To be fair, gold doesn't either. But gold parity was abandoned by the western world after Nixon.

- iPhone supply shortages will affect revenues worldwide. I think we can all agree that this is the so far biggest tragedy in this whole sordid mess. - 13 large poulty farms in Yulin have killed 6.3m baby chickens. How do you even kill millions of chickens? Wring their neck one by one? Some kind of industrial mass-chicken-killing machine? Do they gas them? The chicken holocaust! - Three armed robbers stole over 600 rolls of toilet paper from a delivery man in Hong Kong. Hong Kong residents have been panic buying toilet paper during Coronavirus outbreak, causing a supply shortage in supermarkets. I hear the chinese are giving toilet paper as gifts to people they really really like now. Such an everyday thing that people never think about, yet so very vital. Thanks for doing these updates.

The only people who seem to be dying from the Corona virus are the weak and barely alive, anyway. Two Germans were tested positive for Corona at the start of the month, they were released symptom free and went back to wörk.
I am more worried about the kitten sized locusts.
I'm going to correct this because it may save some people from having a bad life. The latest numbers are saying that NO age groups, sex or ethnicity are preferentially 'saved' except under 14yo rarely have serious symptoms. ALL other age groups are almost equally badly affected, with a slight bias towards 45-60 yo age group. Yes, weaker and pre-existing condition patients have more fatal outcomes, as with any new disease. 15-20% of those infected develop serious symptoms. From that group, the 'lucky' ones that survive are seriously messed up, with severe damage, scarring to lungs, weakened hearts, kidneys, immune systems and testicular damage in males. Of the 15-20% developing serious symptoms approx. 25% perish (this number changes depending on level of care, access to ICU bed, forced oxygen ventilators (iron lungs), etc). Some of these may be shedding virus for weeks after recovering, some SARS patients were still shedding after 90 days. 80-85% do not develop serious symptoms but still shed the virus in various media, mucus, snot, fecal matter, blood and tears, perhaps even airborne particulates. They can incubate from 2-15 days and shed asymptomatically. This is some serious shit and governments are likely not fully informing their citizens of the full extent of the pandemic in fear of spreading panic. If it gains a foothold, it is almost like this virus was designed to maximise the strain, and ultimately collapse, a modern healthcare system, with a massive peak and on-going care for years, perhaps decades.

The general problem with people is that they expect some things to happen before they have a realistic chance of happening. Expecting a new ATH before halving can be the result of impatience, greed or simply a lack of general knowledge of how things work.

There's a blog post coming out saying not least that the 'state vs freedom' implications of this virus will outweigh those of 9/11 in the long run. I keep thinking we'll know for certain in ~a month whether it's gonna ruin the cricket season. Whoever made the point about cancelling the Olympics being a nightmare for governments that want to keep it all quiet is also probably right.

Still yet to fetch a duderino winning although we've exchanged gifts by mail which feels like a win and part of the collection. I mark the coins on a Trezor, collection like, which I hope to look back in 10 years and post the stories and signed keys here. Hopefully worth ridiculous amounts.

"Some Bitcoin promoters are deliberately misrepresenting my concession that anyone who bought Bitcoin 10 years ago and sells now will make money as an endorsement of buying #Bitcoin today. It is not. Those who buy today and sell 10 years from now will likely do so at a loss." https://twitter.com/PeterSchiff/status/1229742185651851266LOL, I wonder what he will say as the years go by and he gets proven wrong over and over, just like for the last 6 or 7.
