Indeed it would be nice to get some details. I honor the way KNC is handling things so far but there news policy could need some optimizing.

It needs just a minute from a secretary and everyone would be pleased.

Have the chips arrived?

If not, when are they supposed to arrive and wasnt they meant to arrive earlier this week?

I have no problems with delays, cause i see them doing everything they can to supply those miners as early as possible, so thats OK with me.

But i would like to stay informed daily in this very critical phase that we are right now. Like i said, one minute work for some office worker and we all know whats going on.

motion to move all KNC forum members to the KNC Forum for further speculation and discussion.

... but I am totally concerned about my 1.5 coin which i stand to lose from bitbet if they fail on the whole overdeliver "on time".

Don't you worry about your 1.5BTC good Sir, for two reasons:
1) They are going too a good hands (mine, i have to admit, among the others)
2) Your 1.5BTC is the least of your worries since any "in two weeks™" delay slashes your ROI for sizable percentage. As a matter of fact 2016 blocks between 30+% difficulty rise tend to come in 10 instead of 14 days lately, so "two weeks" come quicker than imagined.

I am surprised KNCminer haven't shown us a working prototype by now. It's almost the end of September and they would need a few days to assemble all the units promised for day 1 shipments.

no chips in hand = no final prototypes.  However that may not be the same answer within the next 2-4 days. (fingers crossed)
That's what I mean, I am surprised that they don't have the chips in hand already, with so few days of September left.

And have it turn out to be a lie?

If it is just their guess, then they already told you: everything is on track.

If it is to be the day they actually do arrive, then until that day arrives they don't know.

No wonder Josh makes shit up, assholes like you insist on some wild ass guess then bring blame when suppliers / shippers / etc make the guess inaccurate? Jerk.

They made it clear that the stuff is as far as they knew all going to arrive in time.

So until they know otherwise harrassing them is just a waste of space and time.

If something ends up running late enough to derail their plans maybe they will tell us so once it happens.

In the meantime we already have been informed what is going on: everything was on track last we heard.

Well TerraHash is officially out of the business, so that's one less competition to add to the difficulty.

on a serious note, do we have anymore details on that teaser video?

The teaser video does contain a mysterious detail.

It could be trivial. (<<<--- just a small change in routing)

It could be non-trivial.

Plenty for both camps to speculate on. (Why???)

YMMV

Soon!

I bet the guys at KNC know exactly whats going on. And the chips are probably just fine. Why not sit back and laugh for a minute at all the people freaking out since they have been busting ass to make things happen and are preparing units to ship. KNC probably has their own bets on who's head is going to explode first waiting for their miner. Companies like ORSoC don't sit around wondering what is happening with their products. Just because Josh Zerlin fed people bullshit for almost a year and still has suckers believing in him doesn't mean everyone will.  Wait 3 days.. then bitch.  Everyone in the world knows 1.) who they are *and* 2.) where they are located. Can anyone name 1 thing they have been dishonest about? That's what I thought.  STFU  and wait.

It's funny how in the world of ASIC pre-orders "will ship in XX month" == "will ship on the very last day of XX month at best"

The first browser was Mosaic I think :p. Then Netscape, then Infernal Exploder and then FailFox. Safari was still in Steve's ovary. (wow that rhymed!)

I remember I downloaded the Mosaic source code using ftp from CERN then compiled it on my SUN workstation. That was at least long before Netscape or any other browser existed.

Welcome to the world class thinkers, "I can get something for nothing" crowd.  Roll Eyes

I thought this was a forum for intelligent people???

I guess not.

I was one of those less intelligent, until last month when I saw difficulty rising too fast for a solid return, and realized I was living in "dreamland", thinking I would get back my initial investment in some decent amount of time. I got my refund. Thank you KCminer and Sam.

I will not be one of those "satisfied and returning customers". Thank you, but I gained a leap or two of intelligence and flew the coop.
I bought in in October sales, so people who bought in in September sales, are even more fucked than I was potentially. Since they never got their return in the correct time for quantitative returns. And to consider hosting, and the additional costs associated, based in their farms, that is even more depressing looking at potential returns.

Too bad people are so fucking stupid. Including myself, but at least I saved myself and got it all back. Almost $20k, lost down the drain forever.
But I wised up.

 Cool

Why does Bitrebel have 65+ Ignores?
Because Bitrebel says things that some people do not want YOU to hear.
