@JSRAW Congrats man! Surprised to find out you actually weren't a hero member already - almost as it was with Hairy, who actually only became a hero when he was already nearly a legend in deed.

New Plan: Dumping 50 BTC next time we cross $10k USD. Rick approved. He's nervous as well.
Fuck this action.
this is exactly what whales try to force the dump money to do even now at the 8k mark. don't be the victim be the actor. refuse to be the victim always because it's not good for mentality health to get in this secondary position. EDIT: sorry, mixed up decline and refuse (not my mothertongue) Exactly!!!!! Plans to cash out BTC should be more strategic and incremental and account for likely BTC rises in the next 2 to 6 years rather than based on fears and emotional concerns about downside potential that is NOT as likely as the FUD spreaders are making it out to be. But whatever guys are going to do what they are going to do, and since Bob has previously presented some of his actual numbers, rather than percentages, I would imagine that 50BTC is around 1/8 or more of Bob's BTC stash... so seems to me to be a bit emotionally based to be cashing out so large of a percentage of his stash based on little blips up in BTC's price and seemingly over concernedness about BTC possible downside, which is likely more of a shortterm thing and NOT as likely as mainstream media FUD would like us to believe.

@Bawb Not my business, man, but... consider what ignored JJG has to say: Cash it out a little at a time, like in 2-4 chunks - especially if you don't actually need all the money at once. New Plan: Dumping 50 BTC next time we cross $10k USD. Rick approved. He's nervous as well.

via Imgflip Meme GeneratorBtw..... one of my best friends is a salesman for BMW, yesterday they had an inspection, they asked where is the gender-neutral restroom...... They didn’t have one.... the guy said better provide one it will be obligated! Where the F*** are we going at It's just (one) result of sick human minds. Bad news is, we all have this sickness, buddhists call this part of our mind "the ego", which makes us vulnerable to hysteria. If we continue like that, crippling common sense, we will end up pretty bad as society. All I need is a few million bucks so I get to choose my own society of healthy people. Poor fucks will have to interact with those sick people every day, like I have been doing for nearly 10 years... In Thailand the roles seem still intact. Men make money and bring food home, women take care of children and cook. When I will be rich one day I think Thailand could be a nice place to live. Bruh...Haven't you heard? in Thailand half of the female population are former males. Everytime I think about Thailand, Only this fact comes to my mind. The only place I'd like to spend the rest of my life is... I believe it is Spain. Mediterranean country, no sharks in the sea, as far as I've seen; not many weirdos there, the girls are friendly too. I don't want to be rude to the Thai people but, Thailand... suck.

Just reading on Twitter that one of the largest child porn rings in the world spanning 11 countries has been taken down. Access was via bitcoin on the darkweb. Maybe a reason for the slight dump? Edit - Found a more informative link - https://twitter.com/coindesk/status/1184490895439093761?s=21Edit 2 - Fucking hell, that’s bad. 32 kids were rescued, they were being abused by creeps using this site operated by a South Korean guy.

EDIT: sorry, mixed up decline and refuse (not my mothertongue) Back in October 2014 a whale put up a 30000 Bitcoins sell wall at $300 on bitstamp. People were furiously dumping just below it, but it got eaten and a day later the price was far above $300. Hodl, don't be the victim. https://www.cnbc.com/2014/10/09/bitcoins-bearwhale-and-the-future-of-a-cryptocurrency.htmlHere's what that wall did to the price (for a short time). Here's the bear whale emerging. And you can read the drama starting at this page. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.177100Yeah, I remember that too. I watched it, and I might have even bought .1BTC or some other quantity into that wall, to the extent that I had any money left in my budget during those psychologically difficult times in terms of BTC's price fall that seemed as if it would not stop. Furthermore, the whole of 2015 BTC's price was mostly below $300 and frequently in the $225 arena. Of course, late 2015 showed that the $300 dumper had been wrong, but we still don't know who that was, and surely it is quite possible that s/he/it had a whole year to acquire all of those coins back (and more) below the dump price. So there could be some lesson in dumping or going with the dump too, even though, I personally would not play like that because the $300 dump had actually taken place towards the bottom of a then 75% (considering $1,163 as the then top) that ultimately had gone down to about an 87% correction (spiking down to $152), and a large time hovering between $220 and $250 (78.5 to 81% correction levels).

It is a kind of relatively large scale relief of pressure, no? Aka dump, no? in other words if someone is engaged in a dumping practice, then they could be considered a dumper, at least for that particular action. He's done it before, too... so it is not like an isolated incident, either. I am not trying to side one way or another, and frequently Bob asserts that I am too much of a meanie, but seems that we should be calling a spade a spade rather than trying to sugarcoat. AmiNOTrite?

I think we're going to still remain in a neutral/sideways market this month. I'd expect to have a resolution to the current consolidation pattern somewhen at the start of November. To be sincere Bitcoin is looking kind of drippy at the moment but it is still in the confines of the 200 EMA and the 377 EMA. A break in either way on the daily will dictate the next medium term trend in my opinion.

Hi WO Gang! I had a nasty herpes on my left eye and spent the last 2 weeks fighting with it. Fortunately, I got completely healed without any complications. The small fiat reserve which I left after the last buying of a portion of bitcoin turned out to be completely enough for the unexpected expenses (I had also 3 medical interventions on my teeth). I am so happy to live with the expectation of the purchase at the end of each month, so I don't care how much we bleed now. Since I don't have a crystal ball to sell high and buy low, the only way to increase my stash is the famous buy and hodl! My luck is so bad, that if I sell a big amount with the hope of buying lower, it is certain that either the price will never fall below that level again or, I will become greedy and try another trade which will cancel my previous profit. (Well, it may not be only the bad luck or the curse of God, but just the human mentality which tends to become more greedy after each success.) This was tested many times in 2016 and 2017. No matter how many successful trades I made, the profit remains much lower than by just holding for the same period and not selling. Confirmed and verified! I hope we will see soon the next spectacular bull run but even if we won't, I prefer to live with a hope postponed in time, rather than to lose the hope and live in bitterness! (r0ach is exhibit A for the last type)

Trading disclosure for peeps who are interested.
My short is very happy now! Unfortunately, I haven't managed to make it even with the long after yesterday's minidump. And I've been too timid in general. I should have made it much larger than the long - even double! With a tight stop on only half of it (evening it out with the long in case of a ramp up, but keeping it nicely plump if/while she kept going down). Well, hindsight is 20/20. I would have been even happier now, and I could have closed both positions with a net profit.
As it is now I'm still in the game, but it will take one more bounce up to make me whole - or some more risk on the short - which at this relatively low price, I'm unwilling to take.
What do you mean by "make me whole"? Are you valuing your situation in fiat? If you made some profits from BTC's price going down and you have accumulated some more BTC from BTC's price going down, then relatively speaking, you are better off from BTC's price going down than guys like me who are merely engaging in longs only. Thus, my whole networth has gone down about the 70% or more as much as BTC's price drop to the amount of my number of BTC's except for the price drop has allowed me to buy more BTC in the sub $8k territory where my next buy orders had been set to buy back about half of the BTC that I had sold in the $8,700 arena.... which those BTC trades are actually buy backs that rise to the level of less than .1% of my BTC value... (that is less than 1/10 of a percent)... So anywhooooo, what I am trying to say is that any ability to profit in BTC from shorts is putting you in a better position than those of us who are only engaging in strategies that involving opening and closing longs. consider what ignored JJG has to say
hahahahaha I kind of like this moniker... In my thinking, the only way to improve it would be to add a few more adjectives such as "[the nosey pain-in-the-ass no homo] ignored JJG".

re: My desire to take some profits during this volatility. I'll do 10 corns @ 10k USD regardless, to take a bit of "pressure" off. Sorry for the hmming-and-hawwing back-and-forth on pondering decisions, out-loud.
I'm not really too concerned myself about taking some profit; Rick is nearing retirement within the next year, and is a bit bummed out that corn isn't higher in value, as a hedge for him to ragequit like I did. It would help him calm his tits a bit if our home maintenance account was topped off closer to his anticipated target, for us to get through the next 20 years at least. I'm hoping that by shaving off parts of my stash here and there for some fiat, might calm him down a bit.
Money can be such a bitch to worry about. I've learned to chill out and relax now that I've settled nicely into retirement, but Rick is experiencing some anxiety ahead of his exit, and it's starting to wear on me. Dealing with his "emotional turmoil" at times, takes its toll... The things we put up with for those we love, huh ? Wish the dude would just relax more and not worry about money. It's silly. We've both reached that point in our lives where we've attainted far beyond what we had ever imagined in childhood, but honey-buns just can't seem to learn to "don't worry - trust the plans we have put in place with money management" (Personal: My portfolios are averaging 12% returns so far this year. Only 2.4% in the last 30 days, however.)
Thank you for accommodating the rambling.

I can't remember who, maybe all of you guys here from WO, saved me last year. I was desperate to sell at the dip, but I was able to see the light and hold it. Emotions are investor's worse enemy.
