Yeah you are correct. This is putting a bad reputation of Bitcoin to the public. These are all disgraceful activities, but unfortunately we cannot do much about it. Everyone has access to Bitcoin, whether it be for a good or bad use.

As many say "BITCOIN is FREEDOM" and the reason many wants to use bitcoin is to get away from banks and governments eyes therefore, many uses it for whatever they want to use it, regardless of it being used in bad or good. We can't change that thing, it is part of the growth, there are no rules in using bitcoin and there are no government law is governing the use of it, therefore it can be used in any way we want it.

It could probably damage the reputation of bitcoin but it won't be that big, just like how fiat is being damaged by its everyday dealings.

The part where you state that we can use bitcoin for whatever we want is not completely true, if buying a particular drug is illegal in a country then it does not matter if you used fiat, bitcoin, altcoins, gold or something else, it is still illegal.

Still you can use it, be it legal or illegal, buying illegal drugs with bitcoin is very much possible. There is no governing body that  regulates bitcoin and non in the government can prevent you to do what you want with it, in case that they caught you in buying drugs, your problem will be buying illegal drugs and not using bitcoin in buying illegal drugs.

True, bitcoin is just a currency and it depends on the owner on how he will use his bitcoin. If he wants to use it in illegal activities then he has to face the risk, it can be use for good or evil purposes but in the end we are all gonna be benefited due to the increase of demand. I think however the biggest reason people prefer bitcoin is that they simply don't believe in fiat and banks, but instead think bitcoin is the currency of the future.

the ease of transferring money from one point to another and its secured transactions..you can do this at home or anywhere which has internet connections unlike fiat money you cannot send it online unless you have a bank account., but sometimes bank account transactions needs longer time to process for example holidays or something, bitcoins is more easy to use.

Mostly people use bitcoin because those thing that you texted. Bitcoin network protect the user from scam such as chargeback and unwanted charge, also bitcoin is can not be counterfeited. Some people prefer bitcoin over fiat because bitcoin is better than fiat.

The number of transactions being made in Paypal in a day proves that a lot of people (buyer or seller) prefer using Paypal. In Paypal, you can simply connect your ATM card and then that's it. You can start paying for anything you want to buy on Amazon, eBay, etc. It's intuitive/user-friendly/noob-friendly so the majority of people like it. Thus, there are more buyers and sellers that use Paypal.

Since there are more sellers that accept Paypal, then that acts as one huge force to make someone who wants to buy something online use Paypal.

And since a lot of buyers are in Paypal, newbie sellers would prefer using Paypal too (regardless of its disadvantages). What they need is audience. All these chargebacks will be battled by them along the way but it shouldn't bother them in the start. It's not on their mind when they were signing up.

When it comes to bitcoins: It's decentralized, fast, and low-cost when it comes to transactions. But all these things do not bother a normal consumer. When they see that they're going to pay, like, a dollar or two for the transaction fee in Paypal, they wouldn't actually mind it. People don't care about these things that much, okay? People like to spend a lot of money when they're shopping most especially when they're buying online because people want to act as if they're rich (even if some aren't) so transaction fees wouldn't bother them.

The only people that sell stuffs that will prefer using bitcoins are the ones that sell bitcoin-related stuffs (i.e. physical bitcoins, bitcoin collectibles, etc) since their buyers would prefer buying using their bitcoins (since they have it).

Bitcoin is an additional source of income as well as an investment option for me. I am sure there are many people with the same views. Although it is used in Porn and gambling too, so what ?  Dollars and Euro are also used there. So why only blame Bitcoin ?

How is bitcoin an additional source of income for you? are you talking about signature campaign? for me that doesn't qualify as income, it's just a tiny extra, and if it was not for the signature campaign, I wouldn't be making any bitcoins at all, other than directly buying it which sucks, it feels better when you get paid.

Currencies are just a means to an end if you buy something with bitcoin that at the end will cause you to have problems with the law in your country, then it means that despite the fact there are no rules in bitcoin that disallow you of carrying such transactions, you are still subject to other laws and that means you are not as free as you might have thought.

Rather than those quoted reason, now most people were using bitcoin as a form of investment. No other investment grows and gains profit similar to other digital currencies or fiat. And it also serves as highly anonymous, which helps avoid taxation problems. These days use of bitcoin into illegal needs have decreased a lot.

Its because bitcoin is anonymous .So it makes really easy for a person to hide his black money.Government wont be able to find anyone's money.So person using bitcoin will escape from taxes. Again for transfering money from one part of the world to another , all systems including banks and paypal require a large amount of processing fee ,but bitcoins requires only less amount that too no one can trace your transfer. So definitely people prefer bitcoins over fiat for all these things.

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

There is no way this set of people can be removed from using btc. They are human beings and citizens as well in which case, they also need money for their businesses so if an avenue is created for them to make that happen, I dont think they will be less joyous. I don't think in the future , for which some bitcoiner are waiting , will result into opportunity because day by day gambling things increasing speedly without control so here it may be possible that  more country will ban the bitcoin or give some strict rules for bitcoin transactions .
I am heartily  worried what will happen when my country's government will take any bad action against bitcoin .

yes that is right to say that those people who know about the importance of bitcon and they use online services for buying and selling purpose then these people are giving preference to bitcoin, but i think in future all the people who have access to internet will start using bitcoin as currency and specially for online shopping.
