Any suggestions or how do I fully delete the application so I can start over?

You would want to delete all files associated with Byteball. Not quite sure about the location on macs, should be something like Applications/Byteball

Thanks for trying to help Odrak.  I guess that is my question, where does the client store all its files?

I did exactly what you suggest - deleted Byteball from applications.  However, after deleting and reinstalling it is still is trying to synch, not giving me the menu to choose between full and light client.

If it helps anyone, the session log shows "onGoingProcess Syncing true" poping up every few minutes, but the synch does not advance.

Try deleting the following folder:-

[your mac username]/Library/Application Support/byteball

The Library folder may be hidden so you may need to unhide hidden folders to see it.

Once deleted, open the application and you should be given the option to install a light wallet.

Hi Guys,

i need some help. I used the transition bot to link my bitcoin wallet. I did it via micropayment and creating a signed message. But the bot is always stating that my balance in the bitcoin wallet is 0 BTC! I use bitcoin core as a wallet. Maybe i used a wrong adress? How do i choose the right adress in bitcore client?

One think I am not understanding about the price...if 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes and the price is $110 now. There is no way you can do transaction with Byteball right if you have 100000 bytes? Only way to do it is through GYBT? It might be a dumb question but had to ask. Sorry guys!

TO / FROM the Wallet

If you are talking about trading on bittrex than the minimum trading order size is:  .00050000 BTC / Gbyte

So example :

At the Last Price you could buy or sell a minimum of 0.00531716 Gbyte @ 0.0938 BTC

@ruptan thanks for bringing up this questions because i just noticed something interesting about Trex,

Which i now have a questions for @tonych:

Why is Trex using 2 MB (0.002 GB) withdrawal fee, when transaction fees are 500-800 bytes (from the fees i've seen when sending GB sized amounts from my wallet).

Is that some kind of extra (hidden exchange fee) ?

Well, you can send 1 byte to someone, you will just pay the transaction fee which is on average 520 bytes.

But I had the whole time $10 on this address I did not moved them to another address. And on the 10th April I moved all my funds to the linked address and moved them again some days later. What should I see on the blockchain explorer?(sorry for this dumb question but I really dont know, I looked but I dont know what you mean) Its definitely my address in the transition page and I have hold all my funds on the whole distribution day.. anyway It was not that much so I will just change and verify a new address and hope it will work. Thanks again!

What you did seems okay. I wanted you to check the history of your linked address to verify if it really had the funds before the snapshot's block. If you don't mind send me your linked Bitcoin address, I really want to understand what happened Smiley.

Of course I will send you a PM Smiley thank you Smiley

Try deleting the following folder:-

[your mac username]/Library/Application Support/byteball

The Library folder may be hidden so you may need to unhide hidden folders to see it.

Once deleted, open the application and you should be given the option to install a light wallet.

Thank you!  That worked perfectly!  I look forward to the 10 May full moon drop!  Thanks again and go Byteball!

Does anybody knows the fallback strategy with respect to hub connection ?

If the hub to which my wallet is pointed to is not reachable for any reason does the wallet automatically switch by itself to another hub?

1 bitcoin per Byteball is an ideal price for the coin. Considering how much is being distributed, the coins could get into a bunch of people's clients or only one person will purchase them after the dump.

Dump to .085, enjoy your profit weak hands!

1 bitcoin per Byteball is an ideal price for the coin. Considering how much is being distributed, the coins could get into a bunch of people's clients or only one person will purchase them after the dump.

Sure dumps are good for distributions too, however slower liquidation of one's holdings are much preferred, some ppl react negatively to dumps thinking price will crash further even so it may only be one unloading their stash

Hi Guys,
i need some help.

Note: Your wallet has many different addresses. After each transaction the addresses will rotate (i.e. you did a micropayment).
See: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change
See also the explanation of kaicrypzen:

I have confirmed my byteball and bitcoin addresses they are on http://transition.byteball.org/ but it says my balance is zero when i have bitcoin in that address?

Also, remember that when you link by doing a micropayment, your funds are very likely to be transferred to a change address (which is under your control) and that you might have to send your funds back to your original linked address.

What does the block explorer say about your address? You surely have bitcoins in your wallet but not in the linked address (because they were transferred as change to another address in your wallet when you made the micropayment). You just need to send your funds to your linked address.

Thank you for the reply, I changed method and tryed again. I setup an exodus wallet on my laptop and sent the micro transaction from that wallet which got confirmed and shows on your explorer correctly but stills says my balance is zero

You want to link btc_addr1 to bb_addr1 doing a micropayment. When you send the micropayment m to bot_btc_addr, here is what happens:

btc_addr1 -> bot_btc_addr : m
btc_addr1 -> btc_addr2 : total_balance - m

btc_addr2 is what is called you change address, when you do a transaction, the remaining funds go to a new address in your wallet (btc_addr2 in that case). The consequence is:

btc_addr1 is linked.
btc_addr1 balance is 0.
btc_addr2 balance is total_balance - m (let's say it's your balance).

Your next action, is to send your balance to btc_addr1. (There is no need to know what btc_addr2 is.)

Normally, the bot tells you this (to send your funds to the linked address). The bot tells you it's 0 because it is 0 (you can check the balance of your address in a Bitcoin block explorer like blockchain.info to be sure that the bot doesn't lie Smiley).
