Therein lies the ethical dilemma. Its also why hundreds of dormant accounts suddenly woke up and began shitposting like mad. I personally never had a problem with YoBit, but that's just me. I tend to hang out in the places where people don't shitpost, but delving into Bitcoin Discussion is sometimes like wading through a sewer.

Which is a real problem because that should be the most interesting area of the forum.

Btw..... am I the only one getting really tired of reading this always: CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post! <-- Roll Eyes

Yes, but the problem is not the personal message, which I give no fuck about, but the spammy shitposting actitude of most (not all) of the wearers. Something I do somewhat understand considering that they are paying 0.0002 per up to 5 daily posts. That means they are "forced" to post 5 daily messages to earn 0.03 BTC/month (almost $250) to maximise income.

Now take into account most of the signature campaigners are from low-rate countries where that is a LOT of money, plus many of them cheat and join with several alt accounts, etc etc... And you end with hundreds of users posting nonsense (most of them give two shits about bitcoin), that in many case do not even know english.... The fucking perfect storm!

I have no problem with anyone wearing a signature campaign for earning some extra bucks AS LONG as they don't force themselves to post shit just to "earn" more. I mean, I do shitpost too.. in some sense... but when I do it's just because that's what I really intend, and I really mean my shitpost, not just because someone is gonna pay me for it.

Last month I finally decided to investigate more about how that signature campaigns work and why they are so "popular" in the forum. Thus my thread at:

Listing of DT Ranking Pipeline / Signature Campaigns: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5212954.0

Also, some campaigns pay as much as a good SALARY in some countries, like the CHIPMIXER one... But at least they do heavily screen their participants and it is almost like a job selection process where only the very best participants can have an opportunity to join.

The problem with the Cryptotalk/Yobit campaign is that, in my opinion, they do pay too much for what they require in post quality thus the massive shitposting/spamming all over the forum.

Good thing is that here at the WO, we are mostly safe from that spam thanks to no signatures being displayed... which means signature campaigns do not pay for post here so the (paid) shitposters don't have any incentive to post here.

I haven't found anything new, but there was 582 participants on 21 November, 2019. There is no doubt that this is beyond any common sense for any campaign, and that result is huge number of shit-posters.

The problem with the Cryptotalk/Yobit campaign is that, in my opinion, they do pay too much for what they require in post quality thus the massive shitposting/spamming all over the forum.

Now is much better than before, imagine almost 600 participants post up to 20 posts per day. Although I have to admit that even with this reduced number, some parts of the forum are literally overwhelmed with YoShitPosters. However, what I see as a bigger problem is the fact that a very shady company is being promoted, with hundreds or even thousands of reports for scam.

Just hovering above 8k at the moment, be interesting to see which direction we move in next because it feels like a significant movement in either direction could be imminent.

signature campaigners

1 For some reason that escapes me, I didn't see your thread, I apologize. Roll Eyes

2 I would like to say the same as you, but I do not have the ability to speak for this language and it would not have been so well explained.

I think the same, there is no problem in carrying a signature, but they should not bomb the threads and respond with meaningless text.

You are not mate - soooooo annoying and its so crazy really - with all that "ethics" talk, reputation bla bla in this forum (that I LOVE), I just dont get why anyone is promoting that shit - there are even established members doing that... That cryptotalk forum is bad but okay... have a look at yobit though, the website alone... is a joke and looks like it can be coded by any hobby programmer in a matter of hours, lol.

I would just think, if you like it there, then be more on that other forum instead of here, maybe name it once or whatever, but keep promoting it  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

In here we are on Bitcointalk.org then just keep it bitcointalk.org ....

WAT?!?!  I've been posting to Bitcointalk.TO, Is that a problem???

kidding, I kid.

What exactly makes you feel this way?
I would want to see RSI flatten out a little more and also lower a wee bit, same with volume (as last time, yesterday).
Doesn't look interesting enough for a green dildo, doesn't look boring enough for a red one.

Bitcoin Halving.... Interesting..

Quote
Here are figures for $BTC's growth prior to its Halving and after it

Pre-Halving 1: +663%

Post-Halving 1: over 3400%

Pre-Halving 2: +383%

Post-Halving 2: +4080%

Most of #Bitcoin’s growth as a result of the Halving occurs after the Halving

On the bad side I just found out Neil Peart is dead. There goes my hero.

Yeah

Fell off the wagon last night and watched live concert vid till the wee hours.

When the era comes when rock and roll has shot its bolt and has become the domain of enthusiasts of obscura and academic musicologists I am pretty sure RUSH will be on the short list of bands that people have actually heard of.  It is something of an acquired taste, demanding much of the listener rather than spoonfeeding pap.  Not the most accessible, but with an undeniable brilliance and variety that will stand the test of time.

For me the thing that cements them as all timers is their manifest dedication to their craft.  RUSH shows were a spectacle rarely paralleled, and their effort to produce a true SHOW went above and beyond.  Many years ago they built a tractor trailer mobile power system that allowed them to take tours to remote Canadian towns lacking the infrastructure to otherwise support such endeavor.  In more recent decades they toured with more prepared material, props, staff, and interstitial video (their intro and break video productions are great by the way) than they needed.  Every night was different.  In short, they spent waaay more money on US than they had to.

While there was a rough period before Lee overcame his denial around aging and upped his vocal prep game, generally their level of preparation and production were truly first rate.

Peart, as most of you will know, was very much a drummers drummer, earning widespread respect among other practitioners of his craft for his accuracy, creativity and stamina, unquestionably one of the premier exponents of rock percussion we have yet seen.  It is rare that I wax poetic around the passing of a musician, but this guy was special.
