big SHOUT OUT for help. Have built 6 Mining Rigs prior to this one. Never had this issue.

Been struggling for 2 days with the ONDA B250 BTC-D8P MoBo Ver.1 MoBo. Ran all over Toronto to replace RAM and CPU. Sill not working.

Here's my set up:

MOBO : see above

PSU: CORSAIR HXi Series HX1200i 1200W 80 PLUS PLATINUM

CPU: Intel Core I3-7100 Kaby Lake Dual-Core Processor Socket LGA 1151, 3.9GHz

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Laptop Memory Model F4-2133C15S-4GRS

GPU's 1 x EVGA 1060 SC, and 7 x EVGA 1060 SCC

I plugged it in the way Phil mentioned so that i didn't short it. I even tried what worked for Storx ( pushing the CMOS button) when he had trouble getting his D1800 to post.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I have good news on these  if you want to use a server pc  and not an atx.

sidehack has a pcie  to molex break out board he built a while ago for risers.

it has  2  pcie on and 3  molex 4 pin out..

so 2 of them  and some molex to  sata adapters would let you use a server board with these.

as always, you're the man, Phil!~

I think I'll pass on the brown board though, I think the black w/6 pin just would be a safer bet.

Trying to get Amortec to drop from 1650 but doesn't look like he will Sad

on some better news...

here my first attempt on getting the Vega64 to work and get pass 2000h/s per GPU.

Using the 1100HBM registry power table hack.
Using the latest AMD Blockchain driver
Around 270watts - Colorful B250 riserless 8 slots, M2-128GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM, Celeron G3930 LGA1151 CPU, WIN10 and 40GB virtual memory.

Still need to get those watts lower - will need to finetune. "Geek Mark" was able to get his 6 x Vega64s at 1050watts

Guide

RX Vega 64 (or flashed 56) Registry Editor, Power Play Table and Devcon Tutorial!

Awesome! following this as well.

mind sharing where you got the Colorful B250 board from?

Have we lost all our funds now on NH?  Huh

Yes all nicehash funds are gone.

I'm not sure if that applies to "mined" funds, or just to the funds in the marketplace.

I'm figuring both, since they say their WALLET got emptied - but in theory they should be able to recompense folks for one or both over time.

Here's the rub...
It's not mined coins... as their stratum just relays you workunits from the purchaser's pool....... so nicehash sees nothing of the mining results.  Only on their own reward pools did you have a chance of reimbursement, but its complicated given their internal exchange system we dont know much about other than crappily designed with one wallet....

I myself wondered at how profitable it would be to throw the equivalent of ~10PH at trying to generate a private key for one of the first 500 blocks.........   That could be some sweet rewards.....

15,500 a freaking coin!

taking more profit today.

As for nicehash  had to be an inside job.

they use multiple signature addresses.

cashed-out today too -- getting ready for a major dip when futures trading comes online on Sunday night.

inside job.... or.... a disgruntled employee?
You think futures will crash BTC I see people on both sides of the fence? I'm guessing BTC will at least ride up until then // when you say you cashed out what'd you cash out into?

If anyone's interesting
This is a pretty opinionated piece and I could be totally wrong and get set back a lot in my progress with the moves I made. . so naturally I'm hoping they're the right ones xD

Is there a special trick to get the ONDA B250 BTC-D8P MoBo Ver.1 to work?

( Note: I'm getting the same symptoms Storx described on the 6 slot ONDA. I tried clicking the the button he used to resolve the issue. No luck)

Do I need to install a VGA driver or something else?

Is there an online manual ?( I couldn't find one of the ONDA website.)

Been struggling for 2 days with the ONDA B250 BTC-D8P MoBo Ver.1 MoBo. Ran all over Toronto to replace RAM and CPU. Sill not working.

MOBO : see above
PSU: CORSAIR HXi Series HX1200i 1200W 80 PLUS PLATINUM
CPU: Intel Core I3-7100 Kaby Lake Dual-Core Processor Socket LGA 1151, 3.9GHz
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Laptop Memory Model F4-2133C15S-4GRS
GPU's 1 x EVGA 1060 SC, and 7 x EVGA 1060 SCC

I plugged it in the way Phil mentioned so that i didn't short it. I even tried what worked for Storx ( pushing the CMOS button) when he had trouble getting his D1800 to post.

not sure if this will help.. have the onda B250 D8P ver 1. G4400, 8 gig ddr4 sodimm (g.skill ripjaw ddr4 2400), 128 gig msata. dual psus, mixed amd and nvidia, 6 cards total.

for initail setup: i booted with a single rx460 and got into the bios. in there i set the iGPU (to use the G4400 Pentium) as the primary video to use the hdmi port, then disconnected the 460 video (left the card in though) and rebooted. from there i installed win10. the iGPU came up as "microsoft basic vga" or something to that effect in device manager. then i let it search for drivers and it grabbed the intel driver from ms. from there is was a cakewalk, more or less.

the board does some sort of self discovery mode on initial boot and any boot after a cmos reset. in a bios reset i think it expects a card in the 1st slot (closest to cpu) and doesnt use teh iGPU (if any), its kinda of a weird board until you get it setup, then its fine. its actually rock solid for me. i like it, cards have good spacing and cooling is good with 3 noctua 140s each pushing 133 cfm at them.

EDIT: i have looked for documentation; cant find any Sad

Did you try using   the video, chipset and LAN drivers from Onda's page: www.onda.cn/MotherBoard_Supports.aspx?id=373

does it post ? I had one board i thoiugh was bad but it was a CPU with bent pins

it does have one dead PCI-e slot but i can live with that.  I have a 10 card 1060 board working with this board and its great.

you should be able to install the OS with just the IGPU and add cards later , thats how i did it at least

I used a kaby lake i3 for one and a kaby lake i7 for the other board

But the hash you put into an algo is PAID FOR by Nicehash via their marketplace - you don't actually mine any coins directly - so if their wallet is empty there's a high probability it WILL affect any payouts a miner had earned but not gotten paid for yet.
Only way it would not is if they reimburse the miners, NOT just folks that had cash in the wallet for use in the marketplace to BUY hash.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Hey Guys - What pool can you recommend for ONE Avalon 741 - ZPOOL.CA seems to not be very profitable.

Any and all advice is appreciated!
