who cares about the queue, there is no queue.

Why did the site pretend there was a pre-ordering system then?
What information do you have that we don't have, when you say "there is no queue"?

I highly think that the queue will be first paid first served. Not some arbitrary email.

The queue system is still on for the current version ..that is what I am pretty sure. But for earlier version .. since they are not going to produce them what is the purpose of having the queue?

When I ordered, I did not order for miner model ABC or XYZ, nor did I order for miner with hashrate XXX, I just did a pre-order for their FIRST miner, whatever it was (trying to quote them more or less out of memory). It was about the time when this topic was at page 3...

With the same preorder button as currently on the site (/sendrequestonproduct.aspx?productid=xxx), don't know about the product id though, because it's mot mentioned in the confirmation e-mail

Does anyone know if they intend to honor positions in the pre-order "queues" they put in place from the beginning?
Thinking of these e-mails...

Quote
Order ID: 3xx
The desired goods: KNC Bitcoin miner numbers 1-500
Quantity: 4
Name of the customer: xxx xxx
Email: xxx@xxx.com
Phone: xxxxxxxx
Comments: ...

We definitely need more competition between ASIC manufacturer, so KnCMiner can only do good if they are a serious business with the required competences IMO.

Yes, I spoke with Sam and he told me they are definitely respecting the queue numbers. I have a super early preorder (order ID way below 100), and he told me that I would receive the units in that preorder in September. Additional units should be delivered in October.

Does Anyone heard about the riot in Stockholm , Sweden? hope situation is OK to be in Stockholm for the demo? Wink

The riots are mainly in Husby, a suburb. It's actually pretty close to Sollentuna, but that's not where the open day will be, is it?

If you read correctly he was saying about the 2 earlier models pre order with number 1-500 and this 2 earlier models  was subsequently change to Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Provided you have pre order early for Mars, Jupiter or Saturn otherwise how to
be in the earlier queue? Unless you are referring to Mars, Jupiter and Saturn?

That is what I am referring to indeed.
I would like to use my pre-order (that was changed to what you say) to buy a Mars model.

I made a preorder at the beginning of April, I really do not remember what units were they selling at that moment, but I know that now I want the 350GHs thing (which I think was not available at the beginning of April).

Anyhow, the preorder states:

Quote
KNC Bitcoin miner numbers 1-500

Sam told me that queue number would be respected, and I would receive the units of Jupiter I preorder in the first batch (September) - the rest of units (let's say I want to buy 5, and I only stated "1" unit in the preorder) will be received in October.

I'm surte you will be able to buy whatever you want with your preorder. You just booked a place in the queue, that's it, regardless of the unit (or I see it that way).

From Kncminer website:

Quote
Previously registered customers

The customers who have previously registered interest in our products will be given the opportunity to complete their orders for either Mars or Jupiter. The preregistered customers will keep their queue position for the new products.
More info will follow in next few days.

I am guessing they wouldn't be a problem with long queue for the Mars Model, most of us are really
targeting for the bigger models, if it is less than 100 sets order of this Mars model, everyone should get theirs about the same
time, but for the September bigger models it may be different. You may not take delivery immediately because orders
needs to be collected and send for batch productions, same thing like the avalon chips, collected in 200k batch
before sending for production. The best is to get hold of Sam . Smiley

I read that the riots have reached Kista, where most of the semiconductor companies have their local branch offices.

RT seems to offer some decent coverage, BBC kindly offers a picture and a couple of paragraphs;

http://rt.com/news/sweden-riots-multiculturalism-not-working-598/

Haven't a clue how/if that affects them. It's a shame to see tbh as the last time I was in Sweden it was the archetype of a tolerant society. Still the media will portray an agenda they want to create...perhaps a local can divulge more?

I'm guessing KNC have gone a little quiet until they have a fresh date and something worth saying that they are in control of themselves. Which I can respect to an extent, no one wants false promises.

That said we need assurance that September is a feasible and definite deadline and won't be subject to delays.

Perhaps weekly update is something else that can be requested at the meet-up? I know over promising is nothing anyone wants, but w.r.t. public relations being the chink in the armour of their competitors, knowing to expect regular updates at a set time, say Friday afternoon, or a Monday morning, even if trivial would quell speculation, and retain a more positive vibe to this thread, and project. It would probably ease the strain on their email accounts as well! Wink

Make my day! Say thanks if you found me helpful Smiley BTC Address --->

In short, this is about social inequality and not about multiculturalism. More relevant though is that this should not (95% certainty, my opinion) in any way affect KNC.

Well this sucks I've been keeping an eye on KNC waiting to order early to get a good place in line. Now I come to find out that preorder has been on the whole time? All I had to do was fill out that form and I missed an early place in line as I didn't think It was getting in line... Really bummed now.

How are they making a line without taking money?
