Lol? How does a 12-15 month ROI make Bitmain evil (or even greedy)? Any other investment opportunity with those types of quick returns would be killed for. Most people who like cryptocurrencies also like the idea of a free market - in which price is dictated by supply and demand. I would argue that Bitmain has been seriously underpricing their products for years or else there wouldn't be such a vibrant resale market and they wouldn't sell out so fast. Sounds like the opposite of evil to me. Perhaps we are the ones who are being greedy by seeking to enrich ourselves faster. There sure are a lot of rocks getting thrown in this glass house  

They started selling the L3+ for 1200usd and later raised the price to ~2k usd. Nothing changed about the technology they were selling or they didn't start shipping out faster. You know what changed? The price of ltc and the return made from mining it. So yes, they ARE greedy.

I'm curious if you would think better of them had they started at $3k and dropped to $2k. If so, then you have just identified the logical fallacy you're falling victim to. Rather than asking if $2k is the right balance between supply/demand, you are comparing an arbitrary value to another arbitrary value and then judging a for-profit company for having the audacity to make a profit. It sounds like people are just salty that they missed out on better pricing. I know I would be way happier with $1200/L3+, but I don't get upset with Bitmain for doing what they do. That would be silly.

Speaking as a serial entrepreneur, rule number one is that if one takes care of their customers, they'll take care of you.  Rule number two is start prices high and lower them.  I had excellent experience with Bitmain and my S3+s and C1s, but after that things seemed to go to shit.  Pre-orders, delays, price changes, mining with production equipment, obscure release times (here's a thought - how about a 5pm UTC+8 release for the China market, and something during the day for the rest of the world?  Or three releases - China, Europe, Americas? This ain't rocket surgery...).  Bitmain aside, the absolute scum of the so-called business world are the folks that sell accounts for almost the price of the miner they didn't buy, or the folks that buy something and sell it for more than double because they can.  Just because someone can come up with a flimsy excuse for poor behavior doesn't mean it instantly becomes good behavior.  Expecting a business to take care of the people paying them and keeping them in business shouldn't be a logic fallacy.

Do you think that people who bought cryptocurrencies at $x and sold at $2x are scum? How about brick and mortar stores that purchase from manufacturers in bulk and then sell to their customers? What makes that different from purchasing hardware and selling it for more? At least as an Amazon reseller we offer significant protections for the consumer, the ability to use credit cards, 30-day seller warranties (in addition to the manufacturer's warranty), reliable shipping without customs hassles or import fees, as well as TONS of support and assistance. We're taking the same huge risks as everyone here by purchasing hardware 2-3 months in advance, which everyone here knows is an eternity in crypto-land. Oh, and it's not always profitable either!

In my opinion bitmain cant have unlimited datacenter space and electricity they must have a saturation point to run their miners for their own use so they have to decide which miners to run and currently D3 is most profitable miner to run so they are clearing spaces of L3+ for D3 to run by themselves so i think that's why they are shipping L3+ ahead of time to clear their data centres and that could be a win win situation for both the miners and bitmain WAITING ANXIOUSLY FOR MY 10 L3+ MINERS due to ship on August 28 may be i will get them earlier.

Do you think it's possible to change for FedEx or DHL if i contact bitmain support ?

We're not talking about selling Grandma's Wedgewood, or someone's 2015 LTC, though, are we?  As for the rest - there are plenty of ways to try to spin or justify gouging, but at the end of the day it's easy to tell the folks that are working for the benefit of a community (cough...Sidehack...cough...for an example) and those that are just greedy opportunists.  The difference is the gap between reasonable profit and trying to bill the time doing nothing at $100/hour.  Anyone in business accepts the normal "businessman's risks" - one shouldn't seek a gold star for accepting credit cards or PayPal or shipping when those are requirements of the work.

If Bitmain wanted to support small miners, it would be worthwhile to make it easy for people to buy their products.  I've missed out on two purchase opportunities now and frankly, replacing my A2s with A4s is starting to look like a better idea than wasting more time in the L3+ hunger games.

If the items haven't yet shipped, Bitmain should be able to change carriers.  It doesn't hurt to ask via support.

Bitmain makes too many miners... Sadly there are too many of us wanting even more than the "too many" they already make.... No joke, just way more demand than supply.  And if they were to make enough to meet the demand the coins you would mine with them would be worthless.... Then there is no demand and Bitmain is left building miners for no customers, and their own mining operations also fold.

 Only Bitmain can answer that question for sure - but ONE BIG MINE putting in a big order could easily wipe out an entire batch.

 I'm still convinced the only reason Bitmain started making Scrypt and X11 miners is that they are finally seeing S9 unit sales slow down noticeably.

 BTW - at this point I'm estimating that the L3+ represents about 75% of all Scrypt hashrate (the A2/Titan/Alcheminer probably still own 12% or so, and I'd guess the A4 has managed to capture 13% or so).

 The "older miner" figure is pretty easy to figure, take the hashrate from before the L3 was announced, figure it's pretty much ALL still there as profitability exploded (and is STILL a ton higher) when Litecoin jumped, and the rest would be the share of the L3+ and A4 combined. Splitting the figures for THOSE two out is much more of a guess.

 If I have that share split figured correctly, Bitmain has sold ballpark 18000 L3+ units (well, perhaps 2000 L3 and 17000 L3+).

 If EVERY SINGLE MINER on Litecoin was a L3+ unit, that would be about 24000 units.
