That Minersource sticker is going to upset the precision heat vectors from doing their job and burn the unit out early.  BA ran a number of simulations but didn't account for the magnetic field variations of the glue between the sticker surface and metal casing.  That will cause a chain reaction and a tachyon pulse will emit static-field portal generation, and you may find yourself in the stone age running from dinosaurs.  Be wary!

Is the 120 GH/s at default settings, and can the asic be tweaked for faster speeds without additional cooling applied to it?

At current clock, 143w. Fan uses ~7.5W, Rpi uses ~7.5w, so ~128 for the actual miner, not bad. Power consumption will be significantly better on the controller models, as the pis are not configured to change voltage, as well as beta software.

Thats at 1200mhz.
At 800mhz we are getting ~81gh and 84w.

That would be one of our mining addresses for our p2pnode, yes.

I was more concerned with the notice at the top:
"Warning! this bitcoin address contains transactions which may be double spends. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to or from this address."
That's what happens when you use armory + generate virgin BTC

I thought BA said they would be at 75 watts for 100 GH/s?  Was this not achieved?

EDIT:  That is what they are still offering on their website, will there really be that big of a difference with their own control board?

The controller board is needed to control the voltage, so yes. Also thats 75w @ 100 for the X3 not the X1. Fan + pi is a significant overhead for the X1, uses 16W while CGminer is not functioning

Actually that happens regardless of wallet you use when you generate virgin BTC (especially with a p2pool node).  I get that warning on all my newly minted BTC from my node and I'm using the latest BitcoinCore.

Well, seeing an actual unit hashing is nice. Even if we dont ROI, we will likely recoup something. Now I kind of wish I had ordered a ton of X1s, those are gonna be easy to flip for $

That, and well, the X3 is still MIA and probably wont be seen for a while yet. The X1 buyers have effectively been subsidized by X3 buyers.  Undecided

You can be angry and say basically whatever you like. However we don't like people who are rude and abusive.

There is nothing that any irate customer could possibly say to you that is more rude and abusive than Black Arrow's conduct and performance. Case in point, this completely insane article making incredible claims about future product lines, when Black Arrow isn't even capable of ironing out the most entry level serial communications systems that even an intelligent hobbyist can do. There is literally no actual shipment-ready product confirmed in the 28nm line (other than purchasing the ASIC chips themselves at reduced prices now that indicate some kind of quick liquidation) , yet somehow it's acceptable for the company to talk like this to the press and general public:

http://bitcoinexaminer.org/alex-berk-black-arrow-as-soon-as-14nm-is-available-well-release-a-new-asic-that-will-outperform-any-other-14nm-designs/

Please contact me if you think you can solve the backplane problems. I will then discuss if it is possible for you to come solve it.

"Prospero X3 is a monster"

he clearly knows absolutely nothing about this industry. the next step is 16nm.
I am glad that tracyhh has gotten the police involved, it's way beyond the time this should have happened.

As for the comments regarding rude customers; it's not the place of the seller to act in such a manner. These methods are also illegal.

I'd avoid making it easy to identify who you are between your order number and you user name here. They are being vindictive about people who are anything but positive about them.

Same with BFL, I can't post anything without it being reviewed by a Moderator and nothing has managed to get through to being posted, not even a calm post so I doubt they are even looking at them so I guess I'm banned.  Funny thing is, I don't even know what I did to get banned.  No communication at all from them.

You can be angry and say basically whatever you like. However we don't like people who are rude and abusive.

It's called 'showing professional prejudice.' David, you should know better, as a professional entity, you are not entitled to express such opinion.
bring it down.

Actually the next step is 14nm, early 2015

david105396 as you will get your miner soon I am very interested in some information.

The relationship between temperature and overclocking.
The relationship between vcore (not me lol) and overclocking.
The relationship between temperature and power consumption.

If there is enough overhead in the stock heatsink you could test it by controlling the fan manually and setting it to the maximum. If there isn't it will also be interesting.

My guesses are that overclocking will be heavily dependent on temperature a midly on voltage hitting thermal limits with slight increases on vcc while on stock cooling, I also think that it is quite likelly that there is a significant decrease in power consumtion with decreased temperatures. For those things to be really noticeable we need at least 20ºC of difference.

That information would really help us extracting the best overclocking and or getting a better hash/w. I am building a custom cooling and it would help me quite a bit.
Also, what is the maximum overclocking and voltage that the interface/hardware lets you set? (even if it will never reach it with aircooling it might with water or phase change and what could be reached could determine what kind of cooling is worth).

These are the test I also plan to perform.

Actually the next step is 14nm, early 2015

Early 2015+ the obligatory 8 month delay.

You heard it first here, last quarter 2015, early 2016 for 14nm! Or was that the big surprise that we were all supposed to be so happy to hear. That by their own admission, this batch was just a dry run for them funded with the money of hopeful miners. Nice. Real great press release, just in time to get another batch of suckers to fund something else.

Why anyone with half a brain would ever consider black arrow again with the amount of COMPETENT competition that exists out there is beyond me.

We can't grow when we won't criticize ourselves!

Order #576
    Status: Complete
    Date: 08 Nov 2013, 16:05
    Payment method: Bank Transfer
    Shipping method: DHL

I'm not sure where I stood in the queue, although I am fairly certain that I ordered quite early and paid ASAP. (I have a fuzzy memory of reading somewhere that payment arrival date might matter.)

(Disclaimer: I also let customer support know, just in case it might matter, that nothing else was relevant to me -- case or no case, Pi or no Pi, LCD or no LCD, GUI or no GUI, PSU or no PSU... just as long as it would hash at anything near the stated rate, I would accept it. I cannot say if my "anything that hashes" request influenced anything from a shipment perspective.)

I will report back as soon as I receive notice from DHL, and of course as soon as I get the shipment cleared in customs and the hardware out of the box. Could take a while, still.

Well if he/she is order #576
I ordered my first one on 12/14/2013 and that order is #1197
Then ordered a 2nd one on 04/29/2014 to get the 3rd free one Order #2411
3rd PSU on 05/11/2014 Order #2789

So from Nov 08 to Dec 14 they had ~621 orders counting cancellation etc...
Then from Dec 14 to April 29 they had ~1214
and April 29 - May 11 ~378

But this is all orders not just Black Arrow Miners.

So there are a lot of Orders from Nov 08 to Dec 14 ~621 in 5 weeks.

So if anyone else gets a shipment it would be cool to tell us your order number so we have an Idea of approximately when we are next.

At current clock, 143w. Fan uses ~7.5W, Rpi uses ~7.5w, so ~128 for the actual miner, not bad. Power consumption will be significantly better on the controller models, as the pis are not configured to change voltage, as well as beta software.

Humm Rpi should only use ~2.5W? But I guess you may loose some from the AC/DC conversion.
What power supply was provided for the Rpi? Just a Micro USB charger? or are you powering off of the USB from the Miner itself?

That's not how it works, we paid your company money to do it. So go and do it, instead of trolling your customers in this manner. Once you're capable of doing the job that your customers paid you money to do, feel free to go ahead and talk like this, otherwise you're just embarrassing yourself as an organization.
He's not trolling, BA has come on the forums, said the problem they have and offered to pay anyone who could solve it. You said that it was a simple fix, david is asking you to tell them how to fix it (don't forget you get paid to fix it).
