Big walls against LN spotted

"The BTC fork of bitcoin", that's when I stopped listening.
Downvoted the vid and closed it just from the way he looks and the first two seconds. What a fucking creep.

It's weird how he got derailed and started preaching the gospel of Bcash. He's otherwise a smart guy who did a lot of good defending privacy in general and digital/internet privacy in particular in the European parliament.
And I have been following his series of (the lack of) digital privacy as compared to the strong analog privacy rights we have. It's really interesting reading.

Keep in mind the kids come first.  Everyone else comes second.

That means that making the kids suffer because the mother slept around is the wrong answer.
No. I come first. Then my kids - (...)

I seriously doubt you have kids. and if so, I feel really sorry for them.

Aaand there's the left with their obligatory ad hominem. No arguments, just attack the guy who says things you don't like, cause, like I'm right so you must be an idiot.

lol, you came here - went to the pages of wo posts and this triggered you to defend him? he said, when it comes to kids: "No. I come first. Then my kids - (...).
based on only this i stated that i doubt he has kids. because if he had kids, he most probably wouldn't write such egoistic, selfish, self-serving crab. that is not ad hominem. it is an assumption, based on what he wrote. then I stated that if he really had kids - and still believes he is more important than his kids - then I would feel sorry for them. how is it ad hominem to feel bad for kids who have a selfish, egoistic dad, that he himself proclaimed to be?
to become a parent is the most overwhelming thing that can happen to you. it is fulfilling your biological/genetic reason to be on this planet. it usually completely blows away selfishness in any possible way. life has a meaning when you have kids.
if your meaning in life is "no. I come first" then I feel ultimately sorry for you (not ad hominem) and i would conclude that you are a complete ugly stinking fucking arsehole with a character that should not aim for reproduction (maximum ad hominem  Cheesy)

There are less than 100 Bcash nodes operational.  Looks like someone threw the switch on 500 AWS instances.

That's the ad hominem.

I think you are misunderstanding him, If the parent for some reason goes under the kid will too, that's why it's important to put the parent first. The same reason why you are ordered to put your own oxygen mask on first, and then put your kids mask on. Parent first IS putting your childs wellbeing first.

Wait not quite, that's btc unlimited nodes that were switched off. That's some catch-all for the scammers of cypherdoc/jbreher class to run weird nonsense like xt/unlimited/cash other shit.
I'd guess they're (btrashers) saving up for another attack when Craig Wright comes up with marvellous new patented softwares.

This graphic was floating about at the same time, and seems to paint the status quo more accurately.

think it's adapted from http://coin.dance/ (down right now , i wonder why)

Lol must be a "considance" that all major BCash supporters are slimy salesmen/politician.

The level of shadiness around BCash is really extreme, like all the shit from crypto gravitates towards it.

Bcash is a lot bigger scam than bitconnect.

Interesting stats, hope Craig Wright just disappears back where he came from.
https://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/charts/branches.html for listening nodes not just fully validating ones. but can't tell from there which btc unlimited nodes run btrap.

Falkvinge is in full on shilling mode ... who's pulling his strings? ... what's that on the bottom of his snazzy monitor "Rick Falkvinge .... Swarm Intelligence Evangelist" ... has he joined some kind of cult? who's looking out for the kids there? It's all has a really weird vibe to it. As to the content, the bit I watched gave me the feeling he only has superficial understanding of LN and was flailing around (with the hands waving thing especially evident) then I clicked on sidebar for the lulz
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atvJwwec_2A&pbjreload=10
and this shameless girl had the same level of flailing around describing bitcoin/crypto as poor old rick did figuring on FUDDing lightning .... not to say LN will be everyone's cup of tea and will fix everything but it looks like a promising idea for moving volumes and opening up some options.

never mind that you raised an important point: btrap people are suspending funding for some things (AWS, spam attacks) and directing it towards eg Falkvinge's ^ microphone.

You're always in for a fun night when Salma Hayek is around - as anyone who's ever seen one of her memorable appearances on Graham Norton will know.

"In this very important and historical year for women, I am here on this legendary stage to celebrate men," the actress said to laughs and cheers from the audience as she introduced the best actor category.

But she wasn't done being playful. (BBC)

Sheeeeeeeit. Dagnabbit even.
Eh, growing pains.

On a related note, what is with the low transaction backlog? This morning there were under 5,000 unconfirmed transactions, that's exceptionally low compared to 200k plus last month. Is this LN, the network without all the spam, or what?

Given the low levels of traffic, you really only need one node......

I'm checking the LN growth on a daily basis. I would not say that there is any correlation between the mempool and the growth rate or total number of channels or volume.
