I used to keep my merits for non-legendaries.

Now only rarely do I find a merit worthy post by non-legends; let alone beginners. What has happened to the WO? Do I sound like a fading boomer if I suspect only the "old guard" is keeping this place interesting?

Would you Dare to Hear the truth?
The truth is, Legendary WO members have been here, and they are only keeping it interesting.
Everyday newbie accounts spawn up, and they post tweets to get some easy merits until they get at least Full Member rank to apply for a signature campaign. Once they get ranked up, They do not return to WO until they feel they need more merits to reach the next rank. You will see new people coming and disappearing every few days.  If Signature Campaign disappears from this forum, you rarely see newbies' posts in the WO thread. So yeah, the answer to your question is Yes. So, feel free to spend your merits on Legendaries Post  Wink

6 year ago USDC CEO declared bitcoin dead. I ponder when I see men like this living in ignorance.

Centralized Exchanges are Crap. You know that.
If you are using one, be ready for anything

You agree that Binance shall have the right to immediately suspend your Binance Account (and any accounts beneficially owned by related entities or affiliates), freeze or lock the Digital Assets or funds in all such accounts, and suspend your access to Binance for any reason including if Binance suspects any such accounts to be in violation of these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or any applicable laws and regulations. You agree that Binance shall not be liable to you for any permanent or temporary modification of your Binance Account, or suspension or termination of your access to all or any portion of Binance Services. Binance shall reserve the right to keep and use the transaction data or other information related to such Binance Accounts.

I've never had an account on Binance >> totally unaffected by all this.
I had one encounter with Chinese exchanges back when they were faking volume in 2014 and had enough for life.

Maybe this means you have to lower your standards and merit posts that you wouldn't merit a year ago Wink
Treat it like an investment into those newbies. We want them here because statistically the longer they're here the more they learn. The more they know the better they post. The better they post the more merit they get. The more merit they get the more they give.

It only affects deposits/withdrawals in pounds using a service called Paysafe. Binance must be arranging to start using a different service as they claim pound withdrawals will restart on May 22.

https://www.theregister.com/2023/03/15/binance_deposits_withdrawals_uk/

Quote
all customers will be unable to deposit or withdraw their crypto in pounds from May 22.

Quote
Paysafe and Binance both noted that other forms of deposits for UK customers are – and will remain – available.

Credit Suisse crashes to record low as it warns of 'material weaknesses' in its financial reporting
https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-11860583/Credit-Suisse-crashes-record-low-warns-material-weaknesses.html

"It revealed the firm had identified 'certain material weaknesses in our internal control over financial reporting' for 2022 and 2021."

That's one way of saying you are broke I guess.
 Roll Eyes

How big are they?

In 2021, Credit Suisse had assets under management (AuM) of over CHF 1.6 trillion. On February 9, 2023, the bank reported an annual loss of CHF 7.3 bn, the biggest loss since the 2008 global financial crisis.
Another bank collapse will send Bitcoin over 30k$ imho

It took me way too long to realize why you removed your avatar hat.   I am so dense sometimes.

Wow man…awesome ! Thank you very much…I would have given you more merits but I only had 7! This is actually my first hat…I never had one before. Enjoy your vacation.
