50% of the population won't be able to see the development, anyway. heh.

his campaign is working well and creates fear for those who are into drug business and so forcing  them to laylow and hopefully stop else they'd be killed.
his opposition is trying to disrupt this war on drugs since the day duterte became president.  these opposition had been on power for years but never had done anything to solve this issue.

It seems the pigs killed a kid who wasn't just a disposable liability like the street urchins they normally liquidate in the name of nanny-state morality.

Duterte faces nationwide revolt over drugs war after killing of schoolboy sparks outrage
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/08/22/duterte-faces-nationwide-revolt-drugs-war-killing-schoolboy/

How many more need be killed to make .ph "drug free?"

99%?  All of them?
That's true, some innocent people are also dying, I don't know if that is still the plan of a president since President Duterte just promise to make our country a drug free. But killing people is not the solution. I think best solution for this, our senator’s needs to suggest that our country needs a rehabilitation center.

For the record there are already drug rehabilitation in our country.  The biggest one being in Nueva Ecija if I am not mistaken.  Also on some police station there were a small rehab and there are also in municipalities.  The church also done some rehabilitation and it was showed on tv.  The instruction is clear, surrender or die.  Those who died and killed refused to surrender.

I do support a drug free Philippines, killing of drug personalities are still on going. The impact of the policies against drugs since the President took office were immediately felt through out the nation.
Those that are saying that it is wrong is barking at the wrong tree. What is wrong is turning a blind eye to the problem for years and making the youth drug dependent.
Killings have been the way of life (due to drugs) here since time immemorial. It is just when the new govt is fixing things that foreign countries criticize it.

That is why it was called a drug war. There will be collateral damages, as mafias fight back, corrupt politicians sponsoring the killings and inept implementors (police).

Can the president of the Philippines can do it. Well I like what his doing in his campaign. It is very amazing program and very work program in the country. Many were discipline now because of him.

He can but in some point it seems out of justice they kill people without even having a proof and having not being able to defend themselves in a proper way.

It won't work. Look at the drug wars in Mexico and central America. A lot more people dealing drugs kill each other. It's a much more dangerous game over there. Has the possibility of getting murder stop it? No. there's a lot of money to be made.

I could see a militia being created in response to this war.

Its hard to clean a country that drugs is rampant. you can buy drugs like vegetables and meat in public market. drug cartels are afraid no one because high government officials before and high ranking authorities are involved. When Pres Duterte assumed office last year he started to clean but some users resist to be arrested thats why it will end in a bloody operations because drug users are armed. The drug war in Philippines is not perfect there are also collateral damage. but atleast he have sa strong courage to clean the country.

I cant say that Duterte administration can eradicate all of the drug syndicate that's currently active here in the Philippines But Ithink he can improve and make the drug related cases go down on the last couple of months.

For the longest time, no one has addressed the Philippines' issue and it is now that we are able understand how grave and widespread it is in the country. The governement is currectly facing it head on and I just wish that somehow it would eradicate it though it might be hard to do it in just 6 years.

6 years is a very long time, and even now the results are quite visible. The drug trade there seems to have reduced by a great deal and many of the drug dealers have moved out of the country. Hundreds of thousands of drug addicts have been admitted to various rehabilitation centers around the Philippines and many of them have successfully completed their rehabilitation.

I think, the president of the Philippines and its team is doing a great job in their campaign against illegal drugs. I can see in the news that there are many drug users and dealers that are getting killed, I think that is part of it although many complains about it but the results are showing.

A lot of people died too, even those who are innocent. My friend has just been shot at a footbridge near sandigan bayan. I know him a lot, he doesn't use illegal drugs, he is a well educated guy who has the will to help our neighbors to escape the fact that we are below poverty line. But in just a click of a gun, now he is dead, all those hope and hard work he has are all gone. Thanks to our new president and his campaign.

As we can see President Duterte is doing his best to get rid of these drugs, although we all know that there are still some hard headed people who still insist on doing it,but at least there's improvement and if we all united in this mission then Phil is drug free

I admire how the president actually became true to his word that he will elimate drug users here. I support the president's initiative to rid the country of drug users. So far, the alleged extra judicial killing among teenagers is simply a diversionary tactic to put down or create rumors against the president. I think those people funding the EJK wants the president to be ousted because of selfish ambitions. I am really hoping that the cleaning won't stop. Because in this way, we are giving a more decent future for the youth here.
