Why should they comment on schedule?
Because we have paid for the kit and been promised a delivery date twice....? I presume it is coming but What if it's not till June or July or x If they promise a delivery date twice and they dont or cant deliver should we at least be told with fair warning ?and then compensated for our trust and patience? So, you want them to give you another date that they can miss? I'll tell you what, expect delivery about 4 weeks from today +- 1 week. That is about as real as you are going to get and since i said it, not them, there is no one to get mad at or complain about. No not at all in fact "almost" the opposite - if there is a delay I want them to hold their hands up and say "look we are not going to hit the deadline, we are sorry we know we promised it you twice this is what wer are doing this is what we will give you for putting up with the delays" or in fact "yes we are on schedule for shipping 1st of May" On the 6th of April we the staff on their forum quoted: "I am very confident that the deadline will be made and shipping will start on time. I will personally vouch for this." I just want to know one way or the other now In other words you want a report when and any time anyone touches any equipment, goes to lunch, takes a screwdriver in their hand at BA? You think they should also provide you with weather and traffic report? G-d forbid their engineer is not there for 5min. Just think of the delays that might cause. http://www.deadline.com/2014/04/video-snl-cnn-breaking-news-pregnancy-test/give me a fucking break. you've posted some pretty stupid shit since you've taken on this new role, but this takes the cake. If your sockpuppet comments are not funny enough, your MO is typically to belittle people after supposedly coming onboard to facilitate communications. You wrote: "What I am going to try is offer constructive criticism, improve customer relations and will try to provide you with some answers." You're doing a stellar fucking job, if your job description is being a snide asshole to customers of the company. people want simple answers as to whether or not they are still on schedule for this May 1 date. if you don't have them shut the fuck up and stop acting like a little bitch because your golden goose is shitting all over it's customers. Simple answer is that when they know they will tell you. I'd rather them work on my miner then hop here and provide an update that you will take out of context for which they will need to take time out and reply again. I could probably make them post 50 updates here daily that would make even me at least 3 hours sitting here adjusting the timeline of the release date. How would that help you? If anything major comes up they would post it, but any analytics of the release date on time frame of +1hr gain with this -2hr loss with this not helping anyone. They are entering probably the most critical stage right now as if anyone understands logistics of working with multiple vendors and making sure that pieces fall into the right places on time. On top of that there must be a backup plan for everything, parts, vendors anything you can possibly think that could go wrong. I progressed with BA on quite a few issues regarding refunds, releasing more information and as well as advising on their hosting center. This is not official BA posting. Just ramblings from my experience in manufacturing.

So Zurg do You work for them?
If so Then As a paying customer Please tell me, rather than insulting me, are we on schedule for the second deadline?
Dont go touch any equipment or lift a screwdriver or even look out the window to see what the traffic is like... just answer the question?
Unfortunately or fortunately I do not work for them. I have my own order with them and since I want to see it myself delivered ASAP I am assisting them on some levels of my expertise in IT on my own time. They do not provide me with with any updates like that.

10th April: "Received news from Global Foundries: they are 8 days ahead of schedule and will ship the wafers next week" 17th April: "The wafers have been shipped as confirmed by Global Foundries. The packaging supplier business partner received the wafers."
Well, still 8 days ahead of schedule.
By the way, KnCMiner started shipping one day after they had received chips last year, so to meet the deadline is still possible for Black Arrow.

So if your unhappy with stupid and rude comments made by suckups, They get to delete your views on said matters just because they don't feel your allowed to express dissatisfaction at lies that a company has already used and most likely are still doing by issuing the least amount of information to people who are fed up and have funded the development of new hardware when the hardware that people have paid for hasn't even been made.
Just my views feel free to delete once again just because you don't agree.

Better not to post at all than to post this drivel. As if they don't know where things stand -- add one line to their update, done.

Hi, I am building a phase change cooling for my prosperos and knowing the size of the chip package would help me quite a bit.
If the placement and distances on the board/case are known too it would be even better as I could have everything ready for when they arrive.
Thanks.

Thanks to zurg, i recieved a refund (he was pushing them/relaying messages) minus 50$ fee.
Why do you guy harass someone which tries to help? Some pages before he explained why he wants to help. After all hes no BA official, so dont blame him for BA's faults.

If zurg didn't act like a douce bag no one would have picked on him. He maybe a great guy but giving sarcastic replys to people when he doesn't even work for ba doesn't help people who are frustrated and worried about money they are now owed.

and yet the majority of us are not confident... Which is why we would appreciate a 2 second reply from BA as to whether or not they believe they will hit the mark. I am afraid they are avoiding this because they know they wont make it and they know the mass refund requests will begin.

Well..... I'm done.
Just messaged Matt then who has been corresponding with me via email over the past week or two. I've waited and waited, lost money, waited some more and now, I'm done. Sad it's come to this. Was my first foray into buying bitcoin mining hardware, definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
Poor form BA, poor form

Same here, I've got no problem waiting 2 or 3 months for a pre-order but 5+ months? And everything is looking like the products won't be delivered in May and another delay is imminent. So who knows how long customers have to wait? The main problems where: - The communicated shipping date was too optimistic. - Lack of communication to paying customers, from BA and resellers. - Initial offered compensation package to low. Now, I've asked for my money back more then a week ago hopefully I will receive it in the upcoming week or the equivalent in btc.

Apparently there is some information that david knows but isn't allowed to share.. which makes no sense to me because if there is information that will stop people from thinking there will be a second delay, shouldn't it be shared? But whatever.
Also, BOBSAG3, my email still isn't showing up in your database. And for God's sake, implement https for the login page
I do agree if you have information then share it if your not allowed to then for christ sake don't hint at information you are privy too but are not allowed to share that is just not cricket as we say in the UK.

Nobody knows if they are going to hit their deadline, even they don't know. They are relying on a lot of third parties here. They can hope for the best and that everyone comes through on time, but you can't be sure. So far I've heard nothing that indicates they can't do it, but it's also possible they'll hit a snag at any moment.
Also, there is that whole 5 days of free hosting or whatever, my guess is this is burn-in time before shipping? So if that starts on May 1st the actual shipping wouldn't be until May 5th or 6th. Right?

To clear things up. The development of the LTC chip has not been funded by the money of the pre-orders of the prospero miners. It is a project by the engineers which earn a salary.
