New thread here:

Self-Moderated, LOL!

So they can delete my comment about advertising 800GH/s, but only working at 730GH/s.

We are alpha testers for a product they are now finishing up and with those lessons learned, sell on to future customers

Yes, HF used us to fund and test their ASIC.

They have done nothing to live up their promises and leave us with buggy hardware while ckolivas has done a ton of work to improve it and an update should have been pushed out weeks ago. Not a word on their MPP. HF prefers to just ignore us and leave this thread to die.

@Simon Barber - I am really disappointed in you. We met early 2013 at a Bitcoin meetup and you won my trust and my business. On the hardware side I applaud the ASIC you have developed but on the business side you guys have proven yourselves to be no better or worse then BFL. You have done the Bitcoin community a disservice by pushing what remained of the individual miners out of the space.

No, that's inevitable.

What they've done is worse: they've done the bitcoin community a disservice by being yet another TERRIBLY run company in the bitcoin space. It gives the entire movement a bad name. The level of professionalism, transparency, etc, in bitcoin overall is indeed rising, but HashFast has been a throwback to gen-1 companies that lie, fail to meet promises, don't communicate, have terrible to non-existent customer support, and shamelessly pump their product and new offerings while existing customers ready the pitchforks (how are those lawsuits going, guys?).

Seriously - HashFast is an embarrassment to bitcoin.

I've never been treated as badly by a company as I have by Hashfast.

Bitcoin is the first monetary system to credibly offer perfect information to all economic participants.

Can you show the chip working at 800 GH/s?
Sure, just lend me a tank of Novec.   Tongue

Since the chip is already doing 750GH/s with liquid cooling, isn't 800GH/s obviously possible given better heat removal?

wow. just wow. Give me a tank of novec and i bet i can take an antminer up to 220GH
actually, maybe I will just send one up into space where the temperature is nearing absolute zero - You guys should consider that possibility and rate this as "up to 1000GH!"

The specs are what is called 'below the fold' - you need to scroll down and depending on your monitor size many customers will not even realize it is there.

This is what the average customer sees:

Deceptive. Just because you have been able to push it to 800 for a minute in a lab using liquid nitrogen cooling or something else exotic does not mean you should give customers the impression they will be able to run at that specification. Just be honest with your customers. Don't act like a slimy car salesman.

Thanks for the feedback.

The "average customer" isn't in the market for $19,000 worth of raw boards intended for assembly into DIY miners, but is still capable of understanding the commonly used common phrase "up to."

And no one (not even your theoretical "average customer") is going to spend $19,000 without bothering to scroll down slightly to finish reading a very short product description.

The "improved cooling" HashFast refers to isn't necessarily immersion, much less liquid nitrogen.  Maybe you still think liquid cooling is "exotic" but it's actually been mainstream for several years, and many off-the-shelf kits/components are widely available from several manufacturers at a variety of price/performance points.

The chip is running at 750GH/s.  That's a world record!  Having a chip that runs 50% faster than the nearest competitor is a big deal, especially given the rapidly rising rate of mining difficulty.

I don't like the tone HashLast_CL is using towards their investors.
Basically he is saying "Go fuck yourself, you don't know liquid cooling is already mainstream for several years?"
So you think us dumb, having throwing money towards you.
Maybe it will tone you down if we start to stop throwing money to you.

Many of us already stopped....  I starting buying antminers after it was clear HF would not be delivering.. I have mined over 50btc since Jan31.

bitmain will send you an asic device less then 2 days after ordering.. and be at your door in under a week......  They aint sexxy, but they run flawlessly.. and they run NOW. as opposed to some vapor date in the future.....

HashFast would have millions of dollars of orders if they had something in stock... Dont Pre-Order people....  just stop preordering and these companies will try their hardest to get stuff in stock!!

Looks like even the exceptionally patient among us have had enough of the Hashfast run around...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497737.msg5475462

and it made it to the front page of /r/bitcoin on reddit...

Which speaks a lot about their underlying core values when it comes to Bitcoin: they have none. Just want profit in USD/other fiat.

Pathetic.

But they hold the bitcoin you send them... Cheesy

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

Yeah you are assuming they kept it and did not sell it at the time you sent it to them. If they sold it it means they lied about not requiring our funds to complete the project.

Yeah, anyways, the saga continues.

You making any progress on the legal front?
