Seriously though, has bakkt done anything yet? Yes, a lot of vaporware/announcements/etc. Brief recap: Bakkt trading one-day physical futures would open the floodgates to institutional money to Bitcoin. It would be definitely a breakthrough for a variety of technical reasons, but they are holding it back. I have the feeling they are technically ready (no reason to doubt it), but the G agencies are pressing on "moral suasion" to restrain from initiating acrivity. This is only my gut feeling, no proofs. |
