jbreher the BCash lover wants to go on and on about how Bitcoin fungibility is somehow "compromised" with SegWit. But on this BCash compromise (ie. complete failure)? Dead silence. Crickets. Complete failure? Not at all. For those transactions worth waiting for, you can wait for block inclusion. It is an option that BTC does not give you. You attempt to suggest that bitcoiners are less empowered because bitcoin does not allow for zero confirmations; I don't suggest anything of the sort. I suggest that BTC'ers are less empowered because BTC actively weakens the ability to profitably accept zero confirmation transactions. Well, bcash also has to rely on big blocks, which presents further problems. Due to the increased centralization of big blocks, 0-conf-accepting vendors have to increasingly trust an increasingly centralized mining cabal. I'll take smaller blocks and lightning over that.

Bored..so hang on. Public safety notice. *Please make sure tin foil hat is firmly attached* Ready Player One? There is quite the flurry going around the twitterverse today. It has to do with a hash with was produced on June 19th. "000000000000000000 21e800c1e8df51b22c1588e5a624bea17e9faa34b2dc4a" https://www.coindesk.com/21e800-bitcoin-satoshi-mystery-twitter-obsessing/Some background: There is a theory in physics that attempts to explain the interactions and dynamics of all forces, including gravity, in the universe with one simple mathematical structure known as the E8. Presented in a paper titled, "An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything" by Garrett Lisi in 2007, it still remains unproven.
Couple the unsolved status of the E8 theory with the equally unsolved mystery of the exact identity of the person(s) who brought bitcoin – with its supply cap of 21 million coins – into existence, and you get the hypothesis that "21e800" isn't just some random string of numbers and value. In fact, the theory seems to suggest, it is a "vanity hash" purposefully placed by the creator of bitcoin himself/herself/themselves, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Starting to get goosebumps yet? This is a deep rabbit hole. The further you dive into it the more challenging the mysteries. What interests me is the dates these "theories" were published..a little over 10 years ago..just before bitcoin was launched. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An_Exceptionally_Simple_Theory_of_Everythinghttps://www.scientificamerican.com/article/mathematicians-team-up-wi/https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/garrett-lisi-e8-theory/Latest article on arxiv relating to e8 published this year. Pure goobly gook for most..but it shows the big brains are still working on it. https://arxiv.org/pdf/1802.09626.pdfWas something discovered around 2008? Did a mathematician or group of them find a message from the future? Was it the root cause of the global financial "crisis"? Fast forward to this year.. Quantum block chains and temporal paradoxes.. https://arxiv.org/pdf/1804.05979.pdfAs discussed below, all the subsystems of this design have already been shown to be experimentally realized. Furthermore, if such a quantum blockchain were to be constructed, we will show that it could be viewed as a quantum networked time machine. Coupling these together makes for some interesting speculation imho. Is Satoshi from the future? Was he contacted from the future by a benevolent AI to develop an alternative timeline? Is time travel possible? Maybe.. Odd that I made this post just over a week before this was published.. The entanglement deepens.. Deep dive beyond bitcoin and what I think might be the greatest gift of this technology.
The long term benefits of this technology might be this...for the first time when we look backwards in time, at history if you will. We will have cryptographic proof that the information contained is not tampered with. This is such a simple statement that I hope you all take the time to truly understand the profound impact of what it is that I am insinuating. True wisdom comes with understanding the space that you are observing, by accurately "mapping" a space..you gain more understanding of it. Having a map that stays consistent over time is a game changer on so many levels I have a hard time wrapping my thoughts around it.
This is how conspiracy theories are hatched..through sheer boredom. If nothing else this might be a decent script for a movie. Enjoy the read..ymmv.

Whatever with your mumbo jumbo rewording of unimportant details concerning what you are asserting to be more supposedly "profitable" at the risk of the whole fucking network. Good luck with that. Anyhow, I don't think that you are saying anything about your position that is much different from what I said about your position... so your clarification is not important. By the way, it seems that you are becoming more and more convinced about the superiority of bcash... why not take a larger stake relative to bitcoin? Are you 50/50 at the moment? or some other ratio? GO Bcash BIGGER, no?

jbreher's spirit animal You wanna rebut anything I said? Or do you think pointing and laughing substitutes for an argument? I haven't read anything you've said for a while. I see people arguing with you, but I know you're incorrigible. You became just a figure of fun. Hahahahaha... V8... You don't need to read anything that jbreher says in order to capture exactly his blind contrarianism within that meme.

I didnt realise big blocks meant more of a tendency to centralisation, otherwise I agree the argument for expansion parallel to tech advance would be a reasonable one. Its interesting how each side is seeing the best path forward, I prefer the more diverse less central route if possible as I think that will weather best. https://youtu.be/JzIKIodumpg?t=1921 Grant's interest rate observer on the reasoning for Bitcoin and how it was always wanted. In the 90s I remember people talking about how micro-transactions, ecash was a requirement for the internet to advance. Google ads helped created an online economy or similar avenues but its still true its needed daily analysis here - waiting for breakout
Could be, I see the uptrend on the lows there. I dont see the downtrend exactly or what would be a boundary upwards exactly 6528 was beat, thats support hopefully and 7369 range to 7724 as a target is reasonable seems like. Also 6846 as a line we met early June before losing 6528

Due to the increased centralization of big blocks,
The assertion that big blocks increases centralization is an unsupported bald one. Can you even define 'centralization'? If so, where are the figures showing this supposed centralization? 0-conf-accepting vendors have to increasingly trust an increasingly centralized mining cabal.
You realize, of course, that the set of miners capable of mining BCH is exactly the same as the set of miners capable of mining BTC, right? I'll take smaller blocks and lightning over that.
Fair enough. You payz yo money and you makes yo choice. I'll take the big blocks, thanks.

The significance of

and the last ATH 19666
how these two numbers are part of numerology, the religious and economists
Used as indicators for key events, signals and action
This numerology is revered among the so called 1%
if you believe it or not, they do....
its a revelation alright

so...essentially...you are saying 'it could go up' or 'it could go down' I probably didnt even manage that much. Just putting a stick in the sand trying to guess which way the tide is going, at least if I can observe it beating a negative point or ceiling then thats some strength. Generally we're in a positive phase I think, so I'd say upwards til we negate certain measures like the blue line MA On June 14th the price we're sitting above was a bit a ceiling, it declined from that point but we beat it with a good bigger bar on 18th June and now confirming it as some base to rise from. I dont see we are in a strong trend currently, bit indecisive dealing with sellers and swapping back and forth I guess. up or down then :p smaller bars, what happened to Bart btw

This might be the dip you have been looking for. I think over the next 10 days will see a moderate increase in price for bitcoin. I have doubts we will see over $7k again this summer. Looking at $6.95k at or around July 1st. #dyor. 1h 4h D

It's hard killing things. I deer hunt, and feel bad every time I shoot one. Another one of man's burdens I guess.
It's funny that. Last week we lost a chicken. What pissed me off is that it took the head off and didn't even eat the rest. A few days later I get a call at work, the racoon is in my yard in broad daylight. I rush home steaming...it's on motherfucker. She's got it chased up a tree. I don welding gloves, leather jacket, goggles...ladder up against tree...grab a chunk of 5/8" ground rod that was handy. I get up there and young racoon is looking at me like...WTF is this monkey about? Anyway, long story, I DID stab him and I DID knock him 30' out of the tree and he had a real bad day...but at the critical moment I failed to focus my energy sufficiently on the killing blow. It is hard killing things. I just take them all to the casino and let them take care of the varmints. I pay enough for their room and board. So can we finally call this a bottom or What? TBDR <<-- Too Big Didn't Read
I'm going to make up a new acronym for "did not read word too big" I'm sick of googling a word if it's only used to make you look intelligent.
Maybe, once in a while, people use a BIG word just to attempt to look smarter - but frequently, there is just BAD word choice going on. Surely, there are also trolls out there, who engage in all kinds of disingenuous tactics to divert from the topic, but in the end, I believe that you are overstating the pretentiousness phenomenon.. and describing something that largely does not exist. Lots of small brained peeps accused college educated folks of this, and some of those people fail and refuse to educate themselves while accusing the other person of pretending. On the other hand, I will back track a little bit and say to you that I do recognize a phenomenon of ICO and/or Alt coin pumpers and bitcoin bashers engaging in attempts at over technicalizing and complicating their explanation of some matter that they are describing in order to make their CON job seem to be more important than it is... In our current world of information and fake news, each of us has a responsibility to engage in critical thinking and critical reading, and figure out if some presenter is presenting genuine ideas badly or attempting to con us (whether intentional or not). There can be some good people with good intentions that unwittingly get caught up in carrying the con water for someone else. I certainly cannot disagree with the bolded. Now this "pretentiousness phenomenon" almost made it to the TBDR level.
