It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Ill kick off the Saturday action,

Nice romantic surprise cheese board and posh wine. *edit* a sprinkle of children's pants perfects the mood. Though often angers the parents*

Going down nicely....

I would of instant merit this nice "cheese table" if I had.... enjoy a fine meal, I do love to eat cheese as well, which wine are you connecting to the cheese?

In 2 hours will be drinking and eating as well.... Maybe to take a cheese board as well as desert, you're making me hungry.

I went daring it was the wine next to Borollo, top shelf. Has a cork. Damn Im posh  Smiley

A plea for help.

If any of you car guys in Europe want to give me a hand, I need a part that is extinct in North America...at my wits end.

PM me please.

What car part you need Jojo? I'm in the UK happy to help, though most parts come here from the east.

Thanks! WO delivered in short order.  It is on it's way, which will be nice as the vehicle needing it is clogging my workspace but good.

Snapped off a brake bleeder valve.  Attempted extraction myself and ended up buggering the seat well and truly.  Discovered that particular corner caliper is near unobtanium for this particular (quite obscure) 35 year old German auto.

Unfortunately, it has become more of a pet than transportation.

And no one in the legacy financial markets would have the balls to claim to be Satoshi, and start suing everyone who says otherwise.

How everything is connected:

1. It is difficult to buy btc miners in US because of a 27.6% tariff (including 25% Trump's tariff on Chinese miners).

2. it is possible that this would go away because of negotiations.

3. Why negotiations might succeed? For one part it is because China would need to import LOTS of food items soon.

4. Why? because they have a problem:

Mozilla (firefox) broke the adblockplus and almost all other add-ons.
https://twitter.com/mozamo/status/1124484255159971840

Don't want to use Chrome...yet.

BTW, those who like gold...
https://news.yahoo.com/two-neutron-stars-exploded-cosmic-212200086.html

Explains why we might have lots of gold and uranium (relatively speaking) in around solar system.

BTC: seems to hesitate around 5800

Set your date back a few days and reload plugins until they fix it.

BTW, use Ublock Origins not adblock or plus.

My system date? It's on automatically. I can change that of course.
Why ublock instead of adblockplus?
I will wait and they would probably fix it overnight as they seem to be 'activating' devs to do this (even at a higher cost).
BTW, the ancient Firefox 48 is NOT affected and work with maybe 99% of sites.
Keeping something older in house (just in case).

I think they added the signed cert in like FF 56 (don't quote me) but the key to disable it did not work for me.

Ublock origins is from the original author of ublock but now maintained by Raymond Hill (check out his website). the original ublock got hijacked when the author abandoned it for awhile and then when he returned he had to change it to ublock original. Adblock is a revenue generating bloatware while adblock plus has added whitelist of shit you don't want whitelisted.

you just google them ublock origin vs adblock plus...

heres a quick link
https://3dinsider.com/adblock-plus-vs-ublock-origin/

BTW, once your browser is open you can change your date back so your calendars and other page certs all work.
But if you start the browser without back dating then you will have to reload them all manually.

The videos shown here visualize the propagation of blocks and transactions through the Bitcoin P2P network. Each dot on the map represents one peer, which has announced a specific hash to our monitor peer. The peers appear on the map at the estimated time they announced the hash to our monitor, i.e., the time we received their announcement minus the average latency to the peer.

I wouldn't say it's "outdated" at all, it just doesn't apply to BTC. Traditional metrics for companies aren't going to disappear.
