Hey everyone
I was mining just for fun when in 2013/14 mining with a gpu was still viable. Since that day im wondering if it is too late to get involved in bitcoin even though I stopped thinking about it for a few years since I was about 15 years old with different things on my mind. Just recently I began wondering again: Is it too late to get involved in bitcoin? After the price blew up in 2014 I asked me the same thing and thought the hype is over and I am just too late. Even if bitcoin is a bubble and each bitcoin is overvalued who can safely tell when the bubble is going to pop if it ever will? I just think this is an awesome project with an equally awesome community despite the weird things in the altcoin section that tend to become more and more popular due to "weird" people picking up on the bitcoin hype caused by media and the increased internet awareness. Im talking about projects like "bigboobscoin" which is topped by some emojis in the title. Since I came along this project I want to own one of the 21M bitcoins to ever be created. In addition bitcoin has something magical to it which I cant put in words but the fact that satoshi never got identified gives me this feeling of a revolution of currency with the right intension. He never pulled out his round about 1 million btc. Well who knows maybe Satoshi is dead by now and his btc will never be touched. Bitcoin came out of the mind of a genious and is so much more worth than only "going to the moon".

Im just wondering if bitcoin and its community still got the same spirit or have the weird people and rich investors overtaken to ruin this project by treating it like a pump and dump shitcoin without a soul?
I hope my english is good enough to make you understand my thoughts and feelings.

Have a nice day.

For me it's not too late to get involved into bitcoin because you can earn to it even you are late. Even if the price of it are higher than the past it means that you are late because if the price of it are high so what if on the future it can be 8000$ so my opinion is get involve now or join now before its gone.

there is nothing too late engaging on btc investment as long as you have the guts to take risk of either havinf profit of thousand bucks or losing. Well btc price now might be too huge compare when its just starting but who knows it may multiply hundred folds more.

Not too late. Although the price might seem high today, imagine you bought in at $7.5k and it goes up to $25k, you'd definitely be glad you invested!

Even now, bitcoin is still rising more and more despite they drop drastically yesterday, bitcoin still have the greatest influence to me and to investors no matter how low they drop, and it is predicted to rise more than 10000 at next year, so it will never too late to invest in bitcoin now.

Its not too late, and I don't think bitcoin is really a bubble. First, its not yet to late to mine because there arr still 5 million bitcoin available supply. And even you get smaller volume, the value is still proportion from early mining. Bitcoin will surely continue to rise because people are demanding and supply ia decreasing. Second, bitcoin is unpredictable but never a bubble, it will get lower price and drop but it will not instantly crash. Bitcoin is already established and people are eyeing iit so much.

I would say that, in terms of investment, it is still an early stage of investment in bitcoin.Although the current price of bitcoin is as high as $7,300, I think the future will definitely exceed $20,000.Time will tell.

It is not yet too late for you to be involve in bitcoin, if you are thinking it is because bitcoin is already out of your league then you are wrong, as long as the price is increasing, you could never say to your self that it is too late for you to be involve in bitcoin, honestly, if you are going to start again right now and stop discouraging yourself, then you will realize that you still have a chance to earn big and be benefited by bitcoin.

It's not the same spirit as it was. I started with Dogecoin and back then people complained that Bitcoin community is not as nice as it was in the early days.
But it's normal. The community got bigger and more careful ... against anything that could happen.
While this could sound bad, it's not. The community is still good, still helpful, if you know how to ignore the "extra" (the "junk"/"spam"). You'll have to watch more carefully your steps, there are much more that just want to steal your money. Most of the bad comes from some people that want to scam/get easy money, not from "rich investors".

All in all, it's an evolution. Bitcoin still worth to come in. It's an interesting world, there are interesting projects developed now and then, the community still grows fast.
So it depends on your hopes and expectations, but imho it still worth to join in.

And as others said, if you don't want to invest the time, at least as investment Bitcoin still looks great.

We still have some Bitcoiners with bigger dreams for this currency/commodity than just making profits. I think once the

scaling solutions are done, we might see a new revolution on a much bigger scale. People will be able to use their favourite

currency for cheap global micro payments. A lot of the unbanked people of this world, will use Bitcoin for international micro

payments for services and goods rendered on decentralized market places like OpenBazaar.  Grin

None of these late words is just the beginning of the bitcoin that will continue to rise, but the high bitcoin price so people can not afford it, if buying now and dare to invest can be very useful in the next 3 years. and will make you rich.

Is never too late, today the price can be "high", because i remember when the price was $500
But try to imagine that now bitcoin price is 7000$ and in the next year can be 15.000$ , so i think that is not too late
And already remember that is it an investment with risk Wink

Yes i agree.Bitcoin price right now may seem to be irresistible and expensive but when it comes to be involving in bitcoin,no one is considered to be too late. There's always a room for beginners or newbies. And these newbies who will work harder too will soon be considered hero and legendary in their own,and will soon be rise as the new elite people in the bitcoin community.

Nearly 30% of people know Crypto Currencies. Let's say 60% but the others there are just heard, watched and do not actually invest, try it. So I think you're not too late. Because many people do not know it. You will definitely earn money here especially if it is wise and easy to understand things that are contained in the world of crypto /

Im just wondering if bitcoin and its community still got the same spirit or have the weird people and rich investors overtaken to ruin this project by treating it like a pump and dump shitcoin without a soul?

I've been in the community for almost 2 years, and while we still have issues within the community where some members decided to follow individuals and other groups to start an all-out war against Bitcoin (just look at the next hard fork), the community is a lot stronger and bigger than what it was years ago.

But there's still people outside the community with malicious intent to manipulate the markets, and this is something that we're gonna have to deal with for a long time, espcially in the bitcoin community. For instance, last week the CME group announced that they're going to launch Bitcoin futures, and while the news about this could've help to pump the price, personally i didn't like this announcement. They'll be able to create a tool to suppress the price by robbing buying liquidity from actual bitcoin. So, there's still many people who want to ruin the project.

And to answer your first question, it's never too late to get involved in Bitcoins.

Nah, it is still not too late to get involved with BTC. I will say get in now and don’t regret later on. Although at this time, you can’t be the super early BTC adopter but at least you are faster than the rest of the people who get in few years later.

I don't think it's too late. There is a possibility that bitcoin value would skyrocket at December due to hardforks. I would suggest taking in bitcoins asap.
