Ah, thanks for the info on stats.

And finding info on the PF is one of the steps to take in understanding the concepts.  I've been mining for a while without knowing this info, but now I want to know more - learn to do better.  In order to tinker and fiddle, I wanted to understand how to set those PFs.  Now I do, and I want to share that info.

The problem is it seems a few do know and have info (like this) in this thread somewhere.  Then it gets burried.  Search may or may not unearth it, depending on the search terms you use.  Since the pool owner has a nice area where advanced info is posted on his website, I'd say please include info on the PF.  I'd even say it makes a good subsection of the Multi-Algo switching area, where you already have the bench and stats info (because this is what you need to determine your PF anyways).

I understand I was in your shoes not that long ago.  The response I got from crackfoo is he doesn't do Multi-algo so he didn't really have much information to offer to me.  I've since figured it out through various posts in this thread and just playing with the settings.

For example if you include decred in your password string it will not allow you to do a custom fixed difficulty with the d=XXX option.  Crackfoo said he's tried to get it fixed a couple of times, but it is still a problem.

Also it can be really difficult to know if the multi-algo process is actually working the way that you intend.  Part of the issue is that many coins take multiple days to mature and confirm that your returns will likely look low for the first few days at least.  It should balance out in time, but I would not look to the first 3 days for averages of your earnings unless you avoid the algorithms with long maturing coins.  Netko on Nist5 seems to be the worst offender in delayed payouts.

Thanks guy, looks like a good start to add to the multi algo page. I'll work on that next week when I get back.

Little concerned... the api earnings are not matching up to my earnings today... looks like today will be one of the lowest payed days in a while....

you may want to add more algos so you have more options.. as blake2s has tanked in price last 48hours as it got added to "nicehash"

hi crackfoo is hmq1725 algud at your end reporting very low hash rate on pool..

Regards
Nemo

still having problems with hmq1725 crackfoo

I restarted it a couple hours ago... don't really see much on poolside error wise...

equihash i find doesnt perform that well so i have it disabled myself.. (although since zen got added its been doing pretty well could be worth leaving enabled)

skein i also have disabled

blake2s has tanked in price last 48hours as it got added to "nicehash"

i run -Algorithm hmq1725,groestl,timetravel,sib,bitcore,x17,blakecoin,Nist5,MyriadGroestl,Lyra2RE2,neoscrypt,blake2s

I need to sit down and take the time to rewrite my batch file... i recently learned how to tune the cards via the batch file so it switches core and mem settings when it starts a new algo... atleast on the pascal cards....not figured it out on any other cards yet

or you could just run of my batch's already done just choose the algos you want..

and use software to OC and UV  (EVGA - Software - Precision XOC)

I know what your miner does... what im talking about is as the pool switches the algo, the new algo starts up and changes the OC and UV settings i have preprogrammed in the batch file to that specific algo... right now i only have it working on skein, blake2s, and equihash... basically it allows me to run the memory intensive algo's with +400ish on memory on them, then when it switches to skein it drops down the memory by 1000 and rasies the core by +317 on the GPU's on the rig i have been testing it on...

Hey

Does anyone mine alt coins there? and not do the btc exchange?

If so...do you get paid out ur available mined balance in full all the time?

It doesnt seem to do that for me...especially with mining DP.

I only get portions of the available balance at time of payment. The rest sits there, hopefully to be paid out the next pay period.

Coins that are often short or with long confirmation periods are often paid only in part. The pool is currently 4900 short for DP, which is a lot for a coin with a block size of 27, even if it is not difficult to mine. I might switch payout address or go to a back up pool until the pool catches up some.

OH YUP that makes much more sense now.

I remember reading that at some point on the zpool site..but too noob to absorb exactly what it meant back then..

Got it now.  THANK U!!

Wow, you did exactly what I have been trying to self teach myself for days lol.....I did it slightly different than the way you did it, but I like how clean yours is so ima transfer my stuff over to your layout.....I managed to get it dialed in on 5 different algos lastnight.....I'm having issues with it exiting z miner for equihash...it sometimes fails to close it before starting the next algo on ccminer ... have this issue?

hmq1725 Is reporting low hash rates again.  It's actually affecting the pay %.

It was fine after the first time we reported it, but it's happening again now. Sad

Put something in my tip jar if I made your day. Smiley

I'm mining at 15.5 Mh/s but it's reporting 68 kh/s.

It's not just a reporting/cosmetic issue because the payouts reflect the performance.  I was getting larger payments for each Espers block found but now the payouts are as small as the reported hash rate (same ratio).
