They didn’t “lose” the domain. It’s got a “clienthold” suspension which can be resolved. The site is still running on the old server but without the the domain pointing to it on DNS. If this was an exit scam it would be over already. There’s absolutely ZERO reason to keep updating news. This isn’t the 1800’s. Theyre not robbing a fucking train. Doesn’t require weeks to steal crypto. All it takes a script to execute. POOF coins gone. Devs in the Caribbean sailing away on a yacht full of cocaine. CM is coming back.

They may aswell just revert back to the old site and forget about upgrading their servers! Because nobody in their right mind would use CM again! Infact they could probably downgrade to save on costs!

My new theory is they are going to scam and hodl for a few months until new exchanges are found for all the coins, then they will transfer and sell

Then why they keep wallets connected to the server?

either so they can keep earning stake rewards or to keep up appearances

Didnt the feds go get Big Vern(cryptsy) from China?

Basically, when we look at current situation:
 - Initial problem was with servers
 - Servers were ordered and delivered (as per previous claims on CM website)
 - For some reason CM didn't manage to build new servers (if they really had to order those and placed order)
 - So, for around week and a half they run out of ideas how to lie to people. Silence in communication.
 - Now we have domain issue as "some bad users" reported situation to Gandi as CM said.

It looks like they buying time and waiting for situation to dissolve as I pointed out previously.

If servers have arrived (as per earlier claims from CM) nothing stops them from building them
If domain is controlled by Gandi, nothing stops CM from registering any domain and running services under any domain (example CMassholes.com)
If some web services have hard-coded coinsmarkets.com domain, nothing stops them from configuring servers to properly map domain name to IP.

So, why servers are not up yet and they using any excuse not to resume services?
I think because they scam and buying more time.

Also, claim that hosting told them to move... well.... why servers are still up and running?
For 2 weeks they didn't manage to find new hosting? Really?
Nforce, which suppose to boot them out also didn't shutdown servers? Very strange.

Another interesting point here is that comments in news on CM website always refer to most recent situation which is hottest in discussions, so they definitely reading all information.
I would even suspect that they spinning some topics to have point of reference and "excuse" why they can't do anything.

For 3 weeks team of 10-2 people is so dis-functional that couldn't rebuild servers.
On the other hand it was enough time to hire specialists to do that job.
If they afraid of data confidentiality, they can sit with technician fixing servers and look at his hands.

Basically whoever speaks Dutch, should report situation to authorities.
That way police will go to Nforce and secure servers, which would give a bit of a chance to reclaim coins.
It would take time as we know authorities are slow, but also would stop CM from proceeding with their lies.

EDIT PS. One thing I forgot and another post reminded... removal of withdrawal.php. Does it really look honest and indicates a failure or intentional action to prevent people from withdrawing their money?

Our local grocery shop operated more professional than coinsmarkets.

Quote
Please understand that in exchange you can't just go and hire someone and trust him millions of dollars .

But owner of CM wants from his customers they should trust him for millions of dollars. All they need put withdrawal.php for their customers if they are serious!! They will lost lots of customers because of long delay, if they are back.

Maybe hosting and domain registrar should force them to putting withdrawal.php

Maybe hosting and domain registrar should force them to putting withdrawal.php

according to them, hosting wanted them move, not not allow withdrawals
realistically,  only criminal investigation could force them to restore site. But I don't know if it will be opened

We've seen that information yesterday on CM website.
It is absolute rubbish. If they have servers procured (as stated weeks back) what is the problem to restore services, even if they have to provision temporary domain?
Cost of domain is not a show stopper at all.

CM is just buying more time putting blame on frustrated users. Typical blame game for cheaters.

Besides, if CM wouldn't put fake details about owner of the domain there would be no problem right?
As they placed fictional character and fake address of their operations, here you go.

Only Cm can be blamed for that. This domain lock could happen at any time when someone would identify fake data in whois.
none from users is to be blamed for that... only CM.

If they really wanted to resolve the situation they would have by now.  People should file suit.

All this rubbish around domain is also in my opinion for distraction.
Nforce didn't turn off servers by the look of it, if they can publish updates in news section.
What is the problem to buy any domain and resume services while fixing issue with old domain?
All this fuss with some petitions.. WTF is that about? Cheesy
At this point doesn't matter how domain is named, right?
Unless domain barking is for distraction caused by CM to drag situation further.
yes these are all distractions

As the lawsuit can help us in this situation? Lawyers will block all funds.

I have been optimistic for a very long time since CM first stopped operations but I am losing my hope now. It seems now that they are just buying time ..  Angry Good bye, my coins.

No doubts it is only game to buy time and wait for situation to dissolve.

Best would be to report them to authorities in Netherlands, so servers will be seized.
That is the only chance (very small one) to recover coins at some point in future.

Roll Eyes So you report this as a scam to authorities and guess what happens? The owners can't fix this because they are investigated

If the coinsmarkets team wanted to steal you'd have never seen that coming and they would be gone forever. The FACT is they are trying to sort this but STUPID people are reporting this as a crime through every channel and pretty much destroying the chances of CM getting back up and running.

Every report of FRAUD, CRIME or SCAM is massive block to progress being made. Just think about that Huh
