I made an account for the first time specifically to get involved more in this coin, and to help new users such as myself. I have been mining from when the blockchain went live (with my humble home PC).

The amount of inane questions and general enquiry from the users is astounding. Yes, it's fantastic so many people are interested in this coin, but my god the amount of people asking "How I mine", "How I get my coins", "Scam scam scam" is bewildering. Does anyone do their own research these days? Alot of people expecting to get rich at the click of a button, if only things were so simple! I consider myself lucky I researched Monero and was able to quickly mine using the extensive information available.

This is the first ICO/Altcoin I have invested so much time into. Apathy and ignorance caused me to miss the bitcoin train, and I don't want that to happen again!

To those curious or new to the game:
- Yes, the price of ETN will drop significantly on wallet release. That's what happens when ICO buyers are able to sell at more than what they paid. A profit can be realised instantly by short-term investors (and miners). The price will dip below ICO level. Expect this to occur.
- Once the price has dipped, and is listed on more exchanges, buy orders for the coin will increase significantly. Long-term players looking to hold for the future will buy then. I (personally) have faith the coin will prosper due to its current popularity and large userbase. I will be purchasing more coin at this stage.
- What happens after this point is a mystery to all of us. The direction the development team and social media reach to encourage new users will help truly determine the worth of the coin. I look forward to seeing what happens and will remain optimistic.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I have some points:

1 - Ok, miners and expert people mined a lot and sold all their coins. The results is the big drop from the starting price (It's understandable)
2 - Let's consider the price going down to 0.005 - We would get a LOT of buyers at this price, which will make the chart rise again, right? Because most of the buyers and ICO investors bought at 0.01... I doub't there will be a big sell orders in less than this ICO price.
3 - If the price went down to 0.01 or 0.005, there will be not a worth price for miners nor ICO investors to open a lot of sell orders due the low price.

So... Let's wait for all the miners sell their coins, make their profits, wait for the big dump after people sell all their bonuses coins and we will get the real market value. Plus, there are a big number of investors waiting for this dump, so they can buy at low prices.

If I am wrong, correct me with valid arguments.

Thank you

Yes you are correct. I will buy back with the profit I made first day mining when it dumps.

You guys need to learn something. Mining will go on and on. The reward for every block is 7500 coins and there are 1440 blocks in day. That's 10M new coins everyday being dropped at the market. 10M at 1k satoshi is 100BTC per day. Even if they get the queen to support this shit, the queen will end up begging on the streets. LOL, price stability level 10 satoshi.

Yes, perfectly. But you are not considering that all these coins will be not mined for the same person. So... If you need to keep your computer turned ON for 24 hours to earn like - 300 coins. Still worth selling it at 0.005?

300 coins x 30 days = 9.000 ETN x 0.005 = $45 montly. Does it worth the effort?
Still to be considered that: + coins mined = + difficulty.

Just re-installed The electroneum app on my android device, and the app still says theres an update available,  and needs it to run....   But it's been freshly installed...  Should be up to date :-|

Tried uninstalling and re-installing and no luck.

For some reason it goes to the loginscreen though,  but when I try to login it says the Name and password is wrong...

Even though I've done the password Reset....

And when i try to get it to send the password reset email,  it just hangs on "requesting" forver and the email never shows up

Anyone else having these issues?

Yes it seems as though mobile and website are "down for maintenance" currently

I don't think people would sell for 10 satoshi unless difficulty drops a hell of a lot lol. Which i don't think it will. And ICO price was $0.01

I'm thinking 150-250 satoshi at least, until difficulty hits 20B+ range and block reward goes down.

Plus doesn't the block reward drop on this coin? And what about reward halving etc. Where is the emissions curve chart??

Just tried to update the mobile app and of course there's a problem with it as well now.

They send a verification code to enter but the line to enter the code into is only set up to accept numbers, the verification code they emailed me is 90% letters. How in the hell am I supposed to enter that code?

This is comical at this point

I got exactly the same thing. Tried to copy & paste the entire code and only the few numbers in the code were pasted.

Richard Ells:
Please bear with us we are currently working with Amazons team online. When we brought the system up and instantly got hit by a giant botnet.

We are integrating some Amazon systems and incorporating them into our code to automatically block these based on behaviour and a number of other factors.

We are working through the night, but it's looking very promising and we will have this live before we leave to get some sleep!

Again, my sincere apologies for these delays, we are victims of our own success. It is only because Electroneum has been the largest token sale in the history of token sales (by participants) that we have become such a target. We have plenty of budget, thanks to all the contributors, and we are applying some of those funds to help make a stable platform that we can use to open the world of cryptocurrencies to a brand new, mass audience.

Thanks again for your patience...

Richard

PS Remember - NOBODY has seen scale this size from an ICO type event.

Is that so? 2400h/s gives you 220 coins a day worth approx $15.

Largest Telegram group EVER
Largest contributor number ever!

Take a look at these stats of top 10 cryptocurrencies:

Ethereum 1.6 wallets in April 2017 (2m+ Oct 17 – no definite figure found)

Ripple wallets: 285,000 (Aug 2017) (max users 300k)

Litecoin 1.2m wallets (Oct 2017) https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-litecoin-addresses.html

NEM 43397 wallets (Oct 2017) https://nemnodes.org/richlist/ (max users 43397)

IOTA 22,245 wallets (August 2017) https://medium.com/@IngoFiedler_96862/iota-distribution-update-after-snapshot-from-08th-august-2017-21e92cf15eea

Electroneum 400,000 wallets (140,000+ holders of Electroneum - 120k contributors - over 20k miners)

We have already overtaken some of the top 10 coins by user number - and we haven't even fully launched!

Electroneum has an exciting future - thanks for sharing it!

That's all good. But answer these two questions.

1. Why did you allow miners to get the jump ahead of investors it should have been put on hold.
2. Why do they release updates/upgrades/change of password at midnight their time when they are tired and unable to work anymore?
