It pretty much look like Byteball is not going to recover at this point, people are now considering it as free money just like they did with BCH and simply dumping it, Blackbytes have no value and are not listed in any exchange, I can't say that the project is doing well at this point.

How can I get GBYTE when distributing if I do not have a BTC. I have only Gbyte. Do I just need to keep them in my wallet on the day of distribution?

This is comedy on so many levels. BCH sure is doing horrible ain't it? (aside: once people realize what a marketing disaster the fork is, you'll probably be right... accidentally) And ya, Byteball is doing horrible. ~200M market cap in 8 months with no ICO. What an unmitigated disaster! As for the idea of doing an ICO bot, that really does sound smart! It remains to be seen if any other platform can compete with Ethereum on that front, but I would definitely like to see it attempted. I don't think it's gonna work out for Stellar.

Yes, and if you want to receive free GBB (Blackbytes) as well, be sure to talk to the transition bot.

I think you can link empty BTC adderss. Have you used transition bot? It should guide you just say "Hi" ? If you have problems after reading https://wiki.byteball.org/airdrop ask on http://slack.byteball.org/

Agree with part of free money. Dont agree with rest. There is still 3 weeks till next airdrop and we can see one or two days of nice price rise. u dont see recovery for weeks in byteball for simple reason of badly executed airdrops. Now when we see less new Gbyte as free money we shoudl see steady rise up. Thanks.

Well, it may be that people see it as free money. I want to remember that one GBYTE was valued between $4 and $5 after the first distribution. People heavily dumped the coin after first distribution. Since then it has climbed up to almost $1000 before it corrected back to $350-$400. This is still an enormous value growth. By the way, BCH or BCC is recovering right now, more than 60% in growth today. It needs its time, but Byteball is great tech with a great developer. It pretty much look like Byteball is not going to recover at this point, people are now considering it as free money just like they did with BCH and simply dumping it, Blackbytes have no value and are not listed in any exchange, I can't say that the project is doing well at this point.

Wery interesting altcoin, but nobody get it serious. Rebranding like NEO. Some new features, and stop distribution to bitcoin holder, only for GByte.

I'm not going to compare to the all time lows (that would 3-4x the whole calculation) but after looking at coinmarketcap snapshot : "Cryptocurrencies, the only place on Earth where you have 25x growth in 8 months and still be called a failure"™ Btw, don't forget to sign up and upvote https://shapeshift.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000497510-ADD-REQUEST-Byteball-Symbol-GBYTE-

Thank you for your answers!
The process was very easy. Just installed new wallet to my new computer and copied %LOCALAPPDATA%\byteball -folder from my old computer to the new one. I worked like a charm!
In my previous question I meant that if I'm running full node and try to restore it with passphrase only, I'll lose my blackbytes? So at the moment best way to do backup is do full backup of %LOCALAPPDATA%\byteball -folder?
Yes, recovery from seed will not restore blackbytes. Two ways to backup. 1) Copy entire folder to another directory/computer/backup thumb drive. 2) Full backup (compresses everything into a single file)

Distribution rate for BTC holders will be too low for the next few rounds. It will not make much of a difference in price.

I see a lot of impatient boys in this thread. This is a long term project and the price now is very good. If you were looking to make a quick buck and did not sell until now, then you picked the wrong project. The destribution mechanism is great but requires some time. This project will do very well for sure.

Even the current price satisfied lots of investors' expectations. Here we have $160,000,000 market cap and it keeps booming every single day if there is no majör crypto market crash.

How to unlink BTC address from byteball address.
You can't. But you can move your Bitcoins if you no longer wish to participate in free airdrops. When is the next airdrop? and where can I see pricing of black byte, unable to find it on coinmarketcap

Current price is around .015 GB, or around $4.8 at current GB rates. The website says something like $190.
