The fact that you are here, posting, shows you care... (As we all do.)

Wives are so overrated... Trade her like a coin... Cryptsy takes wives... it's the top traded item... The letters are BCH... (Just kidding, I just couldn't resist. I like wives. I buy them drinks all the time!)

Seriously though... If you still have some coins left, and some time to invest... Are you willing to contribute to the coins value, other than offering it to other investors at a great discount?

OK, I am working on a generic website... Just so there is something to show.

For now, I will ignore the name of the coin, and just host the site on one of my existing names...

Any opinions on which name to list the information at?

I own the following...
WamPow.com
Dabify.com
MYeLIST.com
Curbay.com
PlanetEnine.com

If there are no opinions, I will throw it up on www.MYeLIST.com I guess... For now, I must get some sleep.

I know alot of them are very bad, just throwing some ideas out of my head.  Lol, I wish I hadn't wasted the Nuggets name on Vlad.

hey hey there slow down....

i'm posting here because i'm annoying and i'm right

i'm a more brief version of Anonymint  with a less confused view of the world, and a more confused view of coding.

if Anony ever actually does anything we surely need to work together no ?

"Capcurrency" or "Cap Currency" is an experiment in the resilience of a DAC.

I will make a bet , it still exists in the future.

New name proposal:

   Cappuccino

This give the feel of something common (reason why some seems to like bottlecaps), while not being cheap.

As a bonus, font-awesome (used widely by web developers) has already a clean and simple coffee symbol in it ( http://fontawesome.io/icon/coffee/ ). This may facilitate consistency and integration in web sites later. That is, a price followed by this coffee cup icon would be the branding for cappuccino coins.

(Not pushing for a change, just adding a proposal on the table in case there is a poll)

Edit: I did fix the spelling of cappuccino

I like cappuccino... A big swirled cup of joe/java/coffee as the logo... seems real "euro modern", like two-bucks.. um.. I mean star-bucks...

Also sounds kind-of fun... (I like the imagery of espresso too... tiny glass of HELL YEA!)

But I think Cappuccino has a more unique unused potential to the name, like bottlecaps was intended to be.

Ok, I am awake now, but I have to go to work for a few hours... Retirement isn't all it is cracked-up to be.

I will get started on a generic site, and some ghetto variations, tonight... both as Bottlecaps and Cappuccino, since I like that name the more I say it. It's easier to swallow than bottlecaps too. I'll sell Coffee-grounds for Cap coins, to promote it, at a loss to me.

Cappuccino's: The coin that keeps you wide awake, keeps you up at night, is sure to rise with the sun, keeps you warm all winter mining, and is faster to make than Espresso!

Just a side note, CAP's on the rise on cryptsy... Guess everyone stopped looking at BTC enough to see that it was smart to grab them while the value is low, which will drive the price up, making their purchase of low-valued coins a wise investment. I hoped it would stay low for another two weeks, when I get my next paycheck... but hey, time for the devil to rise, I guess!

I'm still on the no side to name change but Cyberdymes and Cappuccinos are both great names if it comes to that.

I'm still on the no side to name change but Cyberdymes and Cappuccinos are both great names if it comes to that.

Ouch, I finally just saw, first hand, the power of a name... I just got mocked-out of a trade chat, for offering to buy CAP coins, which I just had to explain was bottlecaps... But I guess there is something there to the name, that seems to urk people or degrade the seriousness of the coin.

Yet they openly trade "CopperLark" and "MinCoin" and "DevCoins"... (I didn't realize devcoins still existed. lol. Though I saw them listed.)

Well, their loss, I just offered them $2 on the $1 for any CAP they wanted to pick-up or sell... I'll wait to see if anyone else likes the idea of Cappuccino's as a name, before I start pushing the coin again. I don't want them remembering a name that isn't going to exist in the future, if it does get changed... But the existing name now, doesn't seem to have much actual branding except to those holding the coin. (Unfortunately, those holding are not making themselves money or adding any actual value, they just want it done for them, it seems. That is not towards any of us actually doing work. We can make the reward all our own, by doing this off-exchange. But doing it on exchange will work for all.)

Ok, headed out the door now, back in a few hours...

Only bad thing about naming them after a food type is they kind of get typecasted.  Much like BBQ Coins.  I have only seen a few BBQ restaurants and BBQ Sauce vendors take that coin.  And I don't think the coin is taken serious because of that.

Which is why I'm glad I got out -- this community clearly lacks basic branding concepts. It's a currency -- not a game. It will never exist as a currency that is taken seriously with the name "BottleCaps."

Yes, I realize a pump is in progress right now; surely, it has to do with this thread -- BottleCaps have gone nowhere but down for a month and I lost 90% of my investment which I made under the impression that the name would be changed. This is the first time that a community killed my investment in a mutual interest...but altcoins never fail to surprise and I learned a (fairly cheap) lesson.

Too many options out there to waste time, energy, and money here. Hopefully you guys wise up and turn things around -- I love to see altcoins succeed even if I'm not on the boat (especially coins like BottleCaps that weren't just designed to make the dev rich.) It's sad to see a quality, fair coin suffer because of something so trivial...and sadder yet to see how many people would rather go down with the ship than bring logic into the equation. I love everything about BottleCaps except for the name and the numerous naive members of the community that got in the way of a swift re-brand where everybody would have won.

One thing to remember...

This is by my observations of trades. CAP coins are being held the longest. (Compared to crap coins, that are all sold ASAP with every BTC move.) Thus, only those few short-sellers are listing to get rid of them for the rising BTC. Funny thing is, they are devaluing the coin 10x to get the 2x gain on BTC. Thus, morons. lol.

Not to mention, this is the ONLY client I quickly get 15+ connections to.. thus, a lot of people are "POSing" the investments, not mining.

I have swiped up 48,000 coins at a steal, on cryptsy. This lowered the loss from my 27,000 I purchased when the coins were high. Now my average coin price is 0.000045 as opposed to the 0.00015 I paid for the initial 27,000 coins. Not including all that I am continually mining, to keep out of the hands of short-sellers. I keep buying every short-sale I can. (BTC I earned from trading and investing in mcxNOW and mcxFEE-shares.)

I'm not sure you know what short-selling actually means.
A short sale is one where you offer to sell something you don't actually own, with a future delivery date.
A short seller is betting that the price will go down, so that when they have to deliver, they can buy on the open market at a price lower than they have agreed to sell for.
Cryptsy does not support short-selling, you can only sell coins you actually have.

Agreed. I put my thinking cap on.  Grin

A new name;

(1) Must associate value and worth in this increasingly competitive market.

(2) Should not detract to much from the original theme / name to remain recognizable.

(3) Should incorporate the PoS 'savings' aspect over time.

GoldenCAPs ?

CAPs as in - Capsule - a Time Capsule.

I think this is a workable name and introduces a more marketable concept.

Also thinking about digital gold i.e. DigitalCaps, or just DigiCAPs ? TimeCAPs ? eCAPs ?

Anything that is used in the real world besides stuff that is of high value (diamonds, gold and so on), should not be used in the name.

I'm not the one making any decision, just suggesting alternatives.

I wouldn't recommend changing the CAP currency symbol at this stage though.

I agree that metal is now overdone for cryptos, and the few good ones are taken.

I also agree that BBQ was not a good name. It feels low class and redneck (and yes, I do like BBQ).

... but I would not generalize that all food names are to be avoided.

As an example, Apple kept feeling to me like "Newton", "education" and "good for you" in its early days. People may feel differently about it today... but hopefully you know what I mean.
