What's really funny is you nailed it.

It's an Echo Chamber in this thread for these lost souls. They complain, complain, complain, but don't get refunds. I wonder what their angle is.

"Oh big bad Terrahash isn't giving refunds WHAAAA"

People have gotten refunds from BFL and I guarantee you that is 10x more difficult.

Basically they just need to vent because they feel they made a bad investment.

The constant whining and "what-ifs" do get rather tiresome even if I am earning badges.

Haha, most the custom hardware threads these days degrade quickly into nothing but useless noise. Sort of like a pack of yipping Chihuahua's.  Annoying, but never really doing anything but adding to the noise level.
Thanks for the ignore function.  Most of this thread looks like "This User is currently ignored"  Grin

I think Knightlife should try to pay TH another freindly visit to see how things are going? whats the plan B, C and D, should the chips never arrive or are devastatlingly late. Who and how and when would refunds be handled or issued out, or possible credits towards a new board design all together?  Who's chip batches did they group buy into exactly? since there is a massive list of all buyers for us all to see now. And how long can TH survive the wait themselves? are their pockets deep enough to sustain a long wait on the avalon chips,,,or to even push ahead with manufacturing a new board and chip design be it bitfury and so on? Just lots of questions that really should be addressed and answered soon for the sake of everyone that has had an interest in TH or still has orders on wait. Again I am not blaming TH for its demise here, as they are victims as well, of Yifu. But they also are still in possesion of hundreds of thousands of dollars perhaps, that are not investments in their company and cannot be treated and handled as such, nor can be squandered away with time. My goal from the beginning was for TH to become my main supplier for quality klondike boards made right here in the USA and hopefully a good future for all. I think its time for a realistic overview of the game plan going forward. We know what the one is now,,,just sit and wait. Soon we will have waited for nothing.

The end game is in sight for all of us "wanna be" miners anyways,,,, we will be a drop in the bucket,,,more like in the ocean soon. It will all be a waste of money, our moment is passing now faster then we all thought even 2 months ago. The big well funded operations will put just about everyone out of business in the asic world. Reality check time!

The small guy can mine and profit but he needs to get his miner on time, not two weeks too late - even two weeks is the difference between profitability and not as I posted earlier. The difficulty rise will level out at some point in another year as the ASIC tech present limiting returns. They will become cheaper and people will be purchasing them like they did gpus.

Except minimum order is 10 pieces and they only have 9 in stock, and they supply them by the ton.  It's just a typical Alibaba phishing expedition.

RIGHT!

Someone (in another thread) contacted that seller and offered to make a 100K piece order if they would send him a picture of a few of the chips taken with a picture of today's newspaper.  They couldn't produce one.

I did that.

They do NOT have any chips, and if they tell you they do, they are lying.

Tell them you want 1000 pieces and want to use Escow, they will tell you that they take Western Union and Bank Transfers only.

Ya think? lol any small asics 30-100gh probably wont make it to see a return, by the time you recoup your investment you might make a dollar a day...... A year from now, will be like owning 1 little 333 mh block erupter, right now. oh well, at this point it just all seems like a big waste of money, unless you can get a unit now in hand" that pumps 200-400 gh,,,maybe then see return and some profit afterwords, but for most its just a fantasy now. Ball parking here with the G/H a little, but sure im not to far off. Bottom line, We're screwed.

I often see this argument, and it makes no sense. If I buy 1 KncMiner Jupiter, and someone else buys 10 Jupiters, I make exactly 1/10th as much BTC as the guy who bought 10 Jupiters, so our ROI is exactly the same in percentage terms.

The only way the big miner has an advantage is if they can someone obtain hardware at a lower cost than the small miner, which is not currently the case with most ASIC hardware manufacturers.

BitSynCom, the company behind the 110nm chip, has been promising supplies for months, with significant delays. However, last week, it said it is now shipping 40,000 each day. Tens of thousands went to Zefir, a Swiss party who organized a group purchase. Bitmine CEO Giorgio Massarotto drove to Zefir to pick up between 37,500 and 40,000 chips over the weekend

Or zefir sold the chips so he can refund peoples money. I'm sure a lot of folks want out of his group buys due to the delays.
