This was happened to me last year. What I did is every night I read books, my eyes can easily feel to sleep if I can read 10-20 pages or maybe you should avoid gadgets this also can help you sleep early. Just a friendly reminder REST is one of the best doctor in the earth.

When I can not sleep, I drink black tea or mint tea, I put on the TV and it's almost instantaneous that I end up sleeping, try it.

indeed this is very disturbing to us, especially after being tired of daily activities. can you possibly take sleeping pills or consult a doctor about your problem. or make yourself more relaxed and calm when approaching bedtime, not doing anything serious or making you tense so as not to have trouble sleeping.
