Well it is all about temperatures. I went from 384M to 387M -- noticed no temperature increase and my hash rate increased by about 4Mh/s on average.
I have really cold AC on the unit -- Output temperatures are no hotter than 59 degrees C on "Temp(Chip)."
Didn't notice an increase in HW errors -- although Chain #3 (5 HW) and #4 (22 HW) have always shown some over a 24 hour period. Another person had similar findings in another post.
The unit is quite impressive and the fan can get pretty quiet if the airflow and temperature is right.
I "rent" it on Nicehash when the price is at a certain level -- otherwise it defaults to a select alt coin pool where I mine a variety of alt coins. lol
Nicehash is the best option if you want to get paid in btc... What pool are you using to mine the alt coins and what PSU are you using for L3+?

I am new to mining and I have one of these l3+ miners on the way, due to arrive in September. Can I use this miner to mine another coin besides lite coin? And also can someone point me in the right direction as to where I can get an estimate of the profitability of mining litecoin vs other coins?

You can mine any coin that uses the Scrypt algorithm. So there are quite a few other coins that you will be able to mine.

I'm upset my wire transfer didn't go through in time, now all sold out. With a ROI of under a month, that hurts My wild a** guess is that the recent 2TH/s drop in LTC hash rate equates to the June shipment of 4K L3+'s. Of course they might not have been mining at all, or they might have continuously been shipping them out, or switching to another coin, etc.

I've done well with ProHashing as the primary and litecoinpool as the secondary. ProHashing lets you choose to be paid in any coin. I choose Bitcoin. Be warned that ProHashing has some stability problems (for example the server, including mining, was down this evening due to a storm, so they say). But even with wiggly uptime they still consistently beat Litecoin profitability by a significant margin (even with the 8% bonus that litecoinpool offers). I've seen an average of about $54 a day for a single L3+ for the last week. Of course it's been kind of an insane time for cryptos recently. Looks like we're in a correction now. If you want rock solid stability, then go with litecoinpool. It's amazingly reliable.

The L3+ has gone into and out of "sold out" status multiple times now. They are back in stock again for the Aug/Sept delivery. One more thing to note is that Bitmain is now accepting payment in LTC as well as BTC.

To mine Altcoins I use Hash-to-Coins -- as they don't try to convert the coins to BTC. You do the trading yourself. I have a Corsair AX1500i PSU for the unit. It has 10 PCIe ports. It is at maximum efficiency at about 750 watts / 115V. Works like a charm -- but pricey.

The latest firmware on the L3+ has an option to shut the unit down if it hits 80 degrees C. I believe you want to stay below that temperature if you want your unit to last.

How long can live L3+ on 80 degrees C ? what normal temerature for this module? Reliability? Can I mining about 6 month without shutdown? Thanks

Well, I have purchased a L3+ on their official website 3 days ago. I have done a wire transfer very quicly (2 hours after the purchase) because Bitmain clearly said that "if money wasn't transfered in 72h, the order will be cancelled".
The problem is now this one : I have ordered the Antminer L3+ 75 hours ago... and haven't received any additionnal mail from Bitmain. Moreover, I don't know why, but I can't access the same account page than yesterday... where I was able to see the order status. I'm kinda affraid!

Are you making $54 a day by just mining Litecoin or other altcoin? I'm waiting on 40+ units ... if I get anything close to what you are getting per unit then HAPPY DAYS!!! lol

The fact that they are accepting LTC puts a floor in the mid 20s. Now may be a nice time to accumulate with cash or not sell mining rewards.

Electricity isn't an issue However if I was to factor in electricity charges at 11.5p/kwH the return/profit is still excellent!!
