Positive news for Kraken users in Japan-  Kraken has relaunched its Crypto trading as part of Asian Pacific expansion. 

Kraken was pulled from the country 2 years ago so anyone living in Japan now has another option when trading their Crypto.

I was holding 1 Bitcoin forever and 0,5 XBT is gone. It equals to $12,000 just for now but I will lose $50,000 when Bitcoin reach to $100,000.

I've seen Kraken recovered a customer's coins.

We are making an exception for his case, out of courtesy, just because we think it is a substantial amount of funds.

CAD book value seems to be lagging the USD value on Kraken by CAD $1500 presently.  Earlier today it was closer to CAD $2000 difference.  This doesn't make sense - there are certainly arbitrage bots out there and this a significant difference.  This is low-hanging fruit - sweet fruit!  How can it hang there all day?  Is it because there are no other exchanges dealing in CAD?

If you're speaking about Point Roberts, I have but I'm wondering about arbitrage rather than portage.

Yeah I saw the withdrawal fee reduction, very welcome.

Still it would be great (for other exchanges too) if we could set it up ourselves (low if not in a rush, for example), or if it would be adapted to current mempool state.

Say what you want about Kraken, but you have to admit they are consistent. Market moves by more than 10%, Kraken servers die. Every. Single. Time.

Probably is a problem of the instant function, i'm using the advance trade feature (reachable from trade.kraken.com) and in the last week in every high or down i bought or sold without any problem also in the moments where the market was in real fire, with a lot of transactions every second.

On February 22, on Kraken, ETH price briefly fell from $1,700 to $700

The head of the exchange, Jess Powell, wrote that the fall in prices was caused by strong selling pressure. He also urged users not to trade with leverage if they do not understand the associated risks.

According to New Money Review, the company decided to reimburse the affected users.  The amount of compensation will vary from 5% to 50% of the lost amount.

Powell wrote on February 26 that the company would "shell out money out of its own pocket" to maintain its customer base.
