Transactions on bitcoins can be said to be safe because it can not know the identity of its users. This is beneficial to the criminal. So, bitcoin is used as payment in criminal activity. But it does not mean increasing the criminality. I think only transactions are turned into using bitcoins.

The relationship between criminality and bitcoin should be of advantage in the sense that bitcoin helps those underemployed and unemployed through giving additional income not of making criminality rate to the high extend. But if it is the case now, we should help bitcoin to surpassed the negativity effects by improving it's security feature.

Bitcoin has advantage and disadvantage, all of them depend on each user. I think because of bitcoin transaction can't be track, so it will give way for criminality works.

Every currency instrument has its gaps, the currency management is excellent, we need to control the trading floor, force the user to verify his identity, the account with the deposit flow Too big to be strictly controlled.

Not all criminal activities can be spread with Bitcoin. But we can agree with the use of Bitcoin, those who become ransom have increased their chances of not blowing them up. The same thing was said about the internet and now people use the internet more for legal business than crime. All technology has a "dark" side.
Those who use money as drugs, addictive, can use Bitcoin to keep it and not. However, nothing can be used for this, keep in mind that there is more time bigger and smaller for cash and virtual currency.

I do not think bitcoin encourage people to be criminal or increase its activity.  This criminal activity will still happen even if bitcoin does not exist.  One of the proof is the criminal activity that was recorded even before Bitcoin were created.  Criminals will use all possible means to do their illegal activities whether they are using Bitcoin or not.
...Exactly,that the criminal activities  are already exist before the bitcoin created. Actually,it depends of people whether he/she will make such kind of criminal activities by using any kinds of money. It's not the bitcoin's fault, but to the irresponsible people.  Just like us as individual that we should already know ourselves or the atittude if we are righteous or wicked.

Don't say that bitcoin is bad thing, the bad one is the criminal. They use this technology to transfer money untraceable, we can't stop criminal from doing illegal way and any technologies could used by them.

Apart from utilities such as fast, cost saving, virtual currency transactions are risky because of the complexity of being anonymous, unable to know who is holding the money. The transaction is complete traces no longer. So it's a gap to get criminals. It is also because of its anonymity that it facilitates tax evasion, illegal remittance, payment, financing of illegal transactions. The subjects can exchange the dong to the bitcoin and then through the electronic wallet to transfer money abroad at a glance without losing a fee. This method is convenient and much cheaper than bank transfer but can clean up traces quickly.

there is nothing in this world which have an advantage that those not also have a disadvantage, but what matters is that is the advantage surprising the disadvantage? YES it so in matters like this we don't have to be looking at that anymore, because even in the country which is consider as the most peaceful country still have some criminals in it.. bitcoin is not the first blockchain technology that have an advantage and also a disadvantage, so it will not also be the last. for me i already know that something like this will come up. this is nothing to talk about.

I think a lot of bad people who use bitcoin for example crime such as corruption results in money then exchanged with bitcoin and it's one of those crimes that also cause problematic bitcoin because they are bad people and that it should be destroyed.

Before bitcoin, there was crime, and there still will be crime. the fact that BTC has been used as a form of pay in the dark market doesn't make it responsible for crime, BTC can be used by anyone as it doesn't have regulations on use uses it an who shouldn't

https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

Bitcoin has the currency..the choice for cyber criminals
The decentralisation and anonymity are attractive to the criminals using this site.

I like to point out that before the introduction of the BTC, crime rate was at an all-time high world over. Taking the BTC away wouldn't curb crime in any way. Just to mention, isn't fiat money used for crime as well. If they are saying that the decentralized nature of the BTC makes it difficult for them to track crime sources, how much have they done to track crime sources carried out via fiat money? As a matter of fact, crime perpetrators can use any means to commit crime and not just the BTC. The BTC is a technology-based invention that is meant to improve the daily lives of humans, just as every other technological invention today. It is only unfortunate that people have chosen to use it the wrong way. The problem is not the BTC. It is the people. I think this point is just as detractive as every other reason that jealous people are giving against the BTC. Thanks for sharing though.

i doubt it.
criminal activities were happening even before bitcoin. for example the ransomware that everyone is talking about these days have been around a very long time before bitcoin was created!

and besides since bitcoin doesn't offer real anonymity it can not really help the criminals as much as things like hard cash helps them.

We can never associate criminality with bitcoin. It would be too harsh to say that there's criminality because of bitcoin. It is is just that criminals are using every possible ways to commit crime but we should not put the blame on bitcoin if there are instances that this can be used to do transactions.

It seems for every thing that becomes popular we are looking for something wrong in it.
I know about the illegal deal that have been happening around it because I was also offered to sell my bitcoin for them but it depends on the bitcoin owner if he will bite that just so he could take more.

With great value and anonymous bitcoin, this is a good opportunity for criminals to use bitcoin to carry out illegal activities such as money laundering, drug trafficking and gambling. Bitcoin conducts transactions primarily through the Internet. Bitcoin owners may be attacked by hackers

This news is likely to destroy the bitcoin to come. not the world's Internet crimes are already from the beginning of a lot more volatile. and most of the crime was born before the advent of the bitcoin into the world.

The same thing was said about the internet and now people use the internet more for legal business than crime. In those time technology has a "dark" side. Telephones are used to bad work and exploit people,so much  but most telephone calls are legit. Do we throw away all telephones, because a small percentage of people use it for crime? NO... The good will triumph in the end.

That is the reason why the government are afraid to fully legalize or accept it as a currency to their country because it might be added to the cause of doing illegal things because bitcoin is anonymous and it is untraceable so that is a very hard task for the government authorities if they want to know who are the people that are transacting or doing illegal stuffs.

btc works well for some criminals, nobody can deny that. it doesn't mean it also doesn't serve a lot of good too

Should we stop using bitcoin just because some people use it to do things that violate the rule of law, this is the only reason the government uses to ban the crypto currency. Maybe Bitcoin transactions are impenetrable and criminals use them to pay for their crimes but that is not a Bitcoin issue. The wrong person is not the bitcoin.
