I've been here on the forums for a little while, mostly reading. I mine occasionally and I've bought a few bitcoins for personal use.

I'd really like to be able to reply to the topics in other areas of the Forum that are not "newbie" enabled.

Please consider whitelisting me. Smiley Thanks!

Hello - I've just started with mining bitcoins, and would like to be able to request help for some GPU issues in some of the other forums and maybe discuss the bitcoin subject in general.

I'm not sure if I should have been automatically whitelisted (first login was about a day ago and I've had 5 posts for a few hours).

thanks,

Hi

I've been mining since June 10th or so and have an issue that I'd like addressed under the technical section.

Quick explanation on what I need answered: I had 26 bitcoins in mybitcoin wallet when the ewallet site went down. I received 49% which was just shy of 13 bitcoins which they approved my claim 1 week ago or so. I provided my bitcoin wallet address which they requested for transferring. My mistake was I thought they wanted my original address and not the new address so my 13 bitcoins are unclaimed and can be seen in the bitcoin log. Is their a way for me to retrieve these bitcoins or are these forever lost.

edited for: It shows in the blockexplorer my bitcoin address to which the 13 bitcoins were sent, but they have not been redeemed. My original bitcoin address was the address that mybitcoin issued to me which I've had BTCGuild and deepbit send my mining bitcoins too. Essentially, I had mybitcoins send my claim back to themselves since they originally issued me that bitcoin address.

I've been mining for just a few weeks (having learned about bitcoin from a friend) and while I like the concept, I'd prefer to actually have something tangible for my bitcoins so I came here to try to sell the few I have.

Um yeah, so I wanted to post a question in a guide thread, but couldn't because you guys presume guilt, like some kind of third-world country. Can I not have to be stuck here? Thanks.

Can you please whitelist me? It been lurking here months but never needed to post. I'm having issues with a mining pool and they don't have any way to contact them except this forum.

Could I get out of here? I have posted a couple of posts already but I have been mining for over a month or more and have 3 rigs set up right now. I also published a Joomla extension utilizing the api from BitcoinPlus that can be plugged into any joomla website.

http://www.sanantoniocomputerrepair.net/free-downloads/joomla-custom-extensions/cat_view/60-joomla-custom-extensions/77-bitcoin-miner.html

I would just like to be able to respond to some of the other posts in other areas.

Thanks.

Hey,

I'd like to be whitelisted because I wanted to help developing bitcoin. According to README:

Development process
===================

"
If it is a more complicated or potentially controversial change, then the patch submitter will be asked to start a discussion (if they haven't already) on the development forums:  http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0
"

Currently I cannot start any discussions.  I'm experienced bitcoin user ( > 4 months) as well as programmer ( > 10 years Smiley )

Thanks!

I've written a technical overview (which is a bit more of a "walkthrough" than the Wiki) that I'd like to share, but haven't posted anything here prior.  Hopefully its content grants me a pass out of the newbie cage.  (I've been doing a modest amount of mining, and am in the process of developing a ColdFusion front-end to the Bitcoin API.)

I deserve leaving the newbie area because:

1. I know EXACTLY what a Merkle signature scheme is
2. I know at least a method of traffic analysis of the TOR network
3. I've memorized the genesis block
