum for two months. I have mostly lurked, but have posted (and started the wiki topic) on one subject of interest to me:

That should demonstrate I know more than the average noob. I would like to be whitelisted so I can discuss setting up a proxy, I've hit a roadblock. Thanks.

I'm trying to post in a thread for deepbit.net about ufasofts miner, comparing it to another miner suggested because I'm losing about 300 MH/s (3/5ths of my mining capabilities) by not being able to use ufasofts, so hoping to get more information and find a better situation, thanks.

Hey, I'd just got new to bitcoin and as a youngman I am dramatically interested in Economics. I think Bitcoin will help me understand more of Economics and being able to contribute to these forums to give constructive feedback and criticism on theories would definitely understand the whole concept of an economy more, this will also help me with my school next year. I called it school because it isn't a fancy thing like college. It's school. Tongue

Hi,
I'd love to be whitelisted. Although I'm new to bitcoin, I'm not new to electronics/PCB design. I'm actually looking to post in the FPGA section (usually I just lurk around in forums until I have something to add). I'm sure I'd add value to the ongoing discussion on that side.

http://fillwithcoolblogname.blogspot.com/

That's my blog, I have access to BGA rework/repair equipment at work and I'd be glad to assist in anyway.
