I am almost sure at least someone here must know his fucking shit about video projectors.... Am I wrong?

I need a *BUDGET* long throw OUTDOORS projector (around 5+ meters to the wall) .... Any suggestions? I know you guys know.....

Not that much resolution needed, as the viewing point will be like 15-20 meters (the other end of the pool)  or more from the projected wall. It's brilliance and contrast what I need.

P.S.: Inb4 someone starts screming offtopic let's just say this is *wall observing* at its finest, you know.

Are you me?  I was pondering this today.

Hahhaa, then we need this to be resolved like already. What's your budget? Me, being the poor miserable fucker I am, plan to spend less than $200. I know it would be possible since I already saw the performance of a much older and cheaper (around $120 Excelvan brand) projector that was more or less satisfactory even if just barely. But I want MORE. More brilliance mostly. And I need it now, as I am already filling the pool.

I am afraid that I am letting the team down. I have the design on my counter and contract in my inbox.  Still about 3 - 4 months away from being able to fill it.

What are you projecting onto ?  Just white paint?

Yup. In fact it is yellowish paint right now but once you start projecting at night it isn't noticeable. And that was in a test with a cheaper/older projector of a friend. The experience was very nice, in fact I was surprised it even was viewable as I was expecting a total failure considering the poor pre-conditions. Of course you need night time darkness.

I will paint it white (regular paint as "special" projecting paints are like fuckin expensive) for more reflection and use a brighter projector. I think that will suffice to have a very decent experience for what I want (just see some movies outdoors and project videoclips/whatever).

As I can't place the projector less than 6 meter close to the wall I need a long throw unit... which coincidently are cheaper than short throw ones. Smiley

For the moment, I think this one could be a reasonable choice for a 200" "screen" projecting from 6 meters from the wall: https://www.amazon.com/PONER-SAUND-Presentations-Compatible-Chromecast/dp/B07DNPT1KH

If anyone here do know better, please say so... I need to start properly observing that wall asap! Tongue

What is it that you are designing/contracting?

P.S.: This one has Android, WIFI and bluetooth for a similar price: https://es.aliexpress.com/store/product/Poner-Saund-M5-LED-Projector-3D-Android-Projetor-4500-Lumens-Support-Full-HD-1080P-Projektor-HDMI/301676_32882495087.html?spm=a2g1y.12024536.productList_36113402.pic_0

... But I am starting to have some doubts about the real *ANSI* lumens equivalent of this unit.... That's the trickiest and most important part to determine the right choice for outdoors.

https://www.personalprojector.co.uk/blog/2017/10/covered-in-confusion-when-it-comes-to-understanding-lumens-and-brightness/

How many inches of screen are you talking about?

Something like this in 150 inches may be correct.

Projecting on the wall looks good, until you see the same thing on a real screen, the difference is like night and day.

Mic

I'm missing the total number of hats.

xhomerx10

I would also like to know how many new hats in 2019:

January?
February?
March?
April?

And from here, each new hat will update.

Thx.

I don't have really good account-keeping for the hats so I'll have to go through my PMs and posts to get some numbers for you.  Right now I'm running late to get in for a night shift but I'll try to get something to you by week's end. Smiley

Ok, thx.

Ok, thx.

Look at the link, I do not know if you saw this > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg50585690#msg50585690

Calvin's relationship/partnership with Craig right now.

Ayre has reportedly been involved with CSW since at least Feb 2016. See this lengthy article, though note that it uses info from several highly unreliable sources, so you have to second-guess everything. Apparently, Wright worked in Antigua on gambling websites a long time ago, which is Ayre's residence and line of business, so they probably met directly or indirectly through this.

Wright first publicly made his appearance in the Bitcoin scene in Dec 2015, and apparently he was engaging in the "I'm Satoshi but down on my luck, plz give me a small loan of a million dollars" shtick from at least around mid 2015. The fact that Ayre was involved so early makes me a bit suspicious that he could be in on the con, but it's also possible that he's just fallen for it real deep.

I find Ayre's actions inexplicable. He appeared in this space suddenly, with a thin recent history. He's fixated on statist arguments, but his history makes me think that he should be biased against the state. (CSW has also been talking about this: which one is influencing the other?) He's stuck steadfastly by CSW for 3+ years with nothing obvious to show for it, and probably significant losses. (But is there something we don't know about? Does he somehow stand to profit from the current course of events, where SV & CSW fail in a loud and dragged-out way?)

If anyone has some connection to Ayre through a friend-of-a-friend or something, I'd really like to know what's actually going through his mind.

Ayre couldn't care less about BTC he's only the money man, but he's not an idiot and won't throw millions around unless he believe he could profit from it. If CSW could convince Gavin and Ayre, he might actually have some remote association to Satoshi. Now it's not bullet proof and he doesn't have access to the stash. CSW claimed that Satoshi's stash is locked up in a trust till 1/1/2020. Assuming that's the case, there's no way anyone is touching it without a ton of litigations. To raise his chances the first step is to get as much PR as humanely possible to associate himself with Satoshi. Create BSV fork, file lawsuits etc... Even if case is dismissed for lack of evidence he still gets a lot of coverage drumming it up as much as possible and gathering a following. Outcome of this lawsuit is irrelevant as its only there for PR, once he gets his TV time that's where the real war for the stash starts. It will be a long process which will require a ton of money, enter Ayre he bankrolls the process for a cut of a stash, his roll is to sponsor the games while cheerleading CSW from the sidelines as loud as he can. That's the only logic hypothesis i can come up with, outside of them just being lunatics that like to burn money.

Greedy bears were waiting for a high volume bottom plunge that didn't come. I believe we already bottomed according to the not so common Rounding Bottom pattern https://tradingsim.com/blog/rounding-bottom/ that the herd was not looking out for. This fits neatly with the decline starting off with monster volume and plunging down more multiple times but at a slower rate and with weaker volume each time. Also its likely that Jimbo cursed us all behind our backs in a moment of weakness while Roach did speak to a Jewish girl(his last female contact till he meets and falls in love with Gembitz at the 100k party) and Searing has already panic sold a big chunk at the bottom. Goose and JJG publicly made their sacrifices(thank you kind sirs) but we may have to speculate about the clandestine actions of Searing, Roach, and Jimbo. All of these conditions met would assure the bottom is in. If correct we should keep rising, slowly at first, but gaining speed and volume on the way out and see 6k  around Jan 12 2019. The cautious bull herd seems to be taking for granted they will get a nice long year to accumulate cheap coins like 2015 and then they can all be millionaires since they neglected to do this 4 years ago during the last great crypto winter, I dont think this will happen at all. Only 21 million(ok like 17 million) coins and its pretty pie in the sky for everyone to think they are gonna get 12 months of bargain basement prices where they can just casually collect coins for peanuts while fundamentals grow stronger by the day.

Ideal scenario (gently and slowly light up your hopium pipes for this one and take a big inhale)........

after regaining 6k in mid January, Bakt would then usher in another mini bubble to 40k followed by a quick and mild bear season testing 10k again, all before the next halving where the march to 250k starts Kiss

Also for anyone waiting for the high profile ragequit/capitulation/ from a well known Bitcoiner.... well the Erik Finman "Bitcoin is dead" was about as good as it gets. This kid has been well covered by the media for quite some time as the "teenage Bitcoin millionaire." If you're waiting for Saifedean Ammous to declare Bitcoin dead before we hit bottom, sorry its just not gonna happen.

Still working on the Gembitz origin story screenplay. Conducting a lot of in depth research into her sad and messy life right now before the big reveal coming soon. Stay tuned frenz.

I predicted the bottom was in on Nov 25 2018 at around 3400. It was breached and we got to the 3100's a few weeks later.  On Dec. 17, in a severe drug induced state from smoking enough Hopium to kill a striped hyena, I declared Dec. 15 2018 to be bottom. I knew the risks of smoking this much Hopium but I said fuck it and traded almost all of the filthy US dollars I had at my disposal for more cheap coins.

So far so good. Knock on wood.

123 days into the new Baby Bull Market and all is well Grin

possible to associate himself with Satoshi.

There are at least 2 ways to prove that he is Satoshi:
Satoshi Nakamoto <satoshin@gmx.com>
He should have access to email Satoshi.
Satoshi Nakamoto in bitcointalk.org
Log in to your bitcointalk.org account
And leave a message: "Hello, this is Craig Wright and I am Satoshi Nakamoto!"

If this is done, there will be, almost, no doubt that Satoshi is him!

If you leave we wont have much of a wack pack left, so stick around.

He could prove it cryptogriphly by posting a signed message from one of the addresses from the Genesis block or indeed any early address but he won’t because he can’t.

He is not Satoshi Nakamoto.

Get with the times, youngling.

The gmx email address was compromised years ago and put up for sale.

The bitcointalk database has been compromised multiple times and satoshi's account has been long shut down.

Even if he signed from one of the known blocks all it would prove is that he controlled those private keys at that moment of signing, though of course it would be much more compelling than anything else.

No one can prove they're Satoshi without a shred of doubt. It's too late now.

There's no point in any of this if he had hard proof. Clearly if he had the keys to the stash all of this would be useless, and he wouldn't need Ayre. It appears as if he's building a case for himself to put a claim in if not for full amount then for a portion. And if before all that he manages to get some court to write something positive for his case his chances would improve significantly, if not at least he got publicity and recognition that should also help his claim and possibly silencing people (not good for a case if all of the internet is calling him a fraud)
