If you are small time holder of byteball, please don't worry about a 50 or 100 price drop in byteball. If you forsee this as a problem in the future - I would suggest not buying anymore and just continue holding. Look at what recently happened with veteran coins in the past two months, eth, etc, litecoin, dash, xrp, xem..

Trust me when I say that byteball is priced perfectly right now. Just enough to curb mass accumulation and not too much to ruin the price growth - for the most part price growth seems organic. This is where whales and everyone should want it. And it's only been on bittrex for a month. DON'T hate yourself 3 years from now because you sold GB's below 1000USD. Remember, for every seller there is always a buyer.

And cut the crap with back and forth about IOTA. I haven't been around to know the details on both.. but WHO CARES?!? They both will exist as dags or tangles alongside of each other covering a wide spectrum of use cases. And both having success will benefit both tremendously. Anyway, I don't care all that much, I'm just here to hold byteball and its use cases.

Why does Transition bot state my linked byteball addresses are different than my actual byteball wallet address?

Can someone post a step-by-step guide for claiming using Ledger Nano S?

i would be interested too Wink

There is a tutorial for signing a message using Ledger Nano S + Electrum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg17160291#msg17160291.

And in the previous page, there is a reference to someone who linked Bitcoins in their ledger Nano S without using Electrum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg18936900#msg18936900.

You may have the byteballs in different addresses

go into your wallet and hit the cogwheel settings (next to your main wallet) > advanced > wallet information = then look at bottom under balance by address.

You can send all your byteball to the address linked with the transition bot

So I'm chatting with the transition bot:

Me: <my Byteball address>
Bot: Got it, your Byteball address is......In this case, let me know your Bitcoin address first.
Me: <my Bitcoin address>

No response

I take it this is normal and the Transition bot will not be active until the distribution starts? Really, the bot should state something to that effect rather than not responding. UX....

there is no need to link to get bytes only but if you wanna black bytes the link is required

With you on this one. Anyone who's got a long-term interest in one of the truly unique alts which has been one of the better ones in terms of development, shouldn't worry about the price. I'm a modest holder, got some bytes without the necessary BTC. I'm definitely keeping this for a very long time.

Only a day left to get more free bytes from this round so this making me excited. I hope price will get increased because all big addresses are holding their coins and only few are available on sell side.

Actually that's the snapshot time.
The airdrop might be several hours after that, and could take some time to complete both bytes and blackbytes

I dont know if I am the only one facing this problem, but since days I am unable to download the latest 1.8.2 from https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases/download/v1.8.2/Byteball-win64.exe which seems to be stored on the amazon aws s3 servers.

It get stucked after a few MB downloading, first download rate is dropping till zero > then download is canceled.

I tried it from several devices using different browsers yet, is there any other mirror?

Hi there! I faced the exact same problem but only with the latest version. I was successful on perhaps the 4th or 5th attempt, but I can only surmise it's just the hosting servers that were probably accessed by all the other users upgrading wallets - I tried perhaps in the first hour after the post informing was released. So basically, just keep trying!

I've made a mirror of the 1.8.2 setup files (in case you still need it):

byteball-linux64.zip
Byteball-osx64.dmg
Byteball-win32.exe
Byteball-win64.exe
Source code (zip)
Source code (tar.gz)

Security reminder:
Don't click download links in quotes! Best practice is to download directly from the developer!
