Do the eight chip Drillbit boards have any provisions for hardware and software temperature monitoring?  What are the safe  operating temp thermal specs on the boards?
I'm also interested in the answers to these questions.

Hurah my Thumb just arrived.

Sadly however I cannot get ZAdig to see it and when I plug it in their is a slightly audible pop sound.

Any thoughts anyone?

Ok forget that a change of USB port resolved the issue.... OH well ;-)

Marc

Great. This means we have touchdown in the U.K.  Grin Everyone one else should be getting those thumbs really soon!

Did you have any import tax notices with the usb drives monsieurmarc ?

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you give us the shipping order for US orders and your plan for testing?

bob are you taking all us orders in a bid to try and get around import tax ? im just curious.

I did say several weeks ago Id be happy to accept UK orders and ship them on from there, if it allows us to bypass the import tax.

Is barn sending some paperwork with the units to say they are prototypes etc ?

Barntech, are the 8 boards comming back to you for shipping ( non us orders ) ?

regards

Not get around, But to simplify logistics (Easier for me to send out 100+ US packages than Barn) and much much faster. We are looking at monday delivery as long as I can get them out by Friday at noon.

I will see what the paperwork says when I get it... but its different for me, all gets billed/invoiced to my Company's Account.

All non-us boards are going to Barn as far as I know.

All US orders will be Tested and Shipped either by speadsheet order (When I get that from Barn finished) or alphabetical. I plan on testing @ shipping all on the same day, but If I do not all boards will be delivered monday baring that I get them to UPS by noon friday.

May I recommend checking out USPS Express for shipping prices? At least then most of us have the possibility of receiving on Saturday still instead of Monday? Plus you get free boxes for shipping.

USPS Express would not only be more expensive, but slower. Thursday is a mail holiday for all carriers, so all shipments are going to be delayed because of that. Even If I select saturday delivery with UPS, no packages would be delivered till Monday.

Well, looks like mine will be sitting around waiting for me for a week. Sigh. Guess I shouldn't have paid for express shipping after all.

Did I help you out, or otherwise say something useful? A handful of satoshis are a great way to say thanks! - Address: 18JUKdmE1Satf8HJUU3pf7iu5ymQX8AzER

Using their flat rate boxes it would, but looking at both sites from MO to WI with a 1 pound package UPS 2nd Day is $25 and delivered Tuesday. USPS Express using  non-flat rate paying at the place is $28 or online label printing is $20 and I would receive Monday. These are both shipping out Friday.

Shouldn't be a problem unless you didn't cash out some bitcoins recently. Even the last board I bought is worth twice or more as much in barntechs and your hands.

If we followed bitcoin prices and added more product  to the buyer as value went up you'd have alot more product to deal with and I'd have a full board set.

p.s you can always give me some cheepy's with batch 3 when that comes along if you have too much money lying around ;P.

Like the info address for potential tips Wink

I have a couple of questions I haven't found any answers to.  I asked a couple times on the other forum, but never got a response.  Maybe I should have started a new thread to ask.

Do the eight chip Drillbit boards have any provisions for hardware and software temperature monitoring?  What are the safe  operating temp thermal specs on the boards?

On a side note...I am a Linux noob.  Could some one help me out by posting a quick guide on how to build the Drillbit modified cgminer source on a rpi with raspbian wheezy?  I've tried doing it the way I do with the main branch, but haven't had any luck getting it to work.

Thanks!

Chad

Not sure exactly what to do with the RPi port, but you might get a better response on http://drillbitsystem.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0

Either that or sit tight and hope Kano and ckolivas put it in the next version of CGMiner ASAP.
