Why people are holding Bitcoin?

People who hold bitcoin , because they wait until prices rise, after that bitcoin price rise ,then they will sell their bitcoin. Bitcoin itself has most likely the price will go up, and the level of price increases greater than the rate of decrease in price. I think those people who hold bitcoin, they are the people who think about the long term advantage.

Bitcoin hard fork was the splitting of bitcoin’s blockchain.
On Aug 1,2017 the hardfork was done and we got a new coin named Bitcoin Cash(BCH). Those who were holding bitcoins in their wallets and have access to their private keys got credited with same amount of BCH.Suppose, you had 1 BTC in your hardware wallet or any online wallet which supports BCH, you would have received 1 BCH as well.
Like, In Bittrex Exchange, if you stored your BTC you would have got BCH as well.
