Yeah, but I only have one GTX 1070 for testing purposes. So I should run two instances of excavator using the same card?

Edit:

I added the following to the start_equihash+restart_script.bat in excavator directory:

excavator.exe -a equihash -s equihash.%LOCATION%.nicehash.com:3357 -u %BTCADDR%.%WORKER%:x -d %DEBUG_MODE% -cd 0 0

Is -cd 0 0 the way to add workers? I still get the same 320+ H/s value.

No, it is not. Check github page and read manuals, it is not so easy.

If you are looking for an easy way, just use NiceHash Miner.

What puzzles me is why do we need to specifically set two 'workers' to maximize the performance for the GTX 1070? I don't get the logic behind it. I tested the excavator with my GTX 750Ti and didn't need to set anything to get the correct Sol/s as stated on the NiceHash website.  I expected the same for the 1070.

It could be done auto, but then you loose ability to do low intensity mining.

Equihash is a bit different than other algos.

So the only thing I need to do is tweak the ini settings of the excavator to get the Sol/s as stated on NiceHash website? Or do I also need to tweak my GTX 1070's clock speeds/mem speeds/voltage to get the 435 Sol/s?

That depends of what kind of card you have. Some have higher clocks by default. And some have better coolers and with lower temp you can get more hash. Also some have higher TDP, which again gives you more hash.

But it is easy to adjust these parameters without using any 3rd party tool.

All I want to know is if I can reach 435 Sols/s using GTX 1070 stock values - without having to tweak core/mem clocks and temps.

i can't reach it, my gpu at default when i start the miner do only 300 sol, something is wrong here, how cna i increase the hashrate?

yeah I need a line for equihash on supernova aswell. using it trough awesome miner, don't know what to write in to the command line :/ <<n00b alert>>

Is awesome miner using latest excavator version?

1.1.4a its using this version dunno is it latest. What about the line guys []

Ah okay. v1.1.4a doesn't have special EULA, but 1.2+ does and it cannot be bundled with any other miner/package without our permission.
It's correct that it's Excavator 1.1.4 that can be automatically downloaded from Awesome Miner today. Thanks for pointing out the EULA changes because I might have missed them otherwise.

Awesome Miner doesn't bundle any mining software, but can do automatic download on demand. So I assume this is the point we need to discuss for the future versions?

where i can download the new version? i can't find it anywhere, and does it come with the same json compilation or like the old 1.13 with more tradiniotal command line?

Morning.

Just started mining yesterday. Super excited Smiley

Started with EQM which is cool but I think I'd like to just get paid in ZEC.

Pointed at zecmine.pro and seems to be working but I wonder if anyone can clarify and comfort me that I'm getting full efficiency out of this.

I'm running two 1080ti cards BTX.

On the log it only shows one device:
[08:09:12][0x000004e4][info] net | Share #82 accepted
[08:09:16][0x000008d8][info] net | Share #83 accepted
[08:09:18][0x000004e4][info] core | Device #0-0 speed: 292.836667 H/s
[08:09:18][0x000004e4][info] core | Device #0-1 speed: 291.620000 H/s
[08:09:18][0x000004e4][info] core | Algorithm 'equihash' total speed: 1.225017 kH/s
[08:09:20][0x000008d8][info] net | Share #84 accepted
[08:09:21][0x000004e4][info] net | Share #85 accepted
[08:09:21][0x000008d8][info] net | Share #86 accepted
[08:09:27][0x000004e4][info] algo-equihash | New job '446626875279046', diff=481.882

Although the "total speed" is essentially the total of all four workers (two per GPU).

Also on the mining site it only shows one worker but hashrate of 1.25 KS/s.

So I guess just trying to wrap my brain around a worker count.

From the above does it look like I'm using my two GPUs at full potential? If so, great. If not I'd love some tips on how to tweak them.

Thanks.

EDIT: realized that pool had not found a block in 14 days so I switched to nanopool. Still only seeing device "0" but getting around 1.2 KH/s.

is it possible to set fan speed through "device.set"? If yes, is it in percentage? How would it look in json such a line?
It would be great to not have to use the afterburner for fanspeeds.
Or is there another alternative for fan speeds?

I am currently working on it along with Ethash. No worries!

Yes, currently manual for this is being created, but drafted version is here: https://github.com/nicehash/excavator/blob/master/excavator-man-API.txt

It works fine for NVIDIA, regarding AMD, please ask zawawa.

hi everyone.

Got en error with excavator. i got a few cards, but Only this card 1070 Gygabyte gives this error. it is new. I wonder it is warranty, but not sure how to prove it.
if you know what to do please let me know please. the error shows up everytime i run the excavator and it does not let me do benchmark in nicehash.

the error as follows: Cude ........ 2276 , 2191

I had a similar error with 1070 on another miner. Happens the card did not support memory overclocking.

Please see my reply to your PM. Did you try to overclock?
I ruled out that possibility because GPU-Z showed stock clocks.

Any eta on ethash?

Hard to say as I am quite ambitious with Ethash. We got a permission from Genoil to use his kernel, and it's already running faster by 15% after a few optimizations on RX 470. We will see.

You mean faster than genoil , not claymore right? Smiley
