Technically, structurally, all other things totally aside, this is my choice in a round design. 1. Compact, quickly recognizable, F engulfing C = (ownership, compartment, purse, wallet, secure, held, vault, hidden, strong) 2. Works, (structurally mind you), as a desktop icon, program icon, browser tab icon, taskbar icon ... because the structure lends itself to reduction in size and resolution. Functionality and flexibility. 3. Letter "C" inside the "F", again, has compact logo-like characteristics, scans for instant recognition. The "C inside the F" is two letters, and it is not, it is a "thing", a brand, an icon, an image unto itself. 4. It has a machine quality, component quality, things "fit" together, it has balance and strength and complexity, while having a quality where everything known about feathercoin can be instantly resolved and easily attached to the symbol. It's got an "elemental" quality, like AU, or AG.

Reduced to 200x200 pixels from the working size at 800x800 pixels, it's complex, and again, just a concept design, it could certainly be simplified and recreated in vector based image software to prep it for reduction for a logo's many demanding uses, I just had that whole "Dream Catcher" kind of thing hit me when looking for feathers, so I decided to make sum art stuff. Litecoin, wow, really popping hard tonight, huge gains today, feathercoin, sneaking up fast.

This is the one I prefer, until now. I do like the feather symbol. The "F" is not so cool on a coin.

Litecoin uses silver. This represents the copper/bronze ideals of FC.

You will be hard to distinguish from the established BTC and LTC logos. The color makes a difference and even a small logo will be recognizable as Feathercoins.

Hi again all. I'm not giving up the fight just yet. Based on a lot of positive feedback on my bronze/copper coin design, I've worked around that and finalised (or finalized if you're West of here) my designs. I now have a total of 11 final entries that I am happy with. I have included the silver ones as Bush seemed to like them, but I actually totally agree with those that say Feathercoin should be a copper colour. Wow! They all look awesome! My favourites are No. 9 and No. 2 No. 9 because it has the feather and some circuitry in the background. No. 2 because it's kinda retro-futuristic (plus reminds me of WingCommander)

The winner is nprussell with this entry. This one works especially well at a lower resolution because of the stark border and I like the feather. Every other coin goes with a letter so lets break the mould. Thanks to all those that entered. I have sent a small bounty to everyone who submitted an entry. Feathercoin.com needs a rework, currently it doesn't look professional, both text and design. At least the down arrow should be aligned left, not center. Look at litecoin.org, terracoin.org or novacoin.org design for comparison. Maybe you need to create another design contest for feathercoin's main website ?

Agreewith above. Next STEP to fix the website. ALSO excelent Logo , real COINS have images NOT Letters! Altough i like the logo I think this solid metalic finish is much better, it is much more like a real coin. Cant you combine the semiconductor watermark mith this metallic tecture? Attentions. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE COIN LOOKS of HIGH CraftManship: Slightly Reflective Mettallic Collor is better: like platinum or shined silver, not like Dull Silver (or of course bronge). Dont possition the coins value low, let the market decide.
