There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

BA has stated to me that they will ship out orders of ordering/payment. If this user has order #576 there are a lot of people on here (including myself) who are order numbers a lot less than this who have heard nothing so I am confused.

BA.. are orders sent out in Order or Payment/Ordering? and if so why was Order #576 send before all the rest (or is this user not telling the truth?)

Bobsag3 what purpose does the usb port serve ?

Wifi, Firmware Upgrades etc... USB is pretty much standard on every board out there now days, might as well put them on for future use. Who knows they might release a future miners that are USB only and can be ran off of the X1.

Anyone know if Touch screen will be available for upgrade in the future if you receive a Rpi version?

He's not trolling, BA has come on the forums, said the problem they have and offered to pay anyone who could solve it. You said that it was a simple fix, david is asking you to tell them how to fix it (don't forget you get paid to fix it).

It's a troll because they have completely ignored the information requests of anyone interested in fixing it, the mention of recruiting people from the community was just a PR-stunt in one of their "next week" updates. Furthermore, in what universe did BA have a right to even exist as a manufacturer if they can't even perform the most basic possible design goals within the massively-forgiving window of time they've had so far.

Worst part by far is lying about ... practically everything. From the initial dates, through the tapeout, to the 'shipping starts next week' fiasco. Now they're shipping their weakest product - well thanks a lot, but based several parameters at the time of purchase I will be looking at an ROI within a year (no fiat involved so BTC price is irrelevant).

I spent 12k USD today on competitor hardware.
I may not have made the best choice but I sure didn't make the worst ..

The hashboard x3 issues sound like a problem that should have been well known a long time ago.
Even if it's not trivial to fix.

Someone tell these Chinese guys that if this is how u make business in China, it doesn't really work for the rest of the world. No sane customer that spends 5 minutes to check on the company history before spending some $6k will purchase anything.

yes, if make them to court is expensive..but,when victims are so many..1.we can share the fees..2.that will pay the goverment's attention.. it's serious..

even if all these failed...I can exposure this company to media,dig and find out the boss of this company...let other customer not buy products from this cheating company and avoid being cheating by BA....

I shall never buy preorder or something like this..I can easily and safely buy the same machine in cheaper price than BA in China and most important is :it's stock miner..I can get very quickly...but,now...BA didn't send me my order and refuse my refund...

honestly, I thought BA is serious company in miners...but now, I don't think so, at least...they should accept customer's refund request if they are a good and responsible company...they said if they refund me, what about the products already or in productions...that make me laugh...if their products are good enough..they can sell them to other customer who want to buy their products.unless, they already knows they can't sell their products to other customers because no one will buy them and they are not competitiveness in the market now...

honestly, I am a graduate student...I really need money to support my life...first, I just want to make some money buy some gifts to my parents..but now...I am been cheated...I lost all my money..it's really a big amounts...I don't know what to do...I even can't pay school fees....and I am not tell my parents for now...I just don't want them worried.but maybe,they will know this someday I really can't support my life..they also have to call police and take this company to court...or ask for help from net and society....
I also not tell this to my partners...I don't think bitcoin should like this...cheating... that may make bitcoin died if lose trust....

bitmain and other company are selling miner in cheaper price now...(in stock)..I shall buy in stock miner not preorder....BA,,please refund me ,get my money back and also compensate for all this...

You bought a machine with a policy that says no refunds. You bought a machine with a policy that says they had no obligation to ship on time. You thought it would work out, like a lot of people here did, and now you're worried it didn't or it won't. Maybe that's a crime in China, I honestly don't know chinese law. But if you've made it a police matter you're definitely not helping anyone anywhere by talking about that police matter here.

Anyway, I'm starting to get a little long myself here, and I'm trying not to be too much of a ponce. I hold no authority over your right to post, and if you feel you should continue I cannot stop you.

Everyone should get screen shots of competitor hardware prices when the units actually ship. This will come in handy when they discuss compensation in a few months.

Unit is still running a solid 125gh at the pool 12 hours later. Will report back in the morning, Would you guys like a video? The thing is WHISPER quiet, even OCed.

tracyhh I'm sorry about your situation but maybe you take a risk that don't fully understand and make an investment you can't afford, I hope BA start soon with the refunds.

I wonder why only a few people use the "pay only 50% in advance" option like I did to try share the risk a little bit

So looking back- In the time wen we place the orders BA looked as a good option. No spondoolies and no antminer s1 out there. I hate the preorders but at that time the option of paying the 50% in advance and the rest when the shipment is ready seems very fair to me. The delays, the bad communication and some (in my opinion) bad decisions disappointed me but hey that's life.

Looking ahead- I hope mass production and shipments start in few days. I hope a final compensation plan very soon.But If the tech problems and delays continue I hope at least they can set up a minion farm to give us cloud hashing.
