6 x Sapphire RX 470 4GB - 210 H/s. And 450w from wall. Cards temp 60 and fans 20%. Awesome miner. Smiley

Are you doing anything special to get such low power from the wall with 6 rx470's?

Some statistics from me:

50 H/s on AMD Fury with cores unlocked to 60 (GPU #0: Fiji, 4096 MB available, 60 compute units)
and only little less... 44 H/s on 280X.

Questions for someone more knowledgable than myself.
1. One of my rigs has two R9 290's.  One has 4GB and the other 8GB.  They both get in the mid to high 40's H/s.  Does that make sense.

2. Does it make sense to mod these cards for zcash mining?  If so, what would you recommend in settings and mod software?

Yikes! R9 290 8GB - that's crazy rare.

Overclock both GPUs to 1100/1250 and you will get 50Sols

You can use Stilt bios to get a lower voltage and there are some memory tweaks if I recall.

Hi Guys,

I am running 2 stock R9 290s and cannot get more than an average of 35 hash per GPU.  Is there anything I can do to increase this?

Thanks.

Yeah, increase the clock speed while undervolting and decrease the memory clock, should get you some more hashes.

Awkward moment, when your 1070&1080 slower, than R7 370 Sad

Waiting for CUDA support. 2.5% fee? PFFF, I'll dig even with 20%, if speeds will raise ≥x3 times :'D

Not sure about the exact values but around 1050/1200 should be okay.

The clock speed and memory clock are done with the command line arguments right?

I understand the undervolting is done with a utility, do I need to do that to get more hashes or is it just for power saving?  I have free power so don't really care, only concerned with noise and heat.

Thanks.

Claymore

Not that i am complaining but i am starting to feel that our RX is so underworked. I am able to reduce my GPU to 1100 and Memory to 2000 with -100mv and yet i am still hashing at 41 - 45 H/s... I am one of those lives on the boarder of danger which stretch my rigs to the brink of destruction. Any chance of having a HELL VERSION that pushes the RX to the max?

GPU-Z
Power Ave : 55W
VDDC : 0.9
Fan Speed : 40% at 1400RPM
GPU Temp : 73C

where as when i was on ETH

Power Ave : 110
VDDC : 0.97
Fan Speed : 70% at 3500RPM
GPU Temp : 80C

BTW

My 470 is hashing higher than my 480 with ave 43 to 48 H/s.

I am staying in the tropics with no AC with an average temp of 33C and yet i can achieve this great TEMP is amazing.

adasab, you stated "I have a 6990. Use drivers 15.7

And mine ETH with it with his miner software not ZEC. ZEC will run at 2Sol/s per core so 4Sol/s.

With ETH you will get 13MH/s each so 26MH/s total. Almost the speed of RX480 & 390 just uses alot of power.

You can also undervolt them to like 1.0V to save on heat and power"

Thanks man. Is that with Claymores? Which version? Dual miner (ETH & Zcash)? And, where can I get it? Where to mine?

Appreciate your input...James
