You guys think we can break 25k now after the somewhat 'positive' Jerome powell statements ?

We will all stand by the Turkish people, we will try to stand by the Turkish people as much as we can. They need medical equipment, medicine, and financial help right now.  If we the people of the world try to stand by them, then their suffering will be reduced to some extent. Remember that a little help in times of need means a lot of good for them.

I fully agree with JayJuanGee , in most of his points.

I see the same shit here like in traditional markets. A lot of newbies or idiots thinking they can make profit and the find the holy grial in trading only because they have some good times or only because the market its in a full bullmarket.

But in the end the 90% of the people doesnt have the abbility , the time , and the will to make more sophisticated strategist. But the trading guys always thinks like all the people should do this or this to maximise the profit bla bla. Man, the people outside its really diferent.

You better make DCA than starting make things that you dont really know if you are a newbie in the markets.

This why I have been showing my dca stats. which was started last November.

Hey here is some news that is interesting.

https://decrypt.co/120703/giannis-antetokounmpo-nft-sorare-nba

"Sorare NBA, an officially licensed and NFT-driven fantasy basketball game, set a new milestone on Sunday when a 1/1 NFT of Giannis Antetokounmpo sold for $187,000 worth of ETH—by far the highest sale for the relatively young platform."

The Central Bank of Nigeria is pushing for wider CBDC adoption by limiting ATM cash withdrawals and changing banknotes for lower denomination ones.

As a result, demand for $BTC is skyrocketing and price reached a 40% premium.

🇳🇬 Nigerians don’t want CBDC, they want #Bitcoin

https://twitter.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1622340350198136833?t=a01ntz9U9Dpjh5m72G7COw&s=19

I think that Bitcoin Magazine might be using the official exchange rate of about 460 Naira to the dollar.
Nobody will ever sell you dollars at 460 Naira to the dollar.  I doubt that even the Nigerian government would do that, despite the fact that it's the official exchange rate, because the Naira isn't worth anywhere near that much.
The Naira goes for about 750 to the dollar on the street, according to my cursory online searching.
I've never been to Nigeria nor exchanged Naira, but I've been to Argentina several times and exchanged money there.  The Argentine government will be happy to buy your dollars at the official exchange rate.  You will never in this life pry dollars out of the hands of the government at the official exchange rate.
In countries with weak currency, high inflation and capital controls, the official exchange rate is a complete fiction and merely a tool of financial oppression.
Unfortunately, some people will base their economic analyses on that exchange rate.
The question is, how much are people really paying for bitcoin in Nigeria?

If I had a chunk of cash at the end of 2022 and wanted to eventually convert it in bitcoin, then I would have invested 1/3 right away (based on prior halving timing, yada, yada), and 2/3 later (within the next 10 mo).
If you don't have a "chunk" and instead invest a part of your cashflow, then, sure, DCA your heart out, but if you had that "chunk", then dcaing=mostly wasting your time.
What's wrong with bulk-buying btc with a >70% discount from the ATH instead of just tipping your toes in?
I haven't said anything about TRADING, well, maybe @dragonvslinux did, and it is for those with certain skills;
I am mostly focused on buying and less on selling.

Having three big "gulps" instead of just one allows for sudden macro situations a la March 2020.
This should work and I have a 'feeling' that some WO regs with extra fiat money are doing exactly this while being quiet until after they are satisfied with their new buying and content with their improved positions.

BitcoinBunny (just above)

The UK wants a CBDC, yet does not want anyone to save it?  Uh-huh, they really DO care for the people, bwaaaha...  Nice list of why some areas (with more economic freedoms) are doing so much better than others.  For anyone with a brain, it should be more than obvious now that big and nosy .gov's are the problem, such governments solve nothing and bring more misery into their nations.  Our own "Joe Biden" was just today labeled "The Most Progressive President" we've ever had.

I spent a few days in Dubai about 5 years ago.  Fascinating place.  I doubt that I would choose to live there, but the freedom to do what you want (as long as you respect their culture and keep your yap shut about their .gov) was impressive.

Dubai (at their big mall near the Burj) has one of the biggest & best bookstores I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot of bookstores.  That's where I found my copy of The Bitcoin Standard.

Me and my other half are already considering emigrating or at least spending our time more in Dubai in the Emirates (I've been a couple of times and it's pretty nice if you can accept the religious stuff - thus keep your head down and certainly very, very safe) and another particular country far removed from western influence these days.<snip>

About Dubai people are saying that it is good for doing business, but there is almost no "nature".
Good shopping, though, right?
I was checking out Thailand, but unlikely to go...their LTR visa is kind of bewildering (asking for a lot, providing very little, imho).
Thailand prices seem to be moving upwards very fast, too.
Additionally, as of right now, foreigners cannot own land, which means that buying a standalone property is basically a nonstarter (you would own the house, but not the land under it).

Not saying there is anything wrong with your strategy. From my experience, DCA is a better option for newbies and people who are too emotional when it comes to parting with their FIAT! Like I said before, to get someone to buy when we are >70% from ATH is a mission on it's own! However, when we are +400% from last ATH, well, good luck convincing them to hold back a little....

You're dam right about WO Regs accumulating and adding to their stash!

I've got the following in place...

DCA every Tuesday (for myself and other's who finally understand what Bitcoin really is)
LN Node generation routing fees
#BTFD (anything greater than 4% decline)
Ladder Buys (starting from $20,000USD and lower to capitalise on any flash drops)
#NO SELL ORDERS in place anywhere!

which is why in Nov 2022

I made 4x + 4x + 4x = 12x buy the dip

And I did a dca.

they hedge each other.

as it turns out the 12x buy the dip move has done better than the first 12 x dca  I ended that dca at 12 x buys because it is a perfect match.

and it clear shows that buy the dip won out over that dca.

I am now doing another dca lets see if it can beat the 12x buy the dip I did.

Hint we need to drop to 15k very quickly for it to happen.

and basically these moves for me are for idle fun as they are no where near my gear purchases. which are over 200x fiat since sept 1.

in fact 522x in gear since sept 1

220x not me . the warehouse owner and his son.

302x me and buysolar

the buy the dips and dcas are all me.

so I am going

151x gear
  12x first dca
   12x buy the dip

    4x second dca

I plan to do the second dca for six weeks  total 12x

then decide what to do after it.
