The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Damn Semprons, should of got some FX instead during the Litecoin boom

Unlock it in the bios, get an Athlon dual core.
Raises temps by 10c+ and will slightly raise the GPUs temps above it, but well worth it.
I used old stock fx coolers on mine after I unlocked them.

My Reference 480 8GB cards with strap mod do 55-57s/s with -i 2

nice, how about watt on the wall? worthed??
I checked a rig today that is already connected to a wattmeter. The problem is that i have a wifi repeater and a switch on the same circuit.
System + 3 x 480 + repeater and switch pull 460w from the wall

System ~75w
Repeater ~20w ?
Switch: 20w ?

So it should be around 115w per gpu.
I dont want to mess around with the rigs right now to meassure more correctly.

My Reference 480 8GB cards with strap mod do 55-57s/s with -i 2

nice, how about watt on the wall? worthed??
I can check powerdraw tomorrow

Nice speed zilla, care to share the strap use for this? TIA
All that is done in the bios is copying the 1500 strap to 1625, 1750 and 2000 strap.

I have done that on all my RX cards:

Reference 480 8GB
Reference 470 4Gb

edit.
free image host
Slightly slower atm. I have my bats restart claymore once per hour

one of my 280x rig won't start mining with "-i 2", just 0 h/s and on and on .. "-i 0" and "-i 1" works

found the culprit, the 280x rig that won't do "-i 2"

the cpu utilization is at 70% already at -i 1

funny, the older cpu in other rigs, xeon x3220 (same as q6600) can do "-i 2" at ~ 50% cpu utilization.

this 2.1 version does takes its toll in cpu's

Damn Semprons, should of got some FX instead during the Litecoin boom

you should find cheap and second hand AMD cpu's that are at least better than my core 2 quads.

Anyone getting crazy 20% rejections on some of their rigs?

Its mostly on my Celerons but CPU usage is only 50% still. i3 seems fine

Yes. On my seven 290x rig with Celeron 1840 I get lots of rejects with -i 2.

I could only test -i 2 with one card anyway. So I tested -i 0,0,0,0,0,2,0

Using -i 0 across all the cards for now as -i 1 also gave me a handful of rejects.

Shame though, the 290x with -i 2 was peaking as high as 68 sol/s Sad

Never had virus warnings like i get with this miner?

I used old stock fx coolers on mine after I unlocked them.

Only works on SOME Sempron 145s, some the second core is in fact broken and disabled entirely in the chip.

 Worth trying though.

There's plenty of cheap upgrade options for that socket.

What killed the "value" of ZCash is that it's got pretty much ZERO adoption in place by the folks that matter - the REAL market - places like Newegg and such that take Bitcoin.
ZCash, like almost all other altcoins, won't be worth SQUAT in the long run if it never gets adopted as a worthwhile coin OUTSIDE the cryptocoin mining industry itself.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

why devfee share more ? Embarrassed

Added to FAQ on first page:

Q: Why do I see more shares for devfee than in my mining for the same time?
A: Most pools support variable diff, they change "target share" after some time after connection. For example, you have very powerful rig, after connection you will send shares very often. It takes some CPU time to check your shares so after some time pool will send higher share target and miner will send less shares (but they will have more value). When pool updates share target you will see "Pool sets new share target" line in the miner. This way pool can adjust the number of shares that miner sends and balance its load.
So check the log or console text to see current target for main mining thread and for devfee thread. For example:
DevFee: Pool sets new share target: 0x0083126e (diff: 500H) - this is for devfee mining connection
Pool sets new share target: 0x0024fa4f (diff: 1772H) - this is for main mining connection
As you can see, target share for main mining is higher in about 3.5 times, so for main mining miner sends in 3 times less shares (but they have 3x more value) than for devfee mining.

any news about Nvidia support?

I will not release NVidia support. Neither Linux update. Please use mrb's miner for that OS and hardware.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.
