Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Wow, 2000 pages.  Impressive.

I own two Jupiters (no longer using) and a Neptune.  (Still waiting on my "bonus miner".)  I still power up one of the Jupiters every other month or so for a few hours to see if it still hashes.

KnC's best feature: they are so quiet and don't generate that much heat.  Their worst feature: The shipping and handling guys at KnC don't know how to securely ship equipment (in the Jupiter and Super Jupiter era--they got better with the Neptune).

I've since moved on to only purchasing Spondoolies equipment: Very powerful, and a small footprint.  But they are so loud and generate so much heat.  (2x SP10, 2x SP30, 1x SP35).

I really wish KnC would have stayed legit.  They were the first mining company that actually delivered equipment to me.  They have fallen from grace.

The sad thing is, I've read about 2000 pages of this thread Sad  Cry

Anyway, let's hope the "stern and harsh" Sweden laws catch up with kfc this year. So far, they have let them away with murder.

Speaking of murder, has anyone heard from bitconorama since kfc "terminated" him?

He often expressed his desire to convince knc to offer a skrypt product.
He must be in tall cotton now, with his titans...

KnC Titan users:

We suggest you to use #xnsub AND #skipcbcheck parameters to get stable mining on NiceHash or WestHash, example:

stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com/#xnsub#skipcbcheck

With those settings you'll be able to get a stable 350 Mh/s average speed with fw 1.95 overclocking at 325MHs.

btw: average NiceHash/WestHash Scrypt profitability is aprox. 25% more then direct Litecoin mining.

ok so..... that is it?.....no other tweaks to bfgminer or some such on the Titan just the above additions to the straum+tcp command line above
and you are good to go?

(just making sure I don't have to do some kinda out of box mods that seem simple to everyone else but me)

edit:

just read the page on extranonce subscription check

https://www.westhash.com/?p=asic

...no frigging idea how to do rebuilds of bfgminer (not sure that even works says cgminer)
for Titan

so does bfgminer have this extranonce patch already if so i'll try the above ..if not it is unlikely i will muck with it for fear of bricking titan

thanks again

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

got the following reply via PM for those interested....looks like it is pretty straight forward here is the reply (don't think they will mind)

Sure, all this is already in the official BFGMiner and already included in the latest firmware. Simply use stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com/#xnsub#skipcbcheck as pool URL and you'll be fine (Not sure how you set port - can you send us a print-screen of Titan's web interface where you set-up pools and ports?)

i sent them copies of my adv pages on my imgur site (my shrine to jupiter and titan see below) so again thanks for the info looks pretty straight forward

adv page(s) below in case the pm did not work

http://lostgonzo.imgur.com/

(er overkill on the hobby as you can see from the above pics)

anyway have not tried this on my Titan yet ..up to my elbows in a basement fix....but hope this helps someone on here as well as a clarification

If BTC was still $1000, people would have continually pay for preorders, not so right now.

Anybody here from Sweden? can you post Swedish average electricity price (or high-low), does not matter whether in $, euro or SEK.
It is pretty easy to find these numbers for US, but the only site I was able to find prices for Sweden, they look quite low, in fact much lower than europe's average.
Is that so?

We discussed electricity prices before. The lowest published rates are roughly 8 eurocents per KWH, so 10 cents USD, which isn't great.

However, the consensus seemed to be that KNC (along with Facebook and other large data centers) are probably getting a much cheaper price. (This is typical in most jurisdictions. If you employ people you can get breaks on the rates.)

So below 8 eurocents, above free. Haha. My guess would be closer to 8 euro cents, not less than 5. But that's a hardcore guess.

Let's link two ideas here:

1. In this article, Sam tells everyone he is a farmer at heart
https://ybitcoin.com/profile/1b5de8eed5444825/sam-cole-ceo-and-founder-knc-miner

2. Bitconorama has gone missing. I bet Sam misses him

because you know what they say:

I  think your wrong there, about a year ago i saw info about geothermal energy from iceland being cabled over between the skandinavian countries
That would mean large contractors pulling alot of power like them pay way less than the average joe.
Even in my extreme expenssive energy country the large companies pay scraps prices, they have to buy in the lots of Megawatts though to get those prices
But its not near 4 cents a Kw thats what i know for sure.
Ofcourse even if its not much on paper the actual amounts they pay still is huge Wink, i saw my old companies power bills often only for our servers .... huge amounts we all want once in your live on our bank accounts.
But thats payed monthly for those companies

About bitcoindrama i think he got enough inside information to disappear from the mining scene for ever

Love to see proof of your undersea cables from Iceland.

Mainly because they don't exist. Nice pipe dream though. There are internet cables, but not electrical. Note even close.

Undersea electrical cables are extremely complicated and leak very badly. (ie. electricity escapes.) The one from Newfoundland to Cape Breton is speculated to be uneconomic, but we'll know better in 2017 when it is online.

And if you can show me 4 cent USD power in Western Europe, I'll eat my hat and yours.
