There is no NMC for PPS.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Inaba, with these recent long rounds can you say how the luck is overall for the pool history? Is it considered up  or down or would these make it about average?

Thanks for your time.

Well it started by swinging down from a rather high luck, around 60%. Now it's gone all the way down in the other direction, at around 45%.
It happens and I expect a lucky spree is soon.

Yeah, the bottom luck percentage is the overall luck.  Although I am not 100% confident that the math is right with that, since I've made some changes to the way blocks are handled since I wrote that and I think there may be some outlying cases that throw that off more than it should be.

Can you please do a luck calculation of the past 50 blocks?

The chart on the Block Stats page is the numbers for the last 49 blocks. The stat in the luck column at the bottom is the one Inaba spoke of being unsure of its accuracy.
https://eclipsemc.com/block_stats.php

As of the post it spans blocks 193763(1762) thru 194557(1811) and reports
Avg Luck: 44%
(50% is median)
Which rose 0.32% withe the last block found 17 minutes ago

Inaba I guess one of the variables would have to be the ever changing difficulty. So to count blocks from more than one difficulty period I assume the equation compensates for this? No need to reveal one of your many "Ancient Chinese Secrets"

I had to halve my hashrate to ECM because of the bad luck streak, it's cutting into my margin waaaaay too much, and btc value is rapidly losing out Sad, now doing 400Mhash here and my other 400Mhash at another pool doing 0% fee PPS.  I am voluntarily donating at both pools, and will return all my hashing here once luck begins to improve.

Personally, I would rather not mention other pools by name in this EMC thread out of respect to Inaba and his awesome pool.  Frankly, it's totally not his fault (nor anyone's) about this bad luck streak.

This is an excellent pool.  We're just hit with hard times at the moment.  I really hope luck improves soon!

If you're worried about variance, mine at multiple pools through a proxy. Or PM me and I can arrange variance protection for you (ie pay you when the pool has bad luck).

Perhaps it's on my end, but I have been trying everything I know, and it doesn't seem to help.

When I go to My Workers, and check the hashrates, they are considerably lower than what I am mining with, I have 2 miners, and they both show lower values than they should. Up until now, the hashrate estimation has been pretty much right. Any ideas?

edit: Even setting the estimate window to 60 mins, doesn't show the correct values. My 1.2gh miner is showing 800-900, and my 850mh miner is showing 600. Around 1.5GH/s in total, when I should be at 2GH/s approx. And I know the estimation is not precise, but it has never been so low, for so long.

Maybe there's something wrong with the pool. My currently shown hashrate is only 76% of my actual hashrate.
