How can i trade my blackbytes on exchanges? If i can't trade then what good is it for?

Any reaction?

no exchanges for it. it's p2p only. it's there for the future when a use is found for it. anonymity might become a bunch more important than it is now.

But if we can't trade them, how are we gonna name its price tag? Why would anyone trade something which doesn't have any value?

My guess an exchange will be created some time where people have to link their addresses to the central-exchange address and then can change their blackbyte. A realization of this will probably take some time, though.

you can trade them but only with other individuals. think of it as a possible future bonus and maybe forget about them for now. you might get a nice surprise in the future. i don't know where the price is coming from on byteball.co, maybe here - https://byteball.slack.com/?redir=%2Fmessages%2FC3KFYK5H7

Any idea whats happening?

using a wallet with a bunch of addresses combined?
check in in wich addresses you a balance have and link all of them.

Check linked addresses on transition.byteball.org

All checked. Had to link again same wallet and same message to get updated wallet numbers

It was promised that the distribution formula will change in the future rounds to give more new Bytes to current Byte holders relative to BTC holders.

On June 9 we'll have the 6th round of distribution, and after more than 4 months in the wild and having survived multiple post-distribution dumps, I think now it feels safer than before to participate in the distribution with Bytes, that's why the formula will change in favor of Byte-holders.  Also, I want to accelerate the distribution to minimize the perceived uncertainty connected with undistributed coins.

So, these are the rules for the distribution on June 9 (nothing changes for the today's round):

BTC to bytes: (no change) 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 62.5 MB (0.0625 GB)
BTC to blackbytes: (no change) 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 2.1111 * 62.5 million blackbytes (money supply of blackbytes is 2.1111 times more than that of bytes)
Bytes to bytes: (2x increase) 1 byte on any Byteball address gives you 0.2 new bytes
Bytes to blackbytes: (2x increase) 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.42222 blackbytes

I have just realised that I have linked all my BTC addresses to a Byteball address in my wallet where according to my history I have received some bytes bought in an exchange. However, if I click on receive in my wallet, I see another address. How can I check and be sure that the linked address belongs actually to my wallet?

You can see all byte addresses of your wallet if you click on the cogwheel symbol -> Advanced -> Wallet Information

Hello Byteballers!

Dont forget to replace the default witness JED* with the second witness to appear on the network, the fancy fast 7ULGTPFB72TOYA67YNGMX2Y445FSTL7O

You can also use these hubs which should offer you the above witness if you so choose.

Europe: byteroll.com/bb
Americas: e.byteroll.com/bb
Singapore: s.byteroll.com/bb

Diversify the witnesses, let me collect the transaction fees, and in turn keep the network safe! Happy to help with anything even if you want to start your own witness. Thanks!

Snapshot should occur in this very moment. How long will it take to be completed?
In other words, when is it OK to eventually withdraw BTCs from linked addresses?

I am curious if the snapshot includes unconfirmed coins.

So, as a test (not intentional), I see a wallet which has coins and unconfirmed coins.  Wonder how that will play.
