My own view is Bitmain will continue to pump out L3+'s month to month till they again get to Bitmain's warm and fuzzy 12-15 month ROI again. (evil tm bitmain)

Lol? How does a 12-15 month ROI make Bitmain evil (or even greedy)? Any other investment opportunity with those types of quick returns would be killed for. Most people who like cryptocurrencies also like the idea of a free market - in which price is dictated by supply and demand. I would argue that Bitmain has been seriously underpricing their products for years or else there wouldn't be such a vibrant resale market and they wouldn't sell out so fast. Sounds like the opposite of evil to me. Perhaps we are the ones who are being greedy by seeking to enrich ourselves faster. There sure are a lot of rocks getting thrown in this glass house  Tongue

They started selling the L3+ for 1200usd and later raised the price to ~2k usd. Nothing changed about the technology they were selling or they didn't start shipping out faster. You know what changed? The price of ltc and the return made from mining it. So yes, they ARE greedy.

Well from my previous posts...it looks like NO L3+ units will be sold in the wee hours of China at our time of 4 am. (China Time 5pm CDT)

They seem??  to be only selling the Antminer D3 X11 miners then

Unless they drop the price again..it is unlikely I will get any..myself

anyway a heads up ..that I don't think the L3+'s are dumping on THAT day at least.

(the ways of bitmain are mysterious to me)

They sure love to keep us on our toes don't they?? Sometimes I find it fun, and other times I go insane. I still like them the best of all ASIC manufacturers.

I'm curious if you would think better of them had they started at $3k and dropped to $2k. If so, then you have just identified the logical fallacy you're falling victim to. Rather than asking if $2k is the right balance between supply/demand, you are comparing an arbitrary value to another arbitrary value and then judging a for-profit company for having the audacity to make a profit. It sounds like people are just salty that they missed out on better pricing. I know I would be way happier with $1200/L3+, but I don't get upset with Bitmain for doing what they do. That would be silly.

Search for Amitylabs on E-Bay.  I have 2 of their 2450W PS waiting for my L3+'s  I ran them on my R4's for a while, worked great.

I have created a support ticket through bitmain, but I don't expect any reply for awhile.

This order was only for a single PSU and L3+, the PSU is scheduled for delivery today but the miner still shows in China with the Export Documentation missing or incomplete message. I called UPS yesterday and they said it was scheduled for Import to USA yesterday and to reach out to the shipper to resolve the documentation issue.  Don't know what gives with this order, never had issues in the past. Guess I have to wait for UPS or bitmain to figure something out. Very annoying.

I am looking for advice on my latest order. I received notification my miner has shipped but UPS shows it is stuck in China due to "Missing or Incomplete Export Documents, they are working to obtain this information"

I have never had this issue before, but it has been awhile since ordering from bitmain.

Any idea what this means or any action I need to take to resolve?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

edit - I live in the US

I had that happen with mine.  I had to call UPS 4 times.

First they said that everything is fine.  Second call they said I had to provide a taxpayer ID number for the import.  Third call they said I had to pay an import brokerage fee of $18 per miner, but that they couldn't take my payment because that department was closed for the day.  Fourth call they took my payment, but when the driver showed up he still insisted on collecting the fee again (check only, no cash, no cards) before handing the packages over.  The whole mess took like 9 days.

Next order I'll use DHL for sure.

Thanks for the info.  I'm ok with the low pitched drum noise, but the high pitch fans really get to me for some reason.

I also received the same email from Bitmain.  I wasn't expecting my miners to ship until end of Aug/begin of Sept.  So this is a surprise.
